Let's see how they progress each one in a meaningful narrative way in the future For me, I preferred Ryu and Chun both single, specially Chun li. I think them being married would be soon a sign of a major reboot, both characters are essential to be single but idealize as a pair on marketing but no commitment and real attachment. Romantically inclined but not committed. Chun li cannot afford to be back seated as a character, she an icon. Yet I don't mind Ryu being like Gon's Dad, Ging Freecss leaving his son to become a hunter or something Like his son goal is meeting his father from his journey across the world, like in the greed island episode. because his father is constantly moving forward and improving. Yet I preferred Ryu's future to be more like Rouwe from Galaxy Fight That him being soughtout by new generation of fighters and old fighters

GOOD Thing they are patching things up, I hope that goes for Ed and Falke accelerated growth to be explained latter on... because that was one of the most questionable events that happen along with whatever had happen in SF2 timeline and who fought bison or reach him FIRST. I hoping for something of a WTM expamsion, looking at how the trends in gaming works nowadays like in the new Diablo, Diablo isn't around or any of the main Prime EVILS(4 shadaloo or the main of the secret society) I hope Capcom take cues for an expansion of WTM in SF6 for Shadaloo, like having a secret society season and shadaloo season as future expansion. but maybe i was hoping to far and beyond.

I think they are saving something a shadaloo and secret society related story later on. The question is? Are we going to play as the avatars? or are we just be playing as the characters again?

She more like a promotional character than a lead, even the trailer has raise more interest about Abel confrontation with Guile. it was more of a tease compare to Viper vs Chun and Ryu vs Ken that is completely just a promotional trailer

Yeah, Ryu is an icon but what i am saying is compare to other SF protagonist like Rashid. Luke would became appealing to this gaming generation and how his role would interact to the players in WTM and his narrative. Combine with the marketing gimmicks, SFV Luke is kinda fail but they had a second chance in SF6 and SFV kinda made them learn from their mistake. SF6 which seems a bit different interpretation of Luke, he seems humbled. The passing of torch happening. Ryu remains iconic and pop cultural but Luke is successful than the other previous attempts that became the centerfold but latter push back.

Looks like Capcom successfully transitioned their SF protagonist. So far Luke seems successful as a new protagonist for SF. Because of how they portray him in the narrative. For clarity i never liked Luke but they are successful now, beyond marketing and promotional but how they build up Luke's character in SF6 compare SF5.
