  1. In retrospect, it really was terrible. I think what I liked most about it was the fact that it had a Story Mode and pseudo fatalities (I believe they were called Overkills) in it. I was pretty bad at the Double Dragon games, so I didn't have a fond memory of the series as a whole back then. But yeah, just about every Double Dragon fan I know would rather pretend that game never existed. I became a much more avid fan of the Double Dragon in the later yrs. Double Dragon 3 was still piss hard for no apparent reason tho. I salute any normal human that was able to complete that game. I just came across a tweet from a Capcom artist from the 90's that talked about Capcom being approached by DC to make a fighting game: Funny how I literally was just playing the Justice League fighting game. Now I'm just imagining how the DC characters would've been designed in a Capcom fighting game.
  2. I've been playing a lot of older fighting games from the SNES/Genesis/NES over the past couple. A few: What I found interesting about the above games is that they all had the six-button layout. The Street Fighter layout was the way to go back in the day. A few other games (TMNT Tournament Fighters SNES version) went with the four-button layout. I like playing and analyzing the games from back then.
  3. I think what you said at the end is what it comes down to. I've played this game for yrs, so this feeling is normal. Starting to notice this with certain streamers as well. It's the burn-out. On another note, looks like Avengers did pretty bad: When I saw the huge drop in the player base, I already knew what was up.
  4. Most likely what it is. Part of me still wants Capcom to release another league for a new goal, but I don't think it matters at this point. Maybe things will change once Dan is released.
  5. Playing SFV has been much more draining lately for some reason. I think it's because I'm mostly playing this game outta habit at this point.
  6. I am tired of running into Seth. Mash out jab into a combo that leads into a whole corner carry. Go to punish his whiffed dive kick and he can still block in time. Shyt is so dumb.
  7. I was thinking about Injustice 2 earlier. I really wish I could've gotten into that game. The idea of being able to use DC characters in a fighting game has always been a great idea to me. The content is on point. I just couldn't get into the battle system no matter how hard I tried. Sometimes I wonder how characters like Superman and Batman would be designed by Capcom or ASW.
  8. SFV has a lot cool stages. Wish the optimization on PS4 was better. The Grid is extra dull.
  9. VS1 seems to be the general default since VS2 is terrible.
  10. So I was bored and turned on MVCI to play around for a bit. Man, Sigma is such a well-designed character in this game. I really hope he makes a return in some form, because he really was one of the bright spots about this game. I feel like they nailed him about as perfectly as they could. Most of the VA work is atrocious, but you could tell he was really into the Sigma role. His implementation was much better than X's imo.
  11. I remember people were acting like Seth really struggled in neutral. I fought a good amount of them and he is a nightmare at times. Seth reminds me of S3 Cammy. Everyone had a pocket Cammy back then. Now everyone has a pocket Seth. Most of the players that moved to PC are playing Seth. The only thing that'll make people drop him are nerfs. I still find it funny how my S3 Cammy was nowhere near as good as my S4 Cammy. Everyone all but dropped her like a hot potato even though she wasn't gutted like many wanted to believe.
  12. Most Zeku players think he bodies Cammy without question. Not a Zeku player, so I have no opinion. Likely just comes down to opinion. Even when I play Karin, I'd rather fight Cammy than fight Seth. I legit feel Seth is far more irritating to fight than the majority of the roster.
  13. I've never played a SF game in my life where so many DPs just so happen to whiff. It's ridiculous.
  14. When I start mashing to accept a match via Fight Request and see the 1 bar flash as I'm doing it:
  15. They're back on this stupid looting shyt after a dude was shot and killed by the cops. I legit hate the amount of trash ass fcks that feel comfortable destroying any and everything. These people aren't "protesting". This is all a huge joke. Now a lot of businesses are having to shut down outta fear. It is truly some demented people walking amongst us out here. We were just getting over the previous looting shyt, but now we have to deal with this crap again. I'm tired of it.
  16. I'm not getting on tonight. I'll try the next time you have a lobby night.
  17. I main Cammy/Karin as of right now. Actually looking forward to seeing how Rose will translate in SFV.
  18. I had a great accomplishment the other day. I mashed out of a stun in SFV and went on to win the round. That shyt NEVER happens.
  19. Kiwami was my first introduction into the series. I enjoyed it. Decided to get 0. That game is legit a 10/10 to me. I don't give many games that type of rating. Haven't played Yakuza in awhile, but I'm gonna eventually run through all of them.
  20. So I was just reading the most recent chapter of Dragon Ball Super. Goku and co have been squaring off with a powerful planet devouring wizard named Moro. Goku (in typical Goku fashion) was impressed and felt it was unnecessary to destroy such power. That led to him trying to reason with him: Moro is not a warrior at heart. He only gained power through consuming the life energy of planets. Even still, Goku believed he could've ended up more powerful if he trained instead. Now this leads me to Bison: unlike Moro, Bison is a warrior at heart. Despite that, Bison is all about increasing his power through artificial means. If Ryu was to suggest Bison go off and train, I find it hard to believe Bison wouldn't respond in a similar manner. In Ultra SF2/HD Remix, Akuma talks about Bison allowing his Psycho Power to master him instead of mastering it: We know Akuma didn't start out this way. He was originally at a level that Gouken could handle. He eventually went on to become a problem the more he continued to improve. So let's assume Bison took up Akuma's mindset and choose to focus on harsh training above all else. Do you believe he could far outstrip the power gain that came with the Black Moons? Or is focusing on enhancing Psycho Power the artificial way a more favorable choice for Bison in the long-run?
  21. Just saw the "You can play as an add-on character for a limited time" notification and quickly thought about Dan. Then I realized it's the free trial for the DLC characters 😡
  22. Thanks for the B-day wishes, homies. To test things out, I hopped online to see if I can still DP on reaction. It was looking kinda shaky But I still got it.
