Anyone here up to date with the Berserk manga? I've lately been thinking of starting to read it and I'm interested in the final released chapters. I'd like to know what's the general gist of the story (without spoilers if possible) currently. I've watched the 90's Berserk show, so I know the gist of the story as a whole, but I want to know what the current arc is about. And is it anywhere near to the end, so Miura's successor would not have that much work to do once the series resumes, or is this going to take like 20 more years? The anime cliffhanger at the end left me gasping for air, but I'm much more satisfied with letting the story end there, than in a much less satisfying cliffhanger, considering I imagine the last released chapter was not intentionally designed to be a satisfying ending point. At least the anime ends does have some finality to it, even though it's like, not even a fourth of the story.

The first season of the Flash was the best superhero TV show prior to Daredevil coming out. I still rank it very high. It quickly fell away, with season 2 not being half as great. However, I'd say season 2 was still pretty good. Starting with the 3rd, however, it all became trite.

Don't want to piss in anyone's cornflakes but I don't think SFVI is going to have an Arcade Mode. Not at launch, anyway. They revealed a bunch of stuff but no word on it. Not even in passing. Don't be surprised if it's not there. On the other hand, I can see them adding one further down the line, combining it with the Character Story mode from V and fixed Rival Battles like in IV. Something like, "animated" prologue (SFV-like) three random fights, first rival, with unique cutscenes, three more random fights, second rival, sub-boss (AKI?), final boss (JP), "animated" ending. That would be cool.

I like Max