  1. I don't think you understood The Matrix very well... Because the surface still matters. I kinda don't care that there's a behind-the-scenes reason for why the two characters are aesthetically, like, 75% the same. "It's supposed to be like an umbrella!" Who gives a shit! You still ended up at the same place! Design something new!
  2. Although, technically, AKI didn't choose the knife. She chose the writing on the side of the knife. Which was a formula for poison.
  3. Dude, you're either blind or being intentionally contrarian if this doesn't qualify as contortionist shit to you... What the fuck difference does it make? It doesn't matter WHY they're making the same gestures, they're still making the same gestures! AKI's presentation is derivative as shit. FFS, they even use the same "hair covering one eye" visual signifier. Although, I wonder if she's not intentionally trying to bury that part of her past. The first shot of the new trailer shows her moving through the crowd, rotating her body in just a way as to completely avoid coming into contact with anyone. Now, it's possible that might just be because she's entirely poisonous, like FANG. Or maybe she just, doesn't like touching people, unless it's to kill them.

  5. They REALLY aren't. They're both sadistic, cackling, predatory. They're both the exact same kind of girl Joker. They even have similar mannerisms like lip licking and unnecessary body contortions, like the deep backbend. The cutscenes they've shown are obviously from WTM. And they take place in the China stage, which has been in the game since launch, but didn't appear in WTM.
  6. I still wouldn't have liked it though for replacing everyone's classic themes with worse ones. The Road IS actually good though. I wish it had been one of the new character's themes so it would have been carried forward.
  7. Do you consider Jamie's drinking an install? Or not, because it doesn't wear off? I actually only found out she even had that recently. Never knew she had a Balrog Turn Punch mechanic... Yeah, I don't approve of SF6's CHOICE of art style. But they executed the style they chose incredibly well. And it looks FAR better than SF4 or SF5.
  8. I'm talking about lower level basic stuff, not pro-player stuff. I have an active dislike for how in 5, and now 6, everyone has to have installs or stock management or pre-move setups. Nobody just...has moves that just work anymore. You either have to windclad/denjin charge before you do your moves so they don't suck, have to do shit like store up a kick, or set down a tornado and do your moves THROUGH it, or you have to make sure you didn't run out of dolls or paint cans or lose certain moves entirely. And every character has to have a DIFFERENT one of these new gimmicks. It makes learning a new character feel like learning an entirely new game, and it's exhausting. And none of these make the character better. They just make the character worse if you DON'T do them. Remember in SF4 when Juri just had normal projectiles, and didn't have to load her fucking foot first each time? Or how Ibuki could just...throw kunai without worrying about running out? Better times... Alpha 3 is fantastic except for it's dogshit soundtrack.
  9. Still the best SF. Best roster. Best soundtrack. And they hadn't overcomplicated the mechanics yet. Only wack part is the art style. Which I try not to hold against it because it was the first modern SF.
  10. I said Cody because Alpha 3 Cody started out development as Joe. Cody ended up taking his slot(and also, I assume, the awful prisoner gimmick), so I figure it's only fair for Joe to take his moveset.

  12. Correct. Both of which are already in WTM. Or at least, throwing knives are and can easily be swapped.
  13. Nobody who's already been playable should be relegated to being an NPC anyway. There's only 4 SF1 characters that haven't been playable yet. If they become NPCs in WTM, then: Retsu - already in WTM Geki - Should use Vega's moveset and unique Specials after Vega is added Lee - Should use Jamie's moveset Joe - Should use Cody's moveset after Cody is added
  14. Make sure to give him a Walker: Texas Ranger cowboy hat. Capcom gives every US character a cowboy alt these days. They obviously want a cowboy fighter. I want a retcon that Geki was just Zeku using his young man disguise. He's their uncle. That would be amazing! But I don't see it happening. They added a couple new characters to SF2 a few years ago, but it was just palette swaps of Ryu and Ken. I don't see Capcom going to the effort of adding all new sprites to Alpha 3 at this point.
  15. None. Yes please. We're very close to completing the set. SF2: Everyone's been done. SFA: Only missing Sodom, Eagle and Maki. SF3: Only missing Necro, Sean, Remy, Q and Twelve. And all those guys suck anyway.
  16. This has 30 seconds of Guile's Theme in it. Which automatically makes it better than every song in SF6.
