  1. Interesting that, with Luke, win and lose WQ complements each other more than with other characters (like Akira asking Alex for an autograph with Alex replying that he would only do that if she earns it). There were quite some pretty looking guys around SFV. I wonder why Ibuki never hit on them? A nod to Shadaloo's (and perhaps even Secret Society) corruption in the army. I wonder how much Byron knows about it... or even if he's involved. Just... ditch "it" and go commando, Luke... It seems like went through a "bad kid" phase after Robert died. LOL! I LOVED this one! I really miss this kind of thing in SF. Somewhat flirty, in a kinda sexual way, but not that aggressive. Juri was an example of this in SSFIV and somewhat in Shadow Falls towards Cammy. Something like MK11 but one or two notches down. I wonder if Poison say the same thing in the jap text. I really liked what Capcom US did to Ken's story in Pocket Fighter where he wants to have a "cup of tea" with Morrigan even though he just married Eliza. Bear in mind that "to have a cup of tea" with someone have quite a few meanings... I appreciate that. Take your time man. If you don't mind, I might add the Poison X Luke quote in the list, but only after you do those (I'll provide the quote as soon as I format my PC and reinstalls the game). Again, no hurries. Thank you. 😃 Most of the season 5 characters came out in less time. Unless they were planning to do the Season 5 since mid 2019 as a backup plan in case SFVI got delayed? I do know that Nakayama and the others were working on SFV since, at least, mid 2013.... Now, here's something interesting: Dog tags. From what's written on those, Guile's full name, now, is officially Guile F. Williams and he is a christian. It seems that different costume might bring different info? And here is Luke and Robert Sullivan dog tags (I think @Miðgarðsormmeant this one when he mentioned Luke's religion?): VERY interesting. Pictures credit to Yan.
  2. About Luke's Story Interesting that Nash's dog tags doesn't have his DOB. A pity that Luke's birthyear wasn't revealed.
  3. And in the end, Ryu will finger-flick Vega/Bison's soul from Ed's body, who will end up having a polyamory relationship with Luke and Falke. 😅🤣 I still think Shadow Falls came out too early. It should've been split in 5 chapters, each chapter including the additional characters from that season. Then, after all characters where released, we would have the final battle against Vega, choosing if you wanted to win the game with Vega or Ryu (bad and good ending). That would give Capcom more room to explain more about Nash's resurrection and Necalli's awakening.... (seriously, the guy got killed right at the beginning of season 2).
  4. You're welcome! lol. There's a striking resemblance, but... Joe's personality doesn't match with Luke's dad "a simple, quite and reserved man" description.
  5. With most of the story modes having 2 fights (3 tops), I wouldn't hold my breath to see much. One of his fights might be with Guile. You mean the "dark cloud" behind Luke's dad? That's a tree. It's hard to guess what's his age is here. I would guess 12? He seems to be a little bit younger than young Ed from Shadow Falls. Luke seems to be in his late teens early twenties now. It'll be hard to know for sure. When Juri was released, not only her age was "accidentaly" revaled in an early profile, but it was also indirectly mentioned in her OVA. I thought he's both. Cocky, arrogant, hot-headed who also wants to be stronger to protect people like his dad. Lol! That would be interesting. However, the people fleeing in Luke's story are different from the ones that appear in Q's intros. There's even a teen wearing grey tank top. Ok. I know it's a different place and time but... that would be interesting and a MAJOR nod to Q's attack. Also, there's the possibility that they would never reveal what the incident that took Luke's dad life was. Just like they never revealed the name of Rashid's hacker friend. I was happy to see Byron again. But in Kolin's story, Guile calls him Colonel, not General. If that was the case, why didn't Nakayama simply confirmed it? "The winner is whoever you choose. That trailer showed what happens after the tournament." There, end of story. Instead, he simply ignored it. Just like Capcom has been doing with the 4 promo trailers for the past decade.... Yes, that could be an outcome, but, in the end, some of the endings doesn't require for Vega/Bison to be defeated.,.. so that battle doesn't have to happen at all. People thought that it was Guile because he was the one holding Vega ready to finish him off and Chun-Li because of what Urien say to her in 3rd Strike. Not quite. It's just it's outcome that is still controversial. Nothing really changed for the character's plot. Only a few minor details (like Zangief doesn't dancing with Gorbachev in, Vega mentioning to Cammy that she was his clone and the reasons whty Vega sponsored the tournament was revealed) was changed since Super Street Fighter II X/Turbo came out.
