  1. I'm all for Nash being buffed in any way possible. I felt bad seeing him struggle so much over the yrs. I dunno. I fought nothing but Nash players the other day, but I didn't come away from it feeling like his buffs were unnecessary.
  2. Already seeing a lot of people bitch and moan about Nash's Sobat. I can't stand whiners. Please shut the fck up.
  3. Funny how I was literally just reading one of the KOF Manhua's where the Metal Slug crew were fighting Krizalid.
  4. Just got my first vaccine shot. Been dreading it over the past few weeks, but I'm glad I went and got it done. Just gotta wait and see how it goes now.
  5. I think the main buff she got was being able to cancel EX Arrow into VT. I can confidently say I've never once canceled EX Arrow into VT. Seems very inconsequential to me, but that's probably because I never find myself in a situation where I'd need to cancel drill into VT. Honestly, people have hated Cammy since the very beginning. I get it, but I also think it got old a long time ago. On another note, I've been using VT2 for the past few months. I honestly can't imagine going back to VT1. And I remember laughing at anyone who ever chose to use VT2. It's much more fun to me, but I understand why no other Cammy players would use it. It was a VT that I only used in certain match-ups (Projectile users like Sagat and shotos) to now using against the whole cast.
  6. Definitely gotta agree there. I also like how Capcom took it a step further and highlighted Rugal's ability to absorb someone's power entirely. In the KOF universe, Rugal was mainly a mimic. Aside from Geese and Krauser's moves, he says something along the lines of, "Leave Kyokugen Karate to me. Perish!!" when he defeats the Art of Fighting team. In the KOF Destiny movie, Rugal copied Heidern's Cross Cutter, Terry's Crack Shoot, and Kyo's flames. The Kusanagi bloodline restriction wasn't enough to stop him from using it. In CVS2, Rugal tells Bison in his special intro that he's going to seize his power, and we see him absorb Akuma's Satsui no Hado in the story. It's a crossover, so they have room to play around with things. Still, I wonder if the ability to absorb someone was something he gained from the Orochi Power. About Rugal's slaughter of Heidern's men. I've read a few different accounts of that event: - Rugal was being investigated by Heidern, got annoyed, kidnapped his family, and eventually killed Heidern's men, family, and beat Heidern to a pulp on the Blacknoah -Rugal heard about Heidern's high-marks as a soldier and decided to go to his base to slaughter him and everyone else to demonstrate his power Now the 2nd story sounds more likely. I don't think Heidern would've remained alive if he actually confronted Rugal on the Blacknoah. Then again, he defeated Saisyu on the Blacknoah and didn't turn him into a statue. I still don't know how Saisyu survived the damn Blacknoah being detonated in the first place. Hell, Rugal even lost a arm during the explosion, so Saisyu coming out in one piece is magic. @YagamiFire"Evil is what keeps life interesting" - Rugal Rugal embodies everything about that quote.
  7. Rugal is so uppity that he doesn't even want a statue of Dan ruining his collection.
  8. I've been looking through some of the CVS2 win quotes over the past few days. It's been fun. I don't know a lick of JPN, but thankfully there are some systems online that help give you an understanding. Rugal says this to Bison: 私 以上 の 「 悪 」 は い ない こと を 、認 識 し て もらえ た か な ? Rough translation: "Do you recognize that there is no one more "evil" than me?" That's the best I could get out of it. The context seems to be Rugal comparing his level of evil to Bison's. It really captures who Rugal is. One of his likes is his "Evil Heart", so he takes pride in being a pretty wicked dude. Geese doesn't even seem anywhere near as bad as Rugal. Now when it comes Bison, he's literally filled with evil energy and grows in power based on negativity. Even knowing all of this, Rugal's evil nature still feels unique enough to be in a class of its own. He was already terrible well before he gained the Orochi Power. By the time we see him in '94, his organization had already been up and running for quite awhile. The only villain I've ever seen refer to himself as a "Superstar". Another thing I like about both is how their origins are still a huge mystery. The most we know about Rugal is that he has two children and an unnamed younger brother he's estranged from. Apparently over the whole black market organization he runs. By the time we see him in '94, his organization had already been up and running for quite awhile. With Bison, we know he trained under a Master that he eventually killed after developing Psycho Power. After that, he basically created Shadaloo and became the ruler of the underworld. T. Hawk's father was killed and had his land taken by Bison and Shadaloo 30 yrs prior to SF2, so Shadaloo had been around for a really long time. Bison and Rugal are too cool.
  9. Eagle: 'It's natural for a man to be attracted to a strong man." Akuma: "A monkey that should be abandoned, stupid!" Chang: "Messaaaatsu! Just joking, ghee hya ha ha ha! Akuma: "Would you like to take a trip to Hades first?" Bruh, some of these CVS2 win quotes got me yelling. And the most hilarious part is I can imagine an interaction between Akuma and Eagle/Chang going down exactly like that.
  10. So I was watching a Rose Vs Alex replay and their win quotes both grabbed my attention. I forgot about these. "Unless you confront the threat that lies before you, you will never awaken your true power." "Rough times ahead, huh? Sounds like fun." Alex's win quote sounds like a direct response to hers. So I'm guessing the "threat" in this instance is Gill. The "rough times" has to be Tom getting battered.
  11. I decided to go back to SF4 in order to brush up on some stuff. Rose mentions this in her prologue: "The fate of this card lies in the hands of one man. But he cannot act until the stars align to herald his coming. I can only protect him, guide him, offer aid in his quest to destroy Bison. This will be my last mission" Rival battle with Ryu: "Ryu. You are the last hope. I can't let you pass" Win quote: "Listen to me. You must wait here. It is for your own good." Now based on everything Rose said, Ryu could only make his move when the stage is set for it to happen. This leads to my question: what do you believe the consequences would have been for Ryu had he been allowed to go to the SIN lab? From Rose's perspective.
