  1. Yeah! It's great. Specially for DS fans. But HSF2 gallery was a HUGE disappointment (only 3 art).
  2. From a narrative/story standpoint, that would have been much more interesting than Ryu Hadoken (filled with Mu No Ken) Vega/Bison to win. Something he did on Ties That Bind to win his fight against Seth in the very previous title. That would also give room to explore a little bit more Necalli's character AND Vega's powers. Same....
  3. It also mentions that Shadaloo was sundered.... the japanese translation (google translator) of the same text straightforward translates it as destroyed... The first mistranslation of SF6 was already spotted? @Miðgarðsorm @bakfromon
  4. Well, that could also explain why he decided to go back to basics and freeball during fights....
  5. So Capcom FINALLY made their minds and turned NYC into Metro City? Interesting it being the centre of the trailer. Even Damnd/Thrasher made an appearance. Also, Yun's ending from 3rd Strike playing in one of the Times Square screens... At first I thought Chun-Li was fighting Li-Fen, but it seems to be a new character called Kimberly. Also, initially i thought Jamie was FANG LOL Looks pretty cool so far. Who want some Hado Pizza? LOOOOOOOL
  6. Shadaloo was depicted in an cartoony way since SF2CE. It was in the SF2 Movie where we had the best Shadaloo depiction as a criminal paramilitary organization hinting that it's tentacles were entangled in all kind of activities, legal or not. They were even planning on to have a candidate to run the presidential elections in the USA. The Shadaloo soldiers here were at their best. Then, SF2Voyage had Shadaloo being an terrorist ambiental group. Shadaloo soldiers here were meh. Those uniforms were too flashy. Zero/Alpha Shadaloo was copy/paste straight from SF2 movie. SSFIV had Shadaloo soldiers similiar to Zero. If I recall exactly, I believe they just appeared in Evil Ryu's ending. SFV Shadaloo, it's... flamboyant, flashy, but I can relate, since F.A.N.G. is the second one in charge under Vega only. Vega seems to have given him green light to remodel Shadaloo. So he did it. And that's why Birdie left Shadaloo, not only because of the new uniform's hat that would ruin his hair, but also from how the soldiers were treated being infused (and brainwashed) with Psycho Power. Probably being called a traitor and executed if someone refused. I liked that they gave different personalities to the Dolls though. Better than being brainless robots like in SFZ3. Although Juni/Juli Z3 background story is pretty creepy.
  7. Pity, we won't have an April Fool's game gag this year.... From what I could get, we would have a fake announcement of a Final Fight game in Game Boy Pokémon style.
  8. However, they ALSO referenced/re-enacted another famous SF2 scene.... (min 4:33) Yeah, a pity he didn't appear in that trailer.
  9. Since he's wearing a t-shirt, I wonder if they removed his shoulder star and "V" chest tattoo as well.
  10. Hi guys! I edited the original posts to include @sKreetFighteZtranslations for the character's stories. Here's part 3: STREET FIGHTER V CHAMPION EDITION STYLE GUIDE PART 3 Rashid Karin Zangief Laura Dhalsim F.A.N.G. Next, season 1 characters.
  11. Wow @Doctrine_Dark! That's AMAZING! Can I add them to the guide? Giving you credit of course. Now I only need the random ones and the quotes from the beta versions and It'll be 100% complete. And no... Mike isn't Mike Bison/Balrog... at least... not anymore. 😅 Speaking of the betas... does anyone knows where I can find the SFV betas? Until 2020 there was a site that used to host them. But that site is down. And... expect more scans from the SFVCE Style Guide this week.
  12. That's from Rose's account in AASFZ1. She also repeat this verbatin in her vanilla SF4 prologue. There, it was translated as "Soul Power is the one weapon you cannot control. It is your weakness. And it will be your undoing." Capcom have been pretty consistent with the old material. Very little was changed/retconned. Let's see if with the time travel they will keep it that way. I really would like to see Vega training Rose. But I don't think it will happen... It's interesting the 2 students thing that you mentioned. In the SF2 Dash/CE Gamest account, Vega's master had 2 students before Vega that also were able to manipulate Psycho Power to some extent. When asked about those 2 students on Twitter, Akira Nishitani mentioned that "a lot of things were made up by the videogame magazines" (without specifically saying what). However, the 2 students were mentioned in Vega's SF2 Dash/CE section in the AAC book...
