  1. Pertho is yelling at clouds again. At least the weather is consistent around here.
  2. I think SF could do what Granblue did. Give the easy option but nerf the moves in some regards when using them.
  3. Add CS:GO to that list. And now tell me, what the actual problem is then. Because right now we have like 5 corner all yelling different stuff.
  4. Nah thats a general FG Issue not just SFV. One of my FC Member who I got to play Nioh, who hates Souls games btw., also got interested as I was streaming Melty. Since it's free he just downloaded the game, I helped a bit with setting up and then let him to his own. He asked me next evening after Raid, if I can help him with it. Since the game has no Tutorial whats-o-ever he just played Arcade on lowest difficulty. He did make it to Hermes at the end, but couldn't beat her. Yadda Yadda Yadda, so I went to "Training Mode" with him in Netplay and went over some things with him. He just said after I explained for 10 minutes "Damn that sounds easy." It was easy until I started running offence on him, then he didn't last long. But hey he has been beating Arcade Mode a couple of times now and managed it to take a round of me where I only used the A Button. Surpressing my urge to constantly throw was hard I tell ya. What I probably want to say, is that once he got told how the game works it became a lot easier for him to play. Yeah sure he has to learn a lot, but he found a character and got some basic combos and Neutral ideas after, I think it's 2 weeks now. Which makes me ask the whole time how that part can be done by the games themselfs.
  5. This topic is so stupid. No FG Dev has tackled this problem correctly and they will keep missing it. Difficulty should be a nice curve anyway. FGs should be easy to understand, you should not need tutorials and especially not tutorials like we have right now that are so stupidly boring you die of reading "An Anti-Air is an invincible Move that beats attacks that come from above! Press you anti-air button 5 times now and show Ken whos Boss!" Tutorials do jack shit as they are right now. I always liked GGs Mission Mode, but they are also just textboxes and a "throw Ky 5 times" thing after. I know you want to keep yelling that FGs are hard with every single clip imagenable to prove it, but I can throw these people into any MMO Raid and they would say the same. Every Game is hard when you first start no matter the Genre. The Thing is every Genre manages it to make themselfs more accesable and easier to understand. My Question is how can FGs achive this and I haven't have gotten one good answer. Also SFV isn't hard, it's just shit. Thats known for 6 years and somehow people still play.
  6. Wow ain't like I have been saying that for the last months (at least in private conversations). Missing the point, on purpose, like always. Do me a favor and keep yelling at clouds old man, you're just wasting my time at this point.
  7. Keep trying, maybe one day I will fall for your old ass baits. Dunno if you read the block I put out some days ago. I still think this is mainly duo to FGs doing a terrible Job to teach people how to actually play the game. Which is what bothers me. Usually if you explain stuff to people they usually understand, but thats again go to outside sources to learn the game. And that is not how it should be.
  8. We live in a timeline where people say SFV is hard. Oh god, how did we end up here, I wanna swap timelines.
  9. Uhm, so I just ran into this. Guess Ryu was tired of being in SF.
  10. ASW Lobby System was always fine. Just Strive went over board with it, scale it back down to Rev/BBTag levels and it will be all fine again!
  11. I could play @Volt in BBCF Delay Based Netcode somewhat ok. Thats Germany to Brasil. As comparison, as I was playing SFV, one of my friends who lives 2 towns appart was an unplayable teleport viesta for both of us. As SFV came out, the main complaint ,appart from the lack of everything because the game was an empty husk with no soul, was the garbage Netcode. I remember how Sajam in every Rollback Video had to say, that SFV Rollback is the worst example for Rollback you can find and it was so bad, that people wanted delay netcode back.
