  1. I had a great accomplishment the other day. I mashed out of a stun in SFV and went on to win the round. That shyt NEVER happens.
  2. Kiwami was my first introduction into the series. I enjoyed it. Decided to get 0. That game is legit a 10/10 to me. I don't give many games that type of rating. Haven't played Yakuza in awhile, but I'm gonna eventually run through all of them.
  3. So I was just reading the most recent chapter of Dragon Ball Super. Goku and co have been squaring off with a powerful planet devouring wizard named Moro. Goku (in typical Goku fashion) was impressed and felt it was unnecessary to destroy such power. That led to him trying to reason with him: Moro is not a warrior at heart. He only gained power through consuming the life energy of planets. Even still, Goku believed he could've ended up more powerful if he trained instead. Now this leads me to Bison: unlike Moro, Bison is a warrior at heart. Despite that, Bison is all about increasing his power through artificial means. If Ryu was to suggest Bison go off and train, I find it hard to believe Bison wouldn't respond in a similar manner. In Ultra SF2/HD Remix, Akuma talks about Bison allowing his Psycho Power to master him instead of mastering it: We know Akuma didn't start out this way. He was originally at a level that Gouken could handle. He eventually went on to become a problem the more he continued to improve. So let's assume Bison took up Akuma's mindset and choose to focus on harsh training above all else. Do you believe he could far outstrip the power gain that came with the Black Moons? Or is focusing on enhancing Psycho Power the artificial way a more favorable choice for Bison in the long-run?
  4. Just saw the "You can play as an add-on character for a limited time" notification and quickly thought about Dan. Then I realized it's the free trial for the DLC characters 😡
  5. Thanks for the B-day wishes, homies. To test things out, I hopped online to see if I can still DP on reaction. It was looking kinda shaky But I still got it.
  6. I feel better already. At least my reactions are still kinda aight, so I still got time. But in all seriousness, I'm thankful to have made it to where I am.
  7. I'm old as fck. Turn 33 tomorrow. Help me feel better about myself, homies.
  8. I'm really curious to see how the peripherals will be handled on PS5. I wonder if the stuff about Arcade Sticks will apply to controllers like FightPads. That's one of the things I'm most looking forward to learning.
  9. I'm another who mainly plays who I like. Jill was my point throughout MVC3 for cryin out loud. Even if the character is balls, I do what I can to make them work. Now some characters just won't cut it. For example, I like Kyosuke in CVS2, but everyone collectively agrees that character is bottom of the barrel gutter trash. Knowing how I am, I'd still try to make the most of him.
  10. After playing for a few hrs, I can say it was mostly good. A few weird connections, but they were pretty minor. That's pretty cool.
  11. People can lose to you 30 times, but let them win one and they can't stop tbagging. Buncha cornball ass players online.
  12. Was sorta hoping the matchmaking would be reverted to what it was prior to the Mar update. What's funny is I got paired with Comeback Kid (Cali Honda) last week out of nowhere. It was early in the AM, so the game is probably likely to match you up regardless of distance if there aren't too many online.
  13. Thought it was interesting how SNK changed their Story Mode format from KOF13 to KOF14. In KOF13, there was a Story Mode (that I really enjoyed, since there were different paths based on the team you selected) and an Arcade Mode with endings. In KOF14, the Story Mode was basically changed to your usual Arcade Mode with endings. This was repeated in SamSho as well. I wonder how SNK is going to handle KOF15.
  14. What's weird is how I skipped most of the Story Modes this gen. If anyone knows how I am, you'll know I've always been someone that cared about the story in fighting games. The only stories I actually completed this time around was SFV, MVCI, and MKX. Completed most of Power Ranger's story, but still have some left since the various updates. Completed like 8% of DBFZ's (which is shocking since I love DBZ), like 10% of Tekken's, watched some GG story, never started Cross Tag Battle, Injustice 2, and any other game with a Story Mode. I like to tell myself I'll sit down one day and complete them just for the hell of it, but I never do it. I'm not against Story Mode at all, but I'm at the point where I'm perfectly fine with a nice in-depth Arcade Mode. When it comes to SFV's story, I really wasn't a fan of how they handled the interaction (or lack thereof) between Guile and Nash. I feel like they really screwed the pooch there.
  15. I always liked Rose's Alpha 1 stage with the coliseum: Not expecting it, but I wouldn't complain.
  16. GG's homies. Gotta get off. It was great finally playing with everyone. We gotta do this more often. Thanks to Darc for the inv. I was seconds from hopping off before I saw the notification. I hurried with the quickness. Good shyt yall.
  17. It's nice seeing so many stages I forgot were in the game.
