oh yeah, there was a closed beta some weeks ago; I signed up for it but never bothered... I had mixed feelings about the whole thing that eventually drifted off into bitterness and "eh whatever".  It's insane and hilarious that they waited this damn long to bother bringing PSO2 to the West.... I'm surely not the only former Phantasy Star fan that already gave up hope in the franchise some years ago.
 
Checking into things at a glance, certain little nitpicks immediately irked me... like the exclusion of Beasts as a playable race (perhaps due to the story timeline or whatever; I forgot the explanation for this)... Beasts were SO much fun to play in PSU and the PS Portable games....and I imagine that it's basically the only time werewolf fans have had anything besides Elder Scrolls to scratch that itch of roleplaying that...werewolves get even less spotlight than vamps in the gaming world.  (**one of my favorite memories of PS Universe was fighting a dragon boss with 5 other players...most of us playing as Beasts.. 1 or 2 CAST Rangers eventually shot it down, then all of us beasts transformed at the same time and unleashed HELL on that dragon!  Those were some good times)
 
Also--- right away I don't like how the "Duman" race is now; at least visually speaking they look silly with that singular "horn on the head" design.  In Portable 2: Infinity, they were basically a mutation of the human race that had cool "photon" powers they could unleash when removing the eyepatch inhibitor (seemingly like a great reference to "Kenpachi" from Bleach)
 
I *might* still give it a shot, perhaps during the open beta but this has become quite a tough sell to me at this point.  For years now I've just wanted any other company to handle this franchise so I could have hope in it again.

Warren "witty banter" Ellis made the entire season be one exposition scene after another.   Like we really need you to explain stuff that might happen or did happen or whole scenes of toilet paper jokes and what have you.   Meanwhile the scenes that do actually move the plot have riveting prose like "what the fuck is that" spoken by 1400 century monks.

ok hell yeah... Castlevania season 3, man... episode 3, when Lenore decided to put Hector's silly ass in his place... I know some are big-time disappointed with this season apparently but goddamn that moment was awesome right there.  This fool had the audacity to try some shit; she did the "disperse into bats" move, went into the cell and showed this chump what was up.  *Banderas.gif  sheeeitttttt, you know I'm loving that shit.
 
On another note--- it just randomly hit me... one race-swap probably no one has noticed in the realm of tv commercials lately--- "Jake, from State Farm" is a black dude now.  Hahaha they brought that commercial back recently, and everyone except "Jake" is the same for some reason. 😄

y'know, it just hit me since I noticed a thumbnail of another dsp "detractor" vid after watching another youtube vid... ol' "Darksfadil" Phil there is nearly guaranteed to be safe from the coronavirus.... because he is such a "shut-in" person.  His wife is literally the only one he sees in person on a regular basis.  Dark *will* survive this shit just like he manages to survive everything else.... fast-forward to the absolute collapse and ruin of human civilization around the world (*which I'd say IS likely...though most people will continue to not take it seriously at all)....and he will still be there streaming Minecraft and other random shit on twitch...and perfectly fine aside from his bankruptcy situation. 😄
 
I'm realizing now that unfortunately I'll most likely have to stop going to the gym....that's probably one of the best places for a virus to transmit, considering it's a room where people are constantly exhaling wayyyy more than usual all over the place.

Back to vampires, I don't know why I expected this new season of Castlvania to be any better than the last two.  
 
People are still whispering and phoning in the dreadfully written lines.    Still filled with the most banal and meaningless conversations and pointless scenes that do absolutely nothing to advance the plot of develop the characters in any meaningful fashion.   Again we have a bunch of random plots that never converge but it's even worse this season.   Like literally 4 subplots that all having nothing to do with each other.    Goofy ass character motivations and ppl doing stuff that makes zero sense like Issac being able to get into a apparently well guarded port town with a literal horde of monsters only to be confused when he is finally confronted by the town militia lol.   
 
We got Alucard playing with dolls and sulking until he meets ppl that are setup to be likened to his vampire siblings, that is until they decide to make them all have sex and make Alucard take it in the ass......

A Disney producer says the character Li Shang is missing from the live-action remake of Mulan, as his storyline is not "appropriate" in the #MeToo era.
The film tells of a woman who disguises herself as a man to fight in place of her father in China's imperial army.
In the 1998 animated original, based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, General Li Shang developed a bond with Mulan's male warrior alter-ego Ping.
After her true identity was revealed, she and Li Shang have dinner together.
Given recent revelations in Hollywood, however, producer Jason Reed confirmed they were uncomfortable with the power dynamics in their relationship.
"I think particularly in the time of the #MeToo movement, having a commanding officer that is also the sexual love interest was very uncomfortable and we didn't think it was appropriate," Reed told Collider.
"We split Li Shang into two characters [for the remake]. One became Commander Tung, who serves as her surrogate father and mentor in the course of the movie. The other is Honghui who is [Mulan's] equal in the squad."

Yeah Alucard will always be a favorite just due to the fact that he doesn't shy away from being an actual fucking monster.   Kinda like Kiss shot from Monogatari in the movies with her ass just casually eating peoples faces lol.

Arcueid from the Type Moon series is dumb powerful too.   But I think Wilhelm Ehrenburg is probably the most powerful and Sorin/D are like a bit below him.  

It's funny because it's true far too often.
