Someone mentioned a prem only section but with how little members have so far I feel that would be a waste of resources until those numbers grow. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head that a prem section would be good for is (if able) be able to beta test some of the bigger changes you’d like to do.

Those are some beneficial benefits. Animated avatar file size increase would be a nice bonus too. Also, I know the old Galaga shields were brought up, but some kind of icons related to posts (outside of the leveled avatar. Which is a more general icon to show how you’ve contributed) would be cool too. I know a lot of people are wanting it “the way it was” on the other site. So I get why you’d be hesitant to adapt some of the changes people are asking. My argument though is you’ve done a great job of modernizing all the stuff we’ve loved about posting in forums over the years. I’m not even talking about from the other forum we migrated from either. Just in general. So a lot of members want see that kind of creativity continue.

The issue with main stream marvel and Dc comics right now is they’re afraid of creating legitimate new characters. All we get is recasts of mantels or a reboot or a palette swap. (That said about the reboot I **love** Hickmans X-Verse run right now. It’s been my favorite run I’ve stayed current with since original Civil War) also a lot of modern marvel/Dc just rehash the same stories over and over and over but with “twists” or “surprises” sprinkled throughout. also “writing for the trade” is another huge issue and has been for a while. You shouldn’t leave every 3-5 issues on a cliff hanger. It’s gross. I know a lot of great writers who do it but they do it well and not in an insulting way. Kirkman and Hickman come to mind.

Just got back from my sisters house. I really missed my bed and my recliner. As well as not having a screaming toddler wake me up at 6am. He’s worth it though. We had a blast hanging out and playing together. I hadn’t seen my sisters families new house due to work schedule and other things. So it was nice to finally see it. Also got to see their wonderful bulldog apollo and their cats, Phantom and Andi. All 3 of whom I missed very much (I use to live with my sister and Bro in Law back home in Seattle) all around fun trip. I have a feeling they’ll be down for thanksgiving or Christmas. Or we’ll be up there. I’m hoping them down here. I got some errands to run hopefully tomorrow. If I can’t I’ll just clean for the day. I have a lot of little things I can get done around the house.

I’ve met Geese IRL at a few evo’s. Dude is incredibly chill. Insanely funny too. he’ll probably hate me for telling this story but the first time I met him was probably one of the funniest things I had ever seen up until that point. before evo he, Valaris, dios x (old school gd mod, awesome dude) and a few others all exchanged numbers so we could meet up. I texted geese and was like “yo, Valaris, so and so and myself are about to come to your room so we can scoop you up and grab lunch”. He texted back “cool, come to my room in 30 minutes” I wrote back “naw, we comin’ now homie!” He texts back exactly how he replies on SRK “...you should really wait” We did not wait. so Valaris, whoever else was with us and myself all went to geese’s room about 10 minutes later. I hear him doing something but he yells “who is it” I replied “It’s Valaris and Stu! Open up bitch!” Delayed “...it’s open” First thing Valaris and I see when we walk in is a TV tray with an open laptop, a stack of dynasty Warriors games next to some lotion and cleanex. I start legit howling in laughter. I didn’t think black men could blush but holy shit lol. He looked so embarrassed and flustered when I immediately pointed what I saw out.

Yup. By the time I was in 7th grade Washington state had completely gotten rid of teaching cursive from the curriculum EDIT Re Time: even though I know military time and have known since I was very little I’ve always fucking hated it. I avoid using it at all times.

They didn’t delve that deep into shit like that. It was more of a crash coarse as opposed to an actual platform. A lot of my friends thought it was such an interesting class cause their schools didn’t provide anything like that. (I went to an “alternative” high school. It was for pregnant teen girls who still wanted to finish school, teens who had to take part time jobs to help their family, kids that got expelled from other schools, sometimes kids slightly on the spectrum. it was a lighter schedule. You either went to school Mon, Tues, Wed and a half day Friday. Or you went Tues, Wed, Thurs, half day Friday. If you were a senior you didn’t go to school on Fridays. The school days were 9am-2:30pm except on Friday. We’d get out at noon on fridays. I personally went cause everything I read about it was much better from a mental health aspect. Cause I was teetering on suicide when I was in a normal jr high and then high school.)

Because I moved around so much when I was little due to my dad being in the army I never learned cursive. I learned certain letters here and there but not complete cursive. Usually by the time I moved to that state they had just finished covering it or they covered it in the previous grade. Fast forward later to high school where I was in a class that basically “prepared you for the future” where we did stuff like learn to balance check books, sign our signature, how to open bank accounts, make resumes, etc. I ended up getting into a shouting match with the teacher because he though I was lying about no knowing cursive and that I was just being stubborn. Our fight lasted a good few minutes. He ended up keeping me after class to talk to me one-on-one. When it was just us he asked “Do you REALLY not know cursive?!” I said yes I really don’t know cursive and explained what I explained at the beginning of this post. Everything then suddenly clicked for him. He was like “oh man, my bad, that makes 100% sense. I didn’t mean to blow up on you like that. I should have just trusted what you were telling me or asked why you don’t know”. I just replied “yeah, it’s fine. If you hadn’t of snapped at me I wouldn’t have clapped back. So it’s all good” he then continued “so, in my opinion you don’t really need to KNOW cursive but I’m going to at least teach you how to sign your name. You will ALWAYS need to know how to do that. Anything after that is up to you” so over the next week he taught me how a coherent way to sign my signature (I say coherent cause I’m left handed so everything I write looks like it’s coming from a serial killer)

We will once people actually put their money where their mouth is and stop buying the same annual sports trash they’re given (and hate) until then the fans of those games honestly deserve everything they’re getting. Cause they know all this shit and more will be in the game but they still support it .