  6. In the same thread that Nakayama revealed all that Neo Shadaloo info, someone asked him this: "Mind me asking? It's a mystery going on for years about what happened in SFII? Who won the tournament? Who defeated Vega/Bison? Gouki fought Vega/Bison? Thank you very much!" And his (evasive) answer was: "It wasn't declared who won the tournament. You may say that it was the character used by the player who won it. Sorry for the irresponsible feeling, but in 'USF2' I wasn't involved. I just supervised the Shadaloo soldiers minigames." (@Miðgarðsormfeel free to correct any translation mistakes.) Which led me to: Seriously Nakayama? As far as we are concerned, you are the one actually responsible for the SF story nowadays. Not even Ono is involved anymore, so you simply can't say if Vega/M. Bison committed suicide or not at the end of SF2? A simple confirmation with something along the line like "that movie is what happened after the tournament." would do. The "the winner is whoever you choose" answer was already given by Ono (or was it Ayano?) and it's a fair answer given how SF4 prologue was laid out. However, if Vega committed suicide after SF2 was still canon, It should be something like Ryu scarring Sagat's chest with a (regular) Shoryuken, Vega being responsible for Nash's death and such. If the Secret Society can mass produce bodies like Shadaloo, Gill could return in a new body or the body inside the Babel Tower could be a replacement one (although it looked like he was recovering there). Maybe yes. Maybe not. Gill becoming the Emperor could be before the SF3 tournament. Remember that in Gill's SF5 story, it's his first time "exposing himself" to the world. So that's before the tournament and, probably, before beating Tom in the streets. I don't really remember, were the sF3 fighters invited to the tournament like some of the SF2 ones (Fei Long's SSF2 account mentions that he received an invitation)?
  7. I hope so. All @bakfromonand @Miðgarðsormtranslations of the CFN character profiles are simply gone....the Warrior's Fate thread have missing posts. It simply skips a few months with a "X months later" message.... Does anyone have those translated profiles saved/archived? I lost some of my files due to a HDD crash. Those translations (and all CFN profiles artwork) are among the files lost. I know we have a english version of the profiles. But, as usual, there's always things that were either changed or omitted from the jap version. Thanks in advance.
  8. SFV had Gouki SGS with Vega's body destroyed (specifically in this ending) on the SFII path. The same goes for the USFII. Capcom's official April 1st joke also shows the SGS scene (even though that's not canon). With the Beyond the World timeline specifically stating the Psycho Drive being destroyed in SFZ3... it pretty much invalidates Vega's suicidal explosion in the Psycho Drive base. Also, this was never mentioned anywhere else. So... yeah, I go for the SGS scene. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom decides that both events happened... Had they used THIS base for the suicide explosion (they used it on Abel's vanilla SFIV prologue),.... But that's the official story since SFZ1 and 2 retconned it.
  9. He got braces on his teeth. Cool! Well, maybe "that man" he mentions during his intro... could it be Joe?
  10. Yeah. I thought about that. Specially that, in Joe's CRI profile, mentions that he likes star-shaped objects. And Luke got stars tattooed on his shoulder and forearms.
  11. @N-TactixReposting the timeline with the translation. I'll try to get the Ed jap text from his storymode and vital box II profile.
  12. . The other translation that I posted a few months ago said that "Abel was born as an artificial/sinthetic man". Android might have been a mistranslation from Google part? Abel is just another of Shadaloo's artificially grown humans. He was created from scratch in a lab through artificial means (probably by in vitro fertilization using a mix of Vega's DNA with other enhanced breeds), maybe he even developed inside an artificial womb instead of using a surrogate mother. His growth process was accelerated by Shadaloo's tech and he quickly came to the age that we know him. Actually, 5 years before that. When all the 26 bodies reached such development/aging stage, Shadaloo started their cybernization process. At least that's what we can get from Seth's dialogue to Abel, that he was the "imperfect one that fled". Does anyone have the SFxTK artbook? Does it have any commentary about Abel being like Seth under his skin? Nope. Cammy (and Decapre) is an artificially created woman just like Abel, but with DNA identical (less the appearance) of Vega and without the aging acceleration process. Falke is like Abel, but with the aging acceleration process. Ed's situation is more like the Dolls. It's implied, in the japanese text of his story mode, his April Fools side story for Hado Stone and in Vital Box II, that he was kidnapped at a very young age and experienced on with Vega's DNA and Psycho Power. Now, I do wonder, why does Shadaloo calls the surveillance Monitor Cyborgs cyborgs, could it be that they were human before being turned into a machine? Aren't they androids? They seem to be made of machinery only.
