Happy Thanksgiving, Homies.

Just when I started thinking I was probably being too much of a jackass to Dosukoi Nation.

I fell asleep in Idom's SF6 stream last night. Some guys yelling real loud in Japanese woke me up early in the AM. I found myself in a MidnightSumo stream looking at sumo wrestlers fight it out. I'm not sure if this is a sign telling me I need to embrace the Dosukoi life or not. But assuming it is, I still wouldn't do that shyt.

Exactly how I feel. I know there's like a 0.00001% chance of me ever playing on one, but knowing it exists makes me happy. I felt the exact same way when I saw SFV get an Arcade release.

I been looking through my download list over the yrs. It's hard to believe I was once playing Arcana Heart for the story. I was deadass Googling questions about which ending was canon and who had the highest power levels. Now I'm Googling "why the fukk can't I Perfect Parry Honda's stupid ass buttslam?!" many yrs later. I've come a long way.

Man, I really dislike how this MR system has a lot of people acting. I could understand if those at the top would be given a trip to Capcom Cup, some $$, or a Blanka-chan doll for their troubles. All you get is a title and a reminder that you finished the Phase as a "Legend". But to constantly blacklist those who beat you...or come close to beating you, 1 and done anyone (even if they have high MR) who might prove to be a challenge, and spend most of your time calculating MR gain or loss, is some real Grade A next level fukk shyt. Truly. I'd be lying if I said I never get tight playing ranked. My salt be overflowing, but it's never to the point where I'm doing any of this shyt for a trivial ranking. I just play the game. I'd rather lose the set than run off and keep blacklisting everyone. "Legend" rank in Nov is nothing. Phase 2 literally just started on the 1st. The top 500 will likely look vastly different by Feb. Watching people play like they're scared to lose points already is a sad sight to see. If I'm doing all of that to maintain some silly online ranking, then it's time to find a different hobby.

Not sure if anyone saw this regarding Microsoft: Xbox is about to start banning 3rd party controllers. Most of the people I know that play fighting games on the Xbox are doing it because of the wide variety of controller options it has. This actually sucks.

You know, I wasn't really too excited about Tekken 8. Even though I thought Tekken 7 was one hell of a game, I never really got into it like that. After giving the beta a try, I can say that I'm looking forward to it now. I played Jun a lot in Tekken 2, so it was nice to use her again. I tend to gravitate to Xiaoyu. My Tekken 8 ID was "MyJunIsFree" 😄

Oh man. I really did not need to hear that. RIP Floe. I'll always remember the joy and laughs I got from your streams. His Birthday was just on the 11th. Terrible.

Over the past several weeks, a lot of my sessions were basically, "Please let me get back to the MR I started off with", or, "Let me at least hit 1800" after getting knocked all the way back down to 1700 MR. I needed any moral victory I could claim. I was constantly coming out with less MR. It was tough, but I finally hit my goal of 2K MR. Now I can relax and dive into World Tour.

This MR system is mad brutal. What you gain in 15 wins you can lose in 2 losses. Then you'll face a wave of opponents who'll give 1 or 0 points for winning. Sometimes I gotta remind myself that I'm not actually playing bad. The system is just volatile.

Seeing JP players raging about other JP players is the most funniest shyt ever.

Joey was a Mika player and I guess he's not finding that in Manon. Regardless of how you feel about SF6, there's no way anyone can say SFV has it beat in player expression. Even with the low forward DR, it's not even close.

You know, I was a bit salty the other day because I played like shyt. Then I realized...I felt this same exact way playing SFV early on. Well, a bit later. I was pretty ass early on. Looking at some of my fav players, many of them have been getting their asses handed to them in ranked as well. They'd be at 2k MR and then suddenly back down in the 1900s. I was watching Brian F's stream yesterday and he was getting smoked ALL day. I'm obviously not on their level, so it should be no surprise that the 1800-1900 is a sticking point for me. It's expected. I guess my main point is that this isn't a race. I need to stop acting like it is. MR gets reset every 3 months anyway. Improvement remains. Overall, I''m still playing more Battle Hub matches. I feel like I can unwind and try out new stuff there. That TMNT song was getting on my last fukkin nerves, but I'm used to it now.

I'll see a lot of Master players not run it back with Diamonds or those who don't give anything more than a few MR. Personally, I run it back with all Diamonds because I just wanna play. I'll take that over fighting the same people multiple times within the same hr. I remember back in SFV when a player had just reached Diamond and were paired up with me almost immediately. I felt so bad lol.

I started chillin in the hub last night and I did find myself enjoying it. I had my sights set on getting to 2K MR, but this system makes it so hard. On top of getting the same exact people, I'll get a stretch of players that give me 2 MR or 1. Sometimes 0. Then I'll get on a nice couple streaks and lose all my progress in like 4-5 games. I kinda just starting to care less about it.

The past couple sessions have been awful. I just can't vibe with this game at the moment. Feels like I hit a wall. Can't stop people from doing dumb shyt. The matchmaking is supposedly fixed and yet I fight the same exact people MULTIPLE times within the same hr. No matter what time of the day I play. Too many people are playing this game to be paired with the same people. I don't want to have to blacklist players so I can have an actual fresh session. Man, I'm just having less and less fun playing SF6.
