Hey, guys, day after. Just kinda checking in. My mom and sister are okay. Both barely slept. I slept okay. We all just hurt mentally physically and emotionally. I went to sleep after talking to the gf for a few hours. She indulged me by letting me rant about comics and then we argued about hypothetical cat names (we’re no where near that stage. It just naturally came up due to me talking about animal heroes in comics) We’re meeting the funeral director today. Between army insurance, life insurance, Purple Heart and everything else all my mom has to do is sign some paper work. Which is great and will avoid a lot of stress and sadness.

Our hospice nurse noticed we haven’t left the room all day. So she asked if we ate and we said no. so she just brought us all dinner. Not even gunna lie; I’m seasoning these French fries and chicken strips with my tears right now, fam.

Just checking in. My dad is still around but he’s more-or-less comatose. He might as well be no longer with us but his brain is still trying to keep everything going. I really wish it wouldn’t though. I just want my dad’s pain and suffering to end. Cancer destroys so much more than the body and mind. It’s such an ugly and horrible thing. I’m tired, hungry, upset, sad, the whole emotional spectrum and then some. So is my mom and so is my sister. The hospice care floor has gone above and beyond for us and I’ll forever be thankful for them. Nurses said they’re not sure when it’ll be today but he will likely pass away today. All the nurses have been doing (see: Can do) is give him morphine and Ativan to make his passing as painless and comfortable as possible. A lot of people have been reaching out or commenting. I appreciate it. Whatever way you choose to send me the positive vibes and energy is welcomed and appreciated. You guys have been like an extended family to me for 15 years and I can’t thank you all enough for the laughs I’ve had and needing during my dads entire bout with cancer. I love you.

Twitter is fine. I really like it, tbh. Not to say it doesn’t have issues cause it does. But I use it for gaming news, comic book news and to follow my favorite writers and artists. I couldn’t stay in loop with so many things I hobby without tbh. So I have no issues with it. It also helps that I don’t invest any real time, thought or energy to it . I don’t have any kind of presence on there, either. Nor do I try to make one. It’s a lot easier that way. also, Twitter does have a dark mode. It has for years. 😂