  13. . I think... There was a small confusion here. LOL. Well, Gill's stats (Height, Weight) are all unknown. While G's are 6'7" and 330lbs. Which brings us to.... That's because this was never said about Gill's parents, but "Urien's". It was on Capcom's SF3:2nd Impact japanese site: "家 族 ギルと共に組織の総統候補として教育を受けた者のうちの一人。 " Translation using Google translator (might not be 100% accurate): "Family One of those educated with Gill as a candidate for president of the organization. The parents of the candidates are all clear-minded, physically healthy and excellent people. Urien's parents both have PhDs, and his mother, in particular, is active in the field of sports mechanics and is an Olympic athlete herself. However, the children selected as good candidates are separated from their parents at the age of six, and the organization slams them into royal studies. Therefore, the people they can feel most familiar with are several candidates for president who have studied imperial studies together. Personality It can be said that the character of having received imperial studies from an early age as a leader of humankind is exactly the quality of the emperor. However, the fact that he was given the position of only one president to Gill is nothing more than a humiliation for him who was educated to become president. It won't be long before he realizes the dark and writhing emotions that grow deeper in his heart every day and agonizes himself in conflict. Fighting style With the ideal balance, power, and speed as a warrior in the human body, the martial arts that he has acquired are the culmination of secrets that can only be passed on to the organization, thousands of years of history, and candidates for president. It is said that it is impossible to acquire all of the martial arts, but Gill advanced to the final stage of the mystery and acquired one of the 66 mysteries, Resurrection. Among Urien's techniques, Aegis Reflector is one of the mysteries." If this translation is accurate, it's interesting to note that, the bolded parts specifically regards Urien's parents, specially his mother. There's nothing mentioning about them also being Gill's parents. Also, the part "the people they can feel most familiar with are several candidates for president who have studied imperial studies together" clearly implies that the candidates see themselves as part of a family... as brothers. Now, since this text probably was released BEFORE the game, they could have decided to let the matter about them being (blood?) brothers something that the players would discover when finishing the game with Urien. I know that @Hawkingbirdposted the UDON translation of Q's profile but here's another picture of it. I also included the japanese version if anyone is interested in comparing the texts. Pretty much what alreadywas said here. Most of the Zero arc happens during the year of 1988. Zero 1 and Zero 2 have the same story with Z2 being how things happened. However how Vega/Bison recruits Sagat for Shadaloo and how Ken met Eliza after a fight is how Zero 1 depicts it. Zero 3 is a straight sequel for most part of the characters story, like Dan having "defeated" Sagat, Adon pursuing the fighter (Gouki) whom defeated Adon's rival in his Z2 ending, etc. However, everyone meeting Vega at "Point 48106" (Thailand) didn't happen. Capcom changed some things like when Nash dies. It's now after Z3 after saving Abel from a burning base. It's possible that Dhalsim's All About SFZ3 account is placed now before/during Z2, since Sally is still pregnant of Datta. Sagat's AASFZ3 account also might have changed it's place. Sagat gone missing for a year (after his defeat at Ryu's hands) during the Zero 3 time, and he refusing Vega's personally asking for him to come back to Shadaloo before SF4 (Sagat left Shadaloo during SF2). . Interesting, those are Google translator translations. I had this translated by a friend and @Miðgarðsormtranslated it a while after and we almost got the same outcome: '"15: The World Fighting Championship is organized by Shadaloo - which now acts in the shadows (in secret). Vega is after Ryu’s body, who defeated Sagat." @Miðgarðsormwould you mind re-checking this part of the translation? Which one is correct/more accurate? Vega being after Ryu's body for him having beaten Sagat or that Ryu defeated both Vega and Sagat? Thanks in advance. And, @BootyWarrior, how did you manage to extract the japanese text from the picture? Actually, it could also be interpreted that Ryu defeated both Vega and Sagat, making Ryu the SF2 winner. But... I don't think Capcom would satisfy our curiosity THAT easily.... And.... As a side note, The Beyond the World Book was released in French language (while UDON's english one was postponed to august), interesting to note the mistranslation for that very same sentence: It says: "Le 2° tournoi mondial d'arts martiaux a lieu. Il est en réalité organisé par M. Bison, dans le but de s'emparer du corps de Ryu, I'homme qui a vaincu Sagat lors du premier tournoi." And the translation: "The 2nd World Martial Arts Tournament is taking place. It is actually organized by M. Bison, with the aim of seizing the body of Ryu, the man who defeated Sagat in the first tournament." I wonder if the first and second tournament was something Capcom of America requested them to add? .
