  1. Kimberly gets attack and walkspeed buffs that carries into the next rounds after activating her LV 3 Super.
  2. Chun-Li to Kimberly: "It makes me feel old to say this, but... your youth is downright blinding." Thoughts: I'll let my personal thoughts out of the way first: After the leaks, the new character that I was excited for the most was Kimberly. She just looked so popping, so exciting from first glance, and I had a feeling she was going to be someone captivating when we get a first look. And man, I was 100% sold on her at the end of EVO. Such pop and personality, I would agree with Chun's last part of the quote, blinding indeed. Overall, this quote may feel like a "Millennial vs Gen Z" jab, Chun ackowleging she getting up there in age might suggest so. But it's just a friendly compliment to a future (Ninja) star in the world of fighting. Kimberly has got it all, much more spunk, energy, hype, and charisma than Chun did when she was younger. Nothing but a bright colorful future for Kimberly (spray painted or otherwise). Ken to Chun-Li: "If an investigation is required, I'll cooperate. But the last thing I need is your help." Thoughts: Jesus Ken, what kind of fucked up shit did you get yourself involved with? I'm also not sure if Ken is aware that Chun-Li isn't part of any police organization anymore, so him cooperating with them or not should have no bearing on Chun-Li. Unless Chun-Li could use her connections to find out some information from interpol to find out what's going on. But Ken and Chun-Li have been on the same side against Seth in Ties That Bind, and against M. Bison in A Shadow Falls. I think by now, Chun-Li has earned Ken's trust as a fighter and as a friend. So I'm curious if there is something bigger at play that Ken isn't telling anybody. Like I would need more information to understand why he can't confide in someone he trusts. I don't think it's a pride thing. Or maybe he's avoiding Chun-Li for her protection? I have so many questions now!
  3. Guile to Chun-Li: "You've retired from investigation work? The caliber of your techniques say otherwise." Thoughts: I'm optimistic that these two are still good friends even into their older years. Guile notes that even after retirement, Chun-Li has never let up on her training, implying that she could easily jump back in whenever she wants and wouldn't miss a beat. Good quote, still mad respect between the two.
  4. Kimberly to Chun-Li: "Those moves of yours are beyond cool! I've got plenty to learn when I'm up against Chinese kung fu!" Thoughts: HOnestly, nothing really comes to my mind. I think it's mostly a young and excited fighter seeing a legend like Chun-Li in action and her iconic moves, and being blown away. Nothing that suggests any lore importance or relations. But it's a decent enough quote to make it sensible and make it work.
  5. My guess is she's a fighter by day, and a fashion designer by night? Crossing inspirations from both fields?
  6. Juri to Chun-Li: “The case ain’t closed yet. There’s plenty more playtime in store… Betcha can’t wait!” Thoughts: Dammit Juri, can you just leave Chun-Li alone? She's grown up! You're grown up! She doesn't have time to roleplay "Cops and Robbers Sadists" with your punk ass. She's got a school to run, a little girl to take care of. She's over her revenge arc, she's retired from Interpol, now leave her ass alone! AND NO SHE DOES NOT HAVE A SCHOOL GIRL CRUSH ON YOU? What is this, high school? Now I may be overanalyzing this, but I think this winquote may be another example of how Juri continues to be the "Anti-Chun-Li" of the franchise. Both fundamentally the same background, but one chose the side of justice and compassion, the other is about pain, fun, and revenge. And after Shadaloo has fallen, because of Chun-Li's compassion and care for others, she's found a new path for her in teaching kids and becoming a mom to Li-Fen. But Juri on the otherhand, now that Shadaloo's gone, she's got nothing now. She's bored out of her mind, looking up memes on her phone. And has no meaningful connections with other people except when she gets pleasure from hurting others, as usual. Chun and Juri: almost fundamentally the same character, but walking on opposite paths
  7. They updated the website. We FINALLY have story about Ken. Former US National Fighting Champ, and ex-VP of the Masters Foundation. Accusations of orchestrating a criminal plot have forced Ken to abandon his family and business and go into hiding. https://www.streetfighter.com/6/en-us/character/ken.html
  8. The button mashing is a little annoying. But if anything, I loved seeing how the characters move and watching the animations we haven't seen before: Kimberly's Super 1, the Time Out animations, Juri's Lv 3 version of her super, the character select screen animations before and after you select Juri/Kimberly as a character, the newer moves not showcased in the trailer, and the round win animations
  9. Chun had no time for relationships because she was chasing after M. Bison for revenge... NOT HIS RELATIONSHIP @Daemos!!!!!! We can debate about canon relationships, Chun-Li being 100% AGAINST M. Bison is 100% canon!!!
  10. Do you guys just love messing with me and my waifu or something? Because y'all overloading me with salt you clowns! MODS I LIKE TO REPORT CYBERBULLYING! THEY ARE SAYING MEAN THINGS TO ME! 😑😵 At times like these, I turn to the sage and calming thoughts from one of my all-time favorite animes.
  11. During the NYCFurby/LIJoe/Javits/ stream, we saw a quick glimpse of Chun's mirror match win quote to herself. https://imgur.com/O2R0OlR Chun-Li to Chun-Li: "My experiences have made me who I am. I will never stop moving forward." If we take this win quote as sort of a self-reflection, I do believe this quote is the best way to summarize Chun-Li's character up to this point. She's been through a lot from becoming an interpol officer at the age of 18, to fighting against many evil organizations, to raising children, teaching kung fu, and sort of becoming a mother. She certainly has grown, going from a student, to fighter, to teacher. Even started showing early signs of this in her SF3 ending, which was a step in a new direction; something bold for Capcom to do with her. Chun-Li now is a respected Sifu, according to her SF6 bio. And she is definitely much more mature, calm, experienced, and dare I say stronger, than she was when she started out her journey. SF6 aging up and having their characters move on is a bold but a right decision by capcom. And just in these few trailers and clips, we're seeing that growth first hand. Can't wait to see more information about Chun when we discover more in her story and world tour mode. But as a win quote, it's great.
  12. Ooooh! New trailer AND a look at the new modes! September can't come soon enough!!!
