Once upon a time utilities were stable stocks that you would just hold and collect the dividends from. Then Enron happened. Not sure where things stand these days. (If by "Vanguard" you mean an index fund, that's about as good as it gets.)

S&P 500 is up 38% from its bottom when lockdowns started. You don't really need some hot tip to be making gains there. People getting into day trading and seeing nothing but dollar signs now are going to be jumping out windows if there's a downturn though.

What can happen is that a specific person dies from COVID. What will happen is that people will die from COVID. And the more the latter happens, the more likely the former is. Some decisions are harder than others, true, but plenty of people in this country are aggressively opposed to logic (i.e. science) and refuse to take even simple measures, so maybe try an emotional appeal?

I don't think people are supposed to eat this stuff. More broadly, I think there are a lot of "traditional" foods that are traditional because it's what the common people ate, and the common people ate them because they couldn't afford anything else.

Reminds me a little of the old series Monster Garage. It went off the rails after a few seasons, but in the beginning they built some cool stuff.

I remember when I was making my XBox Live avatar back in the day I got most of the way through and was like "this looks too much like me," so I slapped on a giant mustache and a top hat.

Those aren't strict rock/paper/scissors though as the options are not equal (gain meter, take meter, or gain height in MvC3; more or less damage in KI). That creates a level of yomi, and that's kind of the game. What I don't like is when you basically get one chance or you die, which is a big problem with TAC infinites in MvC3. I don't keep up with KI, but I think they largely got rid of combos with only one or two opportunities to break, which is a direction I endorse.

Not so good. They call it a "third wave" but the first two never really ended. The good news is that deaths have come down and are not nearly as bad as the first wave. But if cases keep spiking and hospitals get overwhelmed again that could take a turn for the worse too.