  14. . Some of the SFV ladder and some of the SFI can be what ifs. The others are representations or retcons of preexisting endings (like SFZ Guile and SF2 Sagat). Some even are expanded versions of the endings, like SF4 Vega where we know that he has "defeated" Juri. Also, Nakayama mentions in an interview that the intention was "to recreate past content that left a strong impression with our fans", and, from what we could see in AE, the recreation of those endings was part of this strong impression. Guess Vega committing suicide wasn't.... You know what's the problem with the suicidal trailer? SF5 confirms that Nash's SFZ2 death is the canon one at least 4 times: - A trailer; -Nash's story mode; -Vega's story mode; -A Shadow Falls -Nash's SFZ ladder ending. Besides the trailer itself, how many times over the past 12 years (JEEEEZUS!) "Vega committed suicide with a explosion" was mentioned in SF4? Or even after that? Answer: NONE! And they had quite a few chances to do so, like in the SF4/SSF4 artwork book, SSF4, SSF4AE, USF4, SF5, the Shadaloo C.R.I. profiles, SF5 AE, USF2, Street Fighter 30th Anniversay Collection, SF5CE, How to Design Capcom Fighting Characters, Street Fighter Beyond the World, Street Fighter - Those Stronger Than Me (the artbook sold at the SF exhibition), and I didn't even counted the compilations like Artworks Ha and Artworks Kiwami. How many times Capcom showed (or referred to) us Gouki defeating/killing Vega after the explosion trailer was released? -USF2 (the latest installment of SF2. they could have just removed the SGS scene if they didn't want it there. but... guess what, Capcom even REVAMPED it from HD Remix with Vega throwing the cape before being SGS. Just like they did wth the Hyper SF2 Anniversary Edition); -SF5AE (Gouki's SF2 path ending is the only one that shows Vega mortally wounded); -SF 30th Anniversary Collection (although I don't count those profiles as canon because of inconsistencies, it does mention Vega losing to Gouki. Capcom of Japan even reprinted the All About Street Fighter book in their collector's edition with the real SF japanese story); -The 2019 April Fools joke with G. It shows Gouki SGS Vega. Honorable mention: Daigo Ikeno mentions that Vega's alterate, torn, costume in SF4 was designed after his fight with Gouki. Who knows if Ikeno knew about the suicidal trailer. Can Capcom change their mind and say that Vega commited suicide, with or without fighting Gouki? Yes they can! It's their franchise. But that's not the message they are sending at the moment. And... to be honest, I highly doubt they will touch with that part of the story again.... Er... wrong again. Did you forget this timeline released in 2018 from SF Beyond the World book (it also touches on the Shoryuken discussion you guys were also having)? Here you clearly can see that SFZ3 and SF2 are separate events that happens at separate times: 1: Chronology of events during the Street Fighter series 2: The events occurring during the Street Fighter series are connected, and constitute a very long story. Here we have loosely sorted these events, separated by game. Moreover, you should pay attention to the events occurring in character endings that contradict the general story. Furthermore, as the story of Street Fighter EX takes place in a parallel setting, we’ve left it out¹. 3: Time of the works 4: Works 5: General events 6: 1987 1991 7: Date uncertain 8: Ryu and Ken, seeking to become the “strongest fighter”, depart to battle street fighters. 9: Ryu beats Sagat with a Shoryuken. Sagat vows revenge. 10: Vega travels the world, searching for strong fighters. 11: The “Psycho Drive”, a weapon that would supply Vega’s body with unlimited Psycho Power, becomes operational. 12: The Psycho Drive is destroyed by the fists (it could also be interpreted as efforts) of various/several fighters, and Shadaloo is officially declared destroyed. 