  13. Well, here is the man who can bring your "suicidal psycho powered dream" to come true: 😋 But, since in his recent tweet concerning SF2 outcome he totally ignored the SF4 C. Viper trailer.... and the latest timeline having SFZ3 and SF2 as separate events... I believe we won't have a canon "daemos in the mergeverse of suicidal madness" so soon...😅 Not impossible, though. Actually... not totally. That's 70% Capcom's fault and 30% Vasili's. In the jap version of SFZ3, Capcom only stated that they have the same soul and that Vega/Bison and Rose had a Master - Pupil relationship. And, given the descriptions of Psycho and Soul Power at the time in AAC (and if I'm not mistaken in AASFZ1 as well) being the same power (Vega's SFZ1 japanese ending and Rose's USF4 prologue) with opposite polarities, the conclusion you can draw is that Rose is the good portion and Vega the evil one. Also, from Rose's AAFZ1 account, we do know that Rose's master, from whom she was taught to use Soul Power, was someone kind who said to her the following words "One day, for sure, you will head to the battleground. Never forget one thing: 'soul power' is, for you, a powerful weapon and also an insurmountable weakness...”And, if Vega was her only master, that means he, at least while training her, wasn't the monster that we know... What Vasili did? Tried to join all the information that we had at the time, but with a little bit of his head cannon (and that was his mistake): He tried to fit in when Vega's soul got split in two. Since after murdering his master was the turning point to when he started a murder spree, he thought that this was when Vega "expelled" all the goodness in his soul, so he could fully master Psycho Power, that got even stronger when the user fully embraced evil energies, specially hate. Since Psycho Power became his late power, he thought that Vega's master actually taught Soul Power to Vega, who, upon learning that his hateful state of mind would lead to a much greater power, Psycho Power, decided to kill his master after learning everything from him. The expelled goodness of his soul would become (or would possess) Rose somehow. However, Capcom never mentioned anything about it. Capcom's fault for handling the subject so poorly. I do believe that Capcom had something in mind for Rose in SFZ1 and 2, but that changed in Z3. The same thing happened with the Shun Goku Satsu description back then. That the one receiving it was sent to hell and, their past sins would attract demons who would attack the soul. Possibly he mistranslated from Gouki's SFZ3 ending. The international version also mentions that the past sins is what will kill the person receiving it. Again, partially Capcom's fault. Now, Gouken and Gen being zombies....🤢😩
  14. STREET FIGHTER V CHAMPION EDITION STYLE GUIDE PART 2 Vega (M. Bison in the United States) "The leader of the secret criminal organization; Shadaloo. He uses Psycho Power and schemes on conquering the world. He increases Psycho Power with people’s fears, with Shadaloo’s plan to emerge as the one and only strong arm, but Bison’s true purpose is to only fight the strong. Bison’s own ambitions is to take over the mind and memories of a substitute body and continue to fight forever."1 "Head of the secret criminal organization Shadaloo. He uses Psycho Power, and plans to control the entire world. Shadaloo's plan is, through fear of people, to increase the strength of Psycho Power and obtain a unique power; but Vega's real goal is to find a really strong opponent. Transmitting his soul to a surrogate body and continuing to fight eternally is Vega's personal ambition."2 Cammy "One of the strengthened soldiers Dolls who’ve undergone body modifications in Shadaloo. She was rescued by the British Special Unit Delta Red in a state of amnesia, but her true purpose was Shadaloo’s scheme to send in a spy into Delta Red. In order to protect her fellow Dolls who are brainwashed and used as murder weapons, she decides to abandon her position and friends." Birdie "A former member of Shadaloo’s organization with a rude and rough personality. Though he has the abilities as a fighter, he’s easily enticed by his own immediate desires and doesn’t reflect on his actions. After escaping from Shadaloo, he is picked up by Karin, the head of the Kanzuki Zaibatsu and serves as a guest. His body is out of shape due to living a lazy life, however his strong obsession with hairstyles remain the same as before." Ken "Ryu’s best friend and greatest rival. Although he stands on top as being stamped as America’s biggest conglomerate, his bright personality is alive and well. He became even more stronger by gaining family bonds that supports him. As Ryu strengthens the Hadoken and improves the accuracy towards the blow, Ken refines his Shoryuken and increases the density of the consecutive attacks." Necalli "An ancient warrior who appears in a place of a strong fighting spirit and begins rampaging over the soul of a strong man. During a time of conflict that comes once every several hundred years, the “Surge of Murderous Intent” materializes “Necalli” in the form of a human being who appears all over the world. He has no sense of rationality and his words are uncertain, and he makes noises such as “Devourrrrr” and “Getepe”. Miasma pollutes the minds of those who come in contact with the unfolding, and those who are polluted will act violently similarly to Necalli." Balrog (Vega in the United States) "One of Shadaloo’s Four Heavenly Kings, who fights using a claw to cut through his opponents. He wears a mask in order to prevent exposure to the filthy blood of losers. He is a narcissist who believes “beauty” is the best, and despises ugly things and sets out to eliminate them. Although he’s an executive of Shadaloo, he has little loyalty to Bison and is always in never-ending conflict amongst the other Four Heavenly Kings." Rainbow Mika "Her real name is Mika Nanakawa. Born in Kansai, she teams up with Yamato Nadeshiko, the expected ace of Iwashigahama Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling as her tag partner to charm and excite the audience about professional wrestling. She has a strong sense of justice and hates those who are twisted, and talks with “ssu” attached to the end. She admires the legendary “Red Cyclone” Zangief and aspires to become a professional wrestler." 1: Translation provided by @sKreetFighteZ 2: Translation provided by Lord Vega
  15. Glad you liked it! 😅 However, I was pretty disappointed about this book myself.... 80% of the stuff published was either in the Vital Box I and II books (like the character 3D models) or was already on the internet....
