Hey guys, just wanted to share my thoughts. Enjoying SF6 from day one. Basically we have two games in one – plain SF and Final Fight (aka World Tour Mode). Love the depth characterization coming out of the WTM, plain arcade was too little by itself. Indeed it seems that CAC is a Seth, and Lily’s spirit is Dictator in some form.

I remember as many years ago SF4 came out and it’s every version added new characters. I was hoping it to include all of them from SFAlpha and SF1. The same with SFV. Now I accept that every game is unique, but I want my favorite one get an update. SFII got one with (stupid) Evil Ken and Ryu, SFIII 3rd Strike have later got online play, SF4 got an amazing omega version. But there is no final version of SFAlpha3. The best one came on PSP and I’m enjoying it trough emulation on a big screen with a MadCatz controller, but it should be made available on the newer systems too, Jun and Ingrid removed and Geki, Lee, Joe and Retsu added. Thus it would become a definitive version to SF1, too. Shouldn’t be that hard or expensive for Capcom. I wonder why they don’t do it?

Many lore topics are being discussed in this thread, which I’m following passively, and talks are abound about doing a new version of SF plot guide. But I wonder why don’t just use this wiki and make it more accessible to the masses? Wikipedia works, too.

Maybe start with updating this timeline under “Mischelaneous”?

Is there a gallery of all the square pictures somewhere or a screenshot of the in-game gallery with all pictures unlocked? I care only about SF lore, thus would like to concentrate my efforts only on that art pieces. 🙏

Hi. I've played through the World Tour Mode, maxed out all bonds to get the second costumes through presents, got all 4 full screen art pieces per master. But there are 2 small square art pieces per master, some of them I've got, some not. The requirement states to have a "special conversation" with each master. Now

I'm leveling up the characters, which is a pretty boring task. Still missing the following square art:

Luke's 2nd

Kimberly's 2nd

Marisa's 2nd

JP's 1st and 2nd

Blanka's 2nd

Ken's 2nd

Zangief's 2nd

Dhalsim's 1st

Please post pictures of them so I can see if it's worth my time.

What XP-level must I achieve for each character in order to get those pictures? I have Ken at 15 already, but still not there...

Jokes aside, something I'd like to see from SFVI is bringing back those Street Fighter characters that haven't transitioned yet onto modern Street Fighter games, and there should be only a handful of them left at this point. We kinda got Q to return in V in some way, since G is basically a redesign of Q and his story is implied to be closely connected as well, even if we don't know how exactly yet. So it's only 7 or 8 characters in total depending on how you consider Q, and a few of them have a fanbase too that's not insignificant. That's few enough that you can gradually mix them with other legacy characters and newcomers to sweeten the deal.

 

I guess there are also Juni and Juli in there, but good luck selling extra Cammy functions and I think Decapre in IV does a better job at filling their role as Cammy clone that plays different from her.

Please add Lee, Retsu, Geki and Joe (and Eagle) from SF1.

I mean, sure, it's kinda like Bedman from Guilty Gear but without the bed and with his sister actually dead, but who are we to judge when one of our OGs is a Brazilian kid who fell in the Amazons and turned green and electric.

Alright, that's it, this character is trash.

I can sympathize with freezing your relatives' corpses underneath the ocean, I can understand resorting to casual violence as an alternative to mental health treatment, I can even tolerate the edgelord "Gen X" stuff, and even the Frenchness, but snitching to the police is where I draw the line. This is too much!

Immagine that this is Ed's and Falke's future. Makes sense, doesn't it?

It's true that in japanese society tattos are often associated with yakuza, but as foreigner Vega would unliked be seen as one, specially considering himself would not try to pass as one or frequent them respecting their habits

Jap people in real life would still not like see him have a tattoo as it have negative connotations, though SF world seems bit free of that as you have also some good guys having tattoos (Guile and Luke first that come to mind), still not much common compared to real life fighters world though

 

The snake tattoo magically becoming alive i think may be a tribute to a female assassin (Benisato) from Ninja Scroll

But i guess it's not canon feat, since we never seen do it (or anything else remotely similar) in any actual SF game

 

Btw fun fact that surprised me A LOT actually@Miðgarðsorm(iirc, not 100% sure) once posted info about the fact canon wise in the past Geki fucked up Vega pretty badly in a fight

I ever thought if they ever fought Vega would have gone through Geki by knowing ninjutsu too, being a fucking ShadalooKing, pure talent, athleticism/size, matador skills and being a total psycho... yet as far we know their only interaction i'm aware of end up with Vega getting beated up

 

Now, may have been a young Vega that during his stay in Japan (i guess that was the place where they fought) still did'nt completed his training/reached his prime or just lacked experience against high level opponents... but canon wise all we know is they fought and Vega lost

My impression is that Vega would not make his beautiful body ugly with a huge tattoo - but an elegant snake is very well in character.

But you may be right after all - there is nowhere a mention of him beeing a yakuza. Let's just agree that he is our favourite jakuzza 😉

Allow me to disagree! Vega/Claw is a yakuza with his snake tattoo, a ninja claw and ninjitsu. He may have been a pupil of Geki, killing him after finishing education and taking his claw. Udon has him even leading a Geki ninja clan! And in Capcom vs SNK 2 his yakuza snake tattoo magicaly comes alive in one of his endings. I'd love to see more of that in SF6.

It was a license art, from what I have found out from other sites it wasn't done by capcom artist.

 

I have also two huge 90s SF puzzle in frames that was also license SF and drawn by their internal artist not from capcom.

Off topic: has someone ever bought Camcom exchange stocks? What was your experience with that? Did they rose when a new game went on sale, new downloadable characters were released?

I've contacted Kiki. He answered that due to him not working for Capcom anymore, it won't be possible to update and publish the rotunda drawing...

Any other ideas whom to ask?

Is one of you good enough with Photoshop to extract it out of the video, clean it up and save as a picture file?