13: Vega starts the “Living Incubator” project, that would develop new substitute bodies for him. 14: Abel is born as an artificial man, and is rescued by Nash. Nash subsequently disappears. 15: The World Fighting Championship is organized by Shadaloo - which now acts in the shadows (in secret). Vega is after Ryu’s body, who defeated Sagat. 16: S.I.N’s CEO Seth rebels against Shadaloo. 17: S.I.N is destroyed. 18: Bison rescues the young Ed from S.I.N’s ruins. 19: Sagat estranges himself from Shadaloo. F.A.N.G takes Sagat’s former place among the Four Kings. 20: Shadaloo launches the “Black Moons Project”. NY’s zone is struck by a violent electromagnetic wave and plunges into chaos. 21: The Kanzuki house calls fighters from all over the world to help. 22: Through the fighters's fist, they crush the “Black Moons Project”. Shadaloo is destroyed again. 23: Chun Li becomes the guardian of the young hacker Li Fen. 24: Ed leaves Balrog and forms his own independent organisation. 25: Tom, Alex’s guardian, is attacked by a mysterious blonde fighter. 26: Li Fen, the girl Chun Li took into care, is abducted by a mysterious organisation. 27: Alex begins his trip to avenge Tom. 28: Hugo and Poison found the new pro-wrestling group Huge Wrestling Army 29: Alex departs once again to test himself. ¹ So… EX’s characters are canon (otherwise they wouldn’t have mentioned Darun’s role in ASF), but their games’ story isn’t. Thanks to @Miðgarðsormfor the translation (back in 2018). No, you're not. That was the 3rd promo trailer for the SF4 released on late february of 2009. I dunno if Sagat's role is still valid for Zero 3, since he's still with Shadaloo in SF2, leaving the organization during/after the tournament. That backstory (with Vega asking him to go back to Shadaloo) would fit better for SF4.
  15. . If you're referring to the translation in the plot guide, that's from All About Capcom page 345 and that's everything about him there. Richard Burgman is also mentioned on the SF3-3rd Strike Online site back in 2011 on Q's character description (translation using Google translator): ■Q -謎の存在- 「決して認めたくはないが、我々の組織力をもってしても、彼の存在を正式に肯定することは現時点では難しいという結末を得た。」 CIA広報官 リチャード・バーグマン談 Q-Existence of a mystery- "I don't want to admit it, but even with our organizational strength, it's difficult to formally affirm his existence at this point." Interview with CIA spokesman Richard Bergmann Source: https://web.archive.org/web/20110902224432/http://www.capcom.co.jp/sf3_3rd/character.html I tried to track the original 3rd Strike from 1999, but it seems that there's only a move list. No character story/description. Tomorrow I can get a picture of Eternal Challenge (UDON's translation) of Q's section. I don't remember if there's anything interesting there.... I wonder if there's anything about Richard on the 3rd Strike Secret File? Even if that was true, they retconned back to Gouki killing Vega in SF5. Just like they did with Nash's Z2 death being the canon one instead of the Z3 one.... Yes. But there's nothing contradicting that they share the same soul. That was straightforward mentioned in Rose's Z3 ending and in Rose's SF5 gameplay intro video. They don't need to repeat it in every game/book/guide. If they wanted to retcon this information, then they would simply tell/show it. Which they didn't.... SF2 and SFZ3 are separate events. Capcom always stated as such. The Zero arc (Zero 2 and 3) happened within the time span of a few months back in 1988. Capcom already decided that SF2 happens in 1991, that itself also messes with Cammy's age. She's said to be 19 in SF2 and 16 in Z3. However, her birthyear is stated as 1974. The math dont match. That's why everyone though SF2 was set in 1993 (even All About Capcom). So either Cammy is still 19 in SF2 and 16 in Zero 3 but her birthyear is now 1971 (which I think is the case), or she was still born in 1974 and is 17 in SF2 and (gasp!) 14 in Zero 3.