  16. Hey guys! Here's a small christmas gift for you (specially for @sKreetFighteZ😅)! EDIT: I included the story translations provided by @sKreetFighteZ STREET FIGHTER V CHAMPION EDITION STYLE GUIDE PART 1 Cover Index Height comparison Artwork Ryu "A martial artist who continues his training in search of true strength. He’s truly sincere in manner and personality, and travels the world seeking to fight against stronger opponents than himself. He continues to fight against the “Surge of Murderous Intent”; another entity that has been born within himself and devotes himself daily to control it’s power." Chun-Li "An investigator of the ICPO who fights with magnificent kicking techniques. She became a detective at the age of 18 to search for her father who mysteriously disappeared, however knowing Shadaloo’s involvement with his disappearance, she swore to destroy Shadaloo. She cares for her friends and cares for Cammy, who is worried about the Dolls. She rescues a little girl who was kidnapped by Shadaloo." Nash "A former lieutenant of the United States Air Force (U.S.A.F), and Guile’s best friend, who also belonged to the same United States Air Force. He once lost his life due to being caught in the schemes of Shadaloo’s leader Bison, but was revived by the hands of a mysterious woman named Helen. He realizes his imperfect body covered in patching will soon decay, and the time leftover to him he suddenly changes into a cold-hearted character who pursues nothing but revenge on Bison. More coming soon!
  17. I'll try to dig this information for you. Maybe there's something in Hadoken no Nazo/Mysteries of the Hadoken? I wonder if the "fashion style" section in AASFZ3 have something about those skulls too.
  18. The first time I saw those stats, I thought it was something made up by Pony Canyon, who released a lot of those walkthrough tapes. However, those can be found in a SFV:AE gallery. Sarcastic much? 😅 There was also the theory that those skulls were frm children killed in a terrorist attack. But I'm pretty sure that was some White Wolf bullshit for the SF RPG game. I'm pretty sure that @YagamiFirewas being sarcastic. Remembering the days where the second plot guide was being made under V*****.... There was a lot of "a guy from Capcom, who I won't say his name but he's a trustful source, said X stufff" type of info. Even if it was true, without printed/video/online evidence, it's pretty difficult to confirm the information. BTW, wanna know how Robert died? 😅 Here:
  19. Nope. In Zero 3, Ryu is still after answers about the evil energy building within him, Satsui no Hado. That paragraph in AAC (as far as I know) is the only source mentioning that Ryu was after Vega/Bison in Zero1 and 2 (it's the same story with very few differences). It has always been Vega after Ryu upon hearing he was the one who defeated (and scarred with a regular Shoryuken) Sagat. It is mentioned that Secret Point 48106 seems to be a place in Thailand where several fighters where gathering from time to time. Probably Ryu went there to find more challengers and met Vega (in Ryu's story, Vega brainwashes Ken).
  20. The only publication that mentions this (as far as I'm concerned) is AAC. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that the SFZ "story" also mentions that Ryu was after a fighter who wielded a "mysterious power". That could apply to both Vega/Bison (Psycho Power) or Gouki/Akuma (Satsui no Hado). AASFZ doesn't mention anything about it. It could be a nod to Vega's AASFZ account where he finds Gouken in order to learn about the ansatsuken techniques (something that wasn't mentioned anywhere in-game). So, yeah, I think this plot point was dropped, even though Ryu ends up fighting Vega at the climax of the Zero arc... However, he was never pursuing him, but, instead, he was still after Gouki.
  21. Indeed. Now I wonder what those numbers stand for... AF probably means Air Force? However, Nash and Robert seems to have a different number pattern when compared to Luke and Guile. BTW, Williams as Guile's last name surely is a homage to the SF Movie with Van Damme.🤣
