The ads and the complex media bar were like one of the worst things ever. Full screen ads taking up the whole screen and even if you minimized them they would instead literally be invisible. So you couldn't even click any links properly.

I'm a filthy 09'er, so I can only vaguely remember how SRK once was before the post-SF4 overhaul. But I remember enough that it was just constantly downgrade after downgrade after downgrade. The site lost all of it's personality a long time ago.

This site looks far and away nicer than SRK currently does. Shit, I haven't been logged in here since around the time the site was created. Back when SRK was announced to shut down in 2018. In all honesty, migrating to this site just feels like a natural move for anyone that still uses SRK. The people that own and run SRK obviously don't care about it. I've lost count of how many times over the years that the community has been given false promises as far as improving the site. Many people have always been vocal about what would make the place better and it has always fallen on deaf ears. Even after agreeing to keep the forums going and making changes, the Cannons never followed through. I'll probably continue lurking SRK with the occasional posts every now and then as always. But as far as Mega Shock is concerned, I say bring on the blackjack and hookers!!