  16. . Three bodies: Zero - destroyed at the time when the Psycho Drive was destroyed in Z3; SF2 - destroyed by Gouki (as shown in the SF5 SF2 ladder;) SF5 - destroyed by Ryu's Mu No Ken. You still try to sneak a merge between the events of SFZ3 and SF2 even though Capcom NEVER gave us a slight hint that it happened.... And it never will. Not only that, Capcom already gave enough proof that SFZ3 and SF2 are 2 diferent events separated by 3 years. Er, nope. Cammy was already serving Vega during the events of SFZ2. In fact she, and possibly Decapre, were around for 16 years or so before Z2 and Z3.... that's why she's the only of the clones that was given an age/year of birth so far. During, or possibly right after SFZ3, the "Living Incubator" program started (5 years prior SF4), giving birth to Falke, the 28 Abels (Abel himself and the 27 Seths), and, possibly Doll Unit 0 (AKA She-Seth) . It's possible that Ed was kidnapped at a very young age and experienced on at that time as well (Vega's soul was inside/controlling Rose at the time). 0:35 "... and she shares a soul with the villanous M. BIson." I wonder if there's a japanese version of this video as well. If the jap video mentions the same thing... Case closed. That might be the case, however, that's not what was presented in her Story. I wonder if we'll see more of her in the next 3 story modes?
  17. Don't know of the other guys, but for me the 2 links you provided lead to a broken image page. Awesome article. I wonder how far they went to put those characters in their "personal" build. Was it only a copy/paste work?
  18. That's awesome @ShockDingo! Thanks! There's also the Vol 185 for the 3rd Strike as well. Nope, the actual version of the plot guide available online, concerning the 3rd Strike characters, have mostly translations of the All About Capcom/Street Fighter book and the Shadaloo CRI profiles. Thanks for the Q translation. I remember discussing this with someone back in the old thread. Was it you? Sorry. Thanks for the input. I'm not totally sure, but it seems that the revision on some of those games, actually correct some bugs on the WQ of the chatacter. If I'm not mistaken, the international version of MVC1 actually has 10 WQ. I don't think there's a way to ipload the images to the board like back in SRK. Only to link them. I'm also learnig how to use the reply funcion, it seems you ahve to check "Follow Topic" if you want to change the page. I didn't and lost everything. Ouch! Yes. That was really interesting. Also her Nostalgia costume came from Dimitri's Midnight Bliss from Capcom Fighting Evolution.
  19. Glad to be here too! Yeah, @Miðgarðsormmentioned that there was a phony Lord Vega causing trouble. Thank God it seems he got banned. Rose could be in her mid to late 40's in SFV. Looks can be deceiving... Take a look at Chuando on the left. Would you say he's over 50? EXACTLY what I thought. Thanks @Miðgarðsorm!!!! He didn't do that in Menat's story either. I want a Alcina Dimitrescu skin for Rose! And I know I'm not the only one.... 😜 Actually, that could and couldn't be the case.... Rose, back in the Zero 1 account mentions about an increasing power that could lead to a worldwide catastrophe, she recognizes it as Soul Power as well, but from a different kind... In Vega's Zero 1 ending, he mentions that they have the same power, and that, after Rose's death, he became the only one able to pass Psycho (and Soul?) Power along. What Rose could have seen in her visions at the time, was the catastrophe that Psycho Power could do through the Psycho Drive weapon. Once that menace was neutralised (with the destruction of the Psycho Drive and Vega's body), her visions could foresee the next catastrophe. She warns Ryu about being the world's only hope in SFIV and even foresees his battle against Vega. What she was looking at, was the Black Moons plan, where Psycho Power would reach it's highest peak, even higher than in Zero 3, but she also saw that Ryu would fight Vega. That's why she tried to stop him from facing Seth and possibly losing his life in the process. Seth was meant te be dealt with by Vega and Juri. Not Ryu. Now, both Rose and G saw the end of the world by another mean... I don't think G is the one causing it, but Gill with his Utopia and who knows by which means he might use to reach it. However, if G's space station becomes canon.... that could be the "gigantic glacier falling into the ocean." Or it could be the Black Moons... Or Both. The good side of his sould being removed to create Rose was never mentioned by Capcom. It was all from the fanbase, even Vasili that went with that theory. The only thing that Capcom mentioned was that they share/have the same soul. Period. Although it's nice to see both halves's particularities: Vega can soul jump to other bodies, while... Rose's can make her consciouness time travel? Yeah, right! There's no way for Capcom to dismiss this unless outright saying so. Just like they did in Zero 3... What Capcom could do is having Rose say: "You made me think that we shared the same soul..." or something like that. And Vega outright tells Rose: The translation for that sentence in japanese is: "Although/despite different lives … the soul …" He does't say "From now on, our different lives will share the same soul." There's also the sentence of them "returning just like our wish/desire". That sentence alone would imply they being physically together again... however, next he mentions about two lives having the same soul... so. Glad you liked it. Although that translation isn't mine. A friend did it for me as a favor. She was the same who translated the "same soul" part above. Yep! Vega have one with Spider-Man! BTW do you know where I can find the jp winning quotes for MSHVSSF and Marvel VS Capcom? A site? A book/mook? I really would like to know how many WQ each character has and, if possible, how to obtain them.
