Funny, I think the opposite. Except Luke's theme. Whole character is trash tbh. Ryu's theme is definitely my favorite so far. That's one of the biggest problems with "Anime games". If you look at Guilty Gear, especially XX, there's not a lot of loli pandering despite how a lot of characters are somewhat sexualized. Not just the women, but the men too. Look no further than Johnny. GG is like, one of the flagships of Anime FGs, so the association with loli pedo scum is unfortunate. Unfortunately, the pejorative branding does have some ground to stand on.

I chose my words deliberately. "Allow to exist". Nintendo could tell everyone involved to fuck off one way or another. I wouldn't be that extreme, but that's somewhat the gist of it. Denuvo-related performance issues would hurt the Switch's rep, which is already not good on that front. That could be a reason for Nintendo to intervene and block that bloatware themselves.

Motherfuckin DENUVO!? I don't know what the hell Nintendo is thinking allowing this evil to exist, but the performance loss by itself is a dealbreaker. The Switch is already severely underpowered as is. Don't forget, this is a portable console too. Going on a road trip? No internet on the road? Get fucked. No lube, no spit. Denuvo is abysmal. As someone with an underpowered PC, I'm well aware of how atrocious it is.

The problem with it was that it didn't wind up committing to either style. A Tekken-inspired 2D fighter would be sick. A Xenoverse-like 3D arena fighter would also be sick. They tried both and wound up with neither. 😭

That was not a thing. The general mood around SFV's shameful launch and embarrassing online was apathy and indignation, not hate. People did not want for that game to be a bust. It's like MvCI, people didn't want it to fail. It did that on its own for being ass. SFV bounced back, MvCI didn't.