  12. The Gief quotes: To Rose: "Do your little magic trick. You never guess my true identity! Gah ha ha ha!" To Dan: "You talk good fight, but you still lose!" To Seth: "Enough of this! If you are a heel, then act like one!" To Gill: "Whoa, you're strong! About as strong as that Ortega fellow. Either way. The Gief is victorious!"
  13. Not sure if it's because I'm still learning or not, but Ryu feels like hell. I loved fighting Ryu in SF4. Now? It's entirely different. Mostly because she can no longer reflect. Cammy match-up is balls. Rashid is balls. Bison is balls. Balrog is balls. Karin is super duper blue balls. I gotta grind those match-ups out more.
  14. Honestly, she's much better than I originally thought. Watching Sako, Justin, and Nephew made me realize that, along with putting more hrs into her. You just have to really know the spacing with her and not throw normal's out all willy nilly. Sorry for missing your invs. I got you this week/weekend for sure.
  15. Sad. I could tell he was really uncomfortable with her tho.
  16. The best is running into them not too long after, beating their ass, and watching the timer go down as they desperately ready up.
  17. Rose is going to take a lot of work man. A lot. There are certain match-ups that feel almost impossible (Rashid, Karin, Cammy, Bison, Rog) to play solid in. You could feel the struggle against those characters. I don't use Soul Punish enough. That's something I always realize after the match is over. I've gotten more comfortable using ST.HP, which I feel is a really good normal. Luffy is feeling the struggle as well. I think a lot of it comes from making the switch from an explosive character to one that has to play much more carefully.
  18. I am in a lounge fighting my homie Delta-Red. I have to be like 1-19 against his Cammy right now. It feels so brutal, yet so necessary.
  19. My Rose already feels 10x better today than she did yesterday. Learning a new character and having to rewire my entire gameplan breathes new life into the game for me.
  20. You know, I really like Rose's quote to F.A.N.G about his loyalty to Bison. Rose to F.A.N.G: "Far deadlier than the poison you wield is the loyalty you pledge to your leader." We see F.A.N.G go from attempting to assassinate Bison to worshipping the ground he walked on immediately after. And we know it wasn't fake worship, either. F.A.N.G's quotes and role during the story shows he'll eliminate anyone who opposes (or even offends) Bison. None of the Kings ever demonstrated anywhere close to the level of loyalty as him...and they've been rolling with Bison for far longer.
  21. Rose's story begins with her having a sparring match with her apprentice. Menat simply repeating her Master's words is enough to fill her with excitement, though Rose believes she should focus more on lessons than words alone. Rose has plans to travel for the day, which Menat is able to accurately predict. Running errands seems like a minor thing that Menat can handle, but Rose tells the eager young apprentice that this is something she must handle herself. She then leaves for India. She meets up with Oro to share her concerns on the strange energy she's been sensing. Bison and his Psycho Power has vanished from the world, but the energy she's sensing is different from Bison's Psycho Power. Oro can also sense that the energy is different from Bison's. The energy itself contains no evil and feels as though it's aligned with nature. Rose can sense that as well, but the overwhelming force of it is too great for her to ignore. That's why she searched for the source of this power in order to challenge it. The individual that holds this power is "The Fool", also known as G. After the battle ends, G is now convinced that Rose can understand who he is, as well as what's going to happen to them in the future. Rose is struggling with the vision...since the vision shows the end of everything. G assures her that the vision they're both seeing is their inevitable fate, as well as the fate for the Earthlings and the entire universe. Rose still isn't sure who G is. Despite that, the vision she took a glimpse at was enough to convince her that the world was going to meet its end....and nothing could be done to prevent it from happening. Rose believed the removal of Bison and Shadaloo would allow the world to escape a future crisis. Unfortunately that doesn't appear to be the case. The distraught Rose finds herself back home with the alarmed Menat quickly running her a bath to calm her down. Bison's Psycho Power nearly pushed the world towards destruction. Even though that threat has been dealt with, the path towards destruction still remains. Rose was so focused on Bison's impact on the world that she didn't notice the world was already going downhill. Some unknown evil in the past is what put the world on this current course. If that evil could be stopped before sprouting, the imminent destruction of the world could be halted. Rose believes she's the only one capable of handling things. Her past self is needed for this task. To start things all over again. From zero... Rose Alpha Ending: Rose SF4 Ending: Rose SFV Ending: Shadaloo Data: Yo, that Shinkiro art in Rose's SFV ending is 🔥 Rose's story is easily my fav one so far. The seriousness went from 0-100 real fast. I love it.
  22. The mauling I took in these CFN streets today is retribution for all the people I've hurt with Cammy. On another note, I watched Luffy lab Rose for hrs and play just as bad as I did once he jumped into Ranked. One thing's for certain is that I have to eliminate all SF4 tendencies here. It doesn't work. I played SF4 over the past few days and I realized that this actually spilled over into how I was playing Rose today. I'm definitely here to stay tho. I just know I'm gonna have to really lab Rose and put the time in if I'm going to become solid with her. No shortcuts here. The same way I approached Cammy early on when I was getting stomped...is the way I have to approach Rose. The main difference is Cammy is very straightforward and Rose is more difficult to play. I can't really switch when the goings get tough. I have to actually lose and learn to how to adjust. The ass whooping's today have me motivated, not gonna lie.
  23. Got bodied hella hard in the cfn streets. My Rose ain't ready.
  24. VT2 seems too short right now. It feels like it's over once you activate it. I might have to start playing with VT1.
