Honestly the current climate is one of the reasons, besides them being cheap, that Nintendo doesn't fuck with the esports communities as deep as the players would want for this long. Folks really feeling entitled for games like they ain't trying to make money and can't understand why a company doesn't want folks to use methods that would weaken their ability to do so.

No I get it, especially with Sony but Disney seems to have strong hand with the films and if this will be the last solo outing of Spidey I can understand them trying to go big. Plus for Sony this brings all the good stuff into their own Sony Spider Verse which due to the popularity of the character they will always have control of in terms of films. I mean you would have to pray for the collapse of both the PlayStation brand, Sony Music and Films to put them in the dire straits of Fox where they would sell back the franchise. I will take this moment to condemn the terrible management of Marvel comics even in bankruptcy you shouldn't have signed away your biggest brand for such a indefinite contract.

Doom Eternal looks pretty good on Switch. I am tempted to buy but will wait. My nephew still sometimes uses my Switch and I don't want to have to use parental controls, my other M games are on carts so I can control if he gets those or not when I am not around.

This Spidey film feels less a continuation of MCU Parker's story and more a live action Spiderverse. I am down and I hope they find a way to throw in a reference to the Japanese Toku Spider-Man as well.

By 28 if you have ever had to know the struggle of supporting yourself, others or paid attention to the world outside your own lanes you should know how corporations are about money and control. No matter how nice they act and cool they seem, the company has to have both to stay a float. Expecting a company to bend to your desires because YOU think it is right without recognizing the legal grounds it opens up that the company has made no effort to try to hide it fighting is just foolish.

From a business stand point, which the company clearly is, they couldn't let the Big House event to go on, anymore then the NFL or NBA could promote online streams of their games on a random YouTube channel at the same time as national broadcasting of games.

Weird hill to die on for Splatoon players given Nintendo is pretty much the biggest thing keeping that in the public eye at least in NA from what I see. I am not up on the TikToks so maybe there is a young player scene I am unaware of but the only thing I hear about Splatoon as a esports is usually from Nintendo itself pushing it. Players revolting on that won't really hurt Nintendo but a slight stain until they drop their next big announcement like a new game or the next Smash DLC character.

Yeah I actually just realized the Casper Cole story would be perfect to recast someone as the Panther, but given the wide spread issues with police it is something else to try adapting that story.

I went to see Birds of Prey, My Hero Academia and the Guy Ritchie film The Gentlemen before the pandemic shut everything down. Haven't gone yet but only because Tenet was not amazing per reviews and folk I spoke with that saw it in theaters to risk it. Would have went out for Dune for certain but I guess if they ever put HBO Max on Roku or WebOS I won't have to.

One can only hope they match the charm of the better Hawkeye comics for the new series.