  12. The ironic part is, even the Grid doesn't has a consistent 60 fps. Game made for Ps4 btw.
  13. How is that different from what we got the last 6 years?
  14. When I think about Auto-combos P4A is the last game I think about. For the simple reason that it is not a wrong version of it. When I think about Auto-combos I think about something like DBFZ or the latest fuck up in that department Melty Blood. Rest are valid points, stuff needs to be done quick and simple, don't have screenfilling textboxes and don't expect people to not know that you move forward by pressing forward. I also don't think that execution = depth Not having enough meat in the game to sink your teeth into brings that problem , Execution requirements for difficult but rewarding stuff is always fine, but shit like locking characters base functionality behind shit like 1f links is absolute nonsense. It is why I like Gatlings so much, you can always string something together without needing much execution. Most new FGs are so shallow on their mechanical site, that they just become boring really fast. Doesn't help that they are balanced around minus frames so even just pressuring doesn't make much fun.
  15. Sounds about in line with Capcoms decision making.
  16. So, following Kingtubbs post. Some days ago I was talking with a friend who plays FGs very casually, I was talking with him about difficulty in games in general and how harder games are usually a lot more fun, than easy ones. Also why something like Elden Ring and Dark Souls is popular when they are hard games. I basically was also discussing why he someone who doesn't like Souls games, plays Nioh a lot. He basically said, it's because Souls games are very boring and lack depth in their combat. Nioh is fast and has a lot of depth with it's mechanics, it is a lot more fun , the difficulty doesn't even bother him at all. Oddly thats kinda my stance on Fromsoft games too, I don't dislike them but I prefer something like Nioh over it. So I then mentioned the FG part and said that I was basically with every FG since 2016 disappointed, outside of GBVS but thats a different topic. Not because they are easy, but because they are just one dimensional, they lack any depth to the game, it's like sitting in a puddle, instead of swimming in an ocean. GBVS actually was on the edge of that, it was a fine balance between these 2 and then they started nerfing everything. Haven't played the new version, apparently they reversed a lot of Nerfs. Anyway, I asked him which FG he would play from whats currently on the market and he oddly enough gravitated to either DBFZ or T7. As I asked why, he said that the characters in DBFZ look like they do a lot of cool shit and the game looks fast and fluid. While for T7, he liked how the game looked from watching. We then continued to talk about more popular games, I just noticed something a couple of times. Why are CS:GO, DoTA and LoL so super popular, when they are actually stupidly hard? And yes, I call them hard, if you ever tried to play these games at a high level they are stupidly difficult. I think it is actually something I had said to friends for a while. FGs are incredible shit at teaching you how to play the fucking game. They have garbage tutorials, if they have "good" tutorials they are also trash, because they are so god damn boring that no sane person wants to sit trough that. Not just are people actually ready to put up with difficult games, they even grind stuff like this. The main difference I see here, is that getting into a Shooter is infinitly easier than into a FG. When you start a shooter, you get a gun, get a button to fire and you know shooting the enemy kills them. When you start a FG, you get not told what to do, you get not told how to play the game, you have to go to menus and red textboxes, watch youtube videos to get combos (because ingame trials are still garbage 90% of the time) and the list goes on. Something like Auto-combos doesn't fix the problem, it just hides it more. My one big problem, is that I have no fucking clue how to fix this problem. How can you teach people how to play FGs, without the god awful tutorials we have right now.
  17. Kotaku calling someone bad is usually a sign that it is the exact opposit.
  18. I still don't get why Capcom makes hands and feet this big. It just looks stupid at this point. Especially when you have the same character have yeeti feet the size of a small country in one outfit and in the next they have normal human size.
  19. How would that be different from the SF6 teaser?
  20. I except thats the same people who make up 10x the population of GG AC+R online on consoles. We already had that topic.
  21. Got the Showcase PS4, hooked it up to my second Monitor. Time to play some Blazblue and check the onli..... oh wait no one plays the far inferior version anymore. Well prepared for DnF
  22. Yes, isn't it wonderful? I couldn't ask for anything better tbh!
  23. First comment: So basically, everyone got buffed Alright thats really nice then. I will borrow the PS4 for this weekend. Lets celebrate with something good, anime tiddies! And Thighs!
