  1. All the kayfabe wrestling nods Zangief had in the trailer seems unprecedented for him. So I'm gonna nickname him... HAMGIEF. I'll see myself out now.
  2. Mentioned this in the main thread, but Cammy had a version of the SF2TAM move in SFxTK. The neck breaker is there, but it ends with just a weak sauce kick in the back 😕
  3. She had a version of it in SFxTK. The neck breaker is there, but it ends with just a weak sauce kick in the back 😕
  4. Welp we got ourselves a release date for Street Fighter: Gacha Money EDIT: Yup I didn't watch all of Capcom Cup and somehow missed like 2 pages of the thread.... Arggg
  5. What likely won't be fun is going against the bosses that'll have absolutely nothing to do with SF and hearing the 3DO version of Ken's theme 2458749 times in game...
  6. Hey y'all! Anyone watch the SF 35th Anniversary Concert? If you did, how was it to you? Could anything have been better? Any songs that you wished could've been on the setlist?
  7. I would consider CotA part of the MVC series. It's similar enough to the others games to be a part of Marvel. Shoot looks like he's referring to whole series in general, instead of specific sequel games.
  8. Not esoteric enough lol - apparently forgot to add Brawlhalla. Game is meh anyway
  9. Profound sadness. I'm a fan of the 2465 remixes of the SFV theme in the game. Indestructible is definitely better in Japanese with Flo-rida on it. Ya know, Third Strike's themes were a lot like SF6: hip hop vibe, strong percussion, weak melodies, the stage music was parsed into three mixes (home versions only), and the got rappers on their main tracks. I guess it stands to reason, since SF6 is canonically after Third Strike anyway. BTW, why in the world did it take so long for SF Duel to get to us?? Sheesh!
  10. They are and it seems like Terayama-san wanted to create some degree of cohesiveness for the soundtrack. There is some variation to some degree: Ryu's theme has hip hop and Japanese instrumentation throughout, whereas Ken's theme has more of an electronic edgy feel to it. But yeah, are the tracks a bit samey? No doubt. The same thing could be said for SFA3's music. Heeeeeecka themes use the same kinda sounds and they're still good themes, but they definitely do not hold a candle to the SFA1 remixed music. The sound team should've produced tunes with real instrumentation for the other two games like they did for Alpha 1, but I digress... Capcom is probably aware that they're not gonna please everyone with the new direction, and I think they'll likely have the classic mixes in game, probably as paid DLC.
  11. Certainly respect where you're coming from on that. Honestly agree with you on the melodies not being that strong. I've read similar opinions to what you explained just as well. When I think about the SF2 themes they probably had the strongest melodies among all the SF games. Closest to that would be the Alpha games, the EX series and the SF3 series minus Third Strike. During the 35th Anniversary Concert, they literally had to add instrumentation to Urien's theme to make it more dynamic. It was good listening for sure! (If anyone wants to listen to the concert I got the free 99 hook up. PM me if you're interested) Maybe I'm weird but from memory, I know the melodies for several characters: Ryu, Guile, Ken, Blanka, Chun, Jamie, Luke, Kimberly, and Juri. Given enough listening, I'll know Honda's and Dhalsim's too. Humbly submitted, I know nearly all the SF character series themes with few exceptions. Just love the SF music in general! 😅 Street Fighter The Movie (Arcade version) is absolute trash and vomit unless you use the codes for the character themes.
  12. Anyone tryna watch the SF 35th Anniversary Concert tonight or later after the stream ends? It'll be 1 am over here once it starts, but I'll be up for it!! https://www.promax.co.jp/sf35thlive/
  13. Happy birthday @TWINBLADES! May you reach Diamond and beyond with your favorite blonde fighter(s) in Street Fighter 6!
  14. And did I see an OD Rolling Attack go though JP's projectile?? Man, he looks more fun than in SFV and I might just pick him back up....
  15. Fine if Art wants to cover tracks or whatever - that's human nature, I get it.... But there are RECEIPTS tho.
  16. Arturo is pretty vocal... Wonder if he has anything to say in his defense?
  17. Welp… the plot thickens with reserving the Mad Gear Box. So I get into my e-mail and the transaction for the reservation was declined. For sure there’s no problem with my money… Capcom and GameStop need to get their lives. Oh well. I’ll just get the Ultimate Edition instead. 😕
  18. Hey y’all, so some really strange stuff is happening at my local GameStops to reserve the Mad Gear Box collector’s edition for SF6. I went to one to reserve the game and one of the employees said it was “sold out”, which doesn’t make any sense for a pre-order, especially so early before release. So I called another one and I still couldn’t pre-order. I got fed up and decided to go to the website instead. And strangely enough, I was able to preorder through the website. I’m not sure what the deal is with their ordering system or if this is a Capcom issue, but man that experience really sucked. And let’s just add to the issue that I can’t even play until 2-4 days after release. I love our Street Fighter CEs but dang, wasn’t expecting such a bush league level of customer service… Anyone else run into a similar issue?