  20. Thanks for the warm welcome @ShockDingo! I actually waited for Rose to be released to join MegaShock. LOL. It's good to reunite with you guys again. @Darc_Requiemand @Miðgarðsormdirected me here. Interesting? Maybe. Clever... I think not. Capcom is well known for raising our hype up and then disapponting at the time of delivery. Necalli was a big example. He was portrayed as a main antagonist, a force to be reckoned with. That would devour-our-our the biggest warriors on the planet. He got his butt kicked by everyone and their cousin. Didn't go past season 2 where he possibly got killed by Gouki who exploded him like a baloon from the inside. They never explained what awakened him, we assumed it was the 7 black moons in the sky, and that MAYBE Vega was using him to destroy the strongest fighters on the planet. In the end, all he did was "complete" Ryu's training by helping him control the SNH. An energy that, BTW attracted him to Ryu and Gouki. Vega's grey/white hair was never explained. Accorrding to SF4, the body he's using was meant to be temporary until he could find Ryu's;. His scientists, however, mentions that the next body would be able to sustain ALL his Psycho Power. That wasn't mentioned again. Could that be Ed? Or a lost Vega-like body? Also, since Ryu learned how to supress the SNH, did Vega lose interest in possessing him? How did Cody went from a convict to Metro City mayor? The only way i can imagine was that he was Haggar's vice. But that was never mentioned anywhere. The way Rose mentioned it, that could go back to even before their soul was divided. I always believed that the only way to stop Vega was to trap his soul inside a body that could contain it... inside Rose's body but with her portion of the soul in control. In control of both Soul and Psycho Power. But that might go back to their training days.... which also would be interesting. They did a shitty job at it. They did a story with the SIN, then, with the returning characers from Zero, they simply told their stories again trying to fit SFIV. 2008 was the year for a reboot with the series making it's comeback. Not only that. They even could have Maggio and Aprile appearing. Watchin Rose and Menat's training. With Aprile grateful for Rose taking care of them by allowing them to stay. Her SFA ending is simply her SFZ2 ending. Meaning that what happened with her, and the info given in Z3 is still valid... unless they plan to change it in the future. Her SF4 ending is what it is. Vega took back the residual memories from when he possessed her and the "with interest" part was what she did learn in the tournament, possibly with her fight with Ryu. She wasn't in a coma at the end of Guy's SSFIV ending... I second that. But done by Capcom of Japan themselves, not a third party like they did with the 30th Anniversay profiles.
  21. That's Vega's winning quote to Rose in the jap version of SFZ3. However there, he specifically mentions that she's pale. I see, well, not surprising. Characters that appeared in Z2 usually had that ending portrayed instead of the Z3 one. Thanks! Sooooooo.... they still are master/student that share the same soul... @mykkaThey could do both. Not the whole thing would be rebooted, just a few events
  22. Hey guys, it's been a while.😜 Hope everyone is ok with all this COVID thing STILL going on. It was interesting, but also frustrating, specially knowing how Capcom handle the SF story.... Did you manage to see her Alpha ladder ending? Sorry but... that could also mean that they could be done with this 30 years story arc and that was it. Just start over... from SF Zero. I really hope thay don't pull a Raiden from MK9 by sending Rose's consciousness back to SFZ/Z2 time so that she can fix everything. That could be even BEFORE that. From what she mentioned, it was Vega/Bison's misuse of Psycho Power that started it all.... However, she's also a user of the same power, and she and Vega are soul linked (if they didn't change that in her SFA ladder ending). I wonder if she ever misused it as well? Even if by a brief moment? She also mentions she destroyed Shadaloo and Vega, probably a mistranslation @Miðgarðsorm? The glacier falling in the ocean probably has something to do with Gill. The destruction done by Shadaloo was what Gill used to proclaim himself the savior of the world towards the Secret Society. Probably he will try something else that could go terribly wrong... bringing doom to the world. A pity Capcom might not explore the full potential of this....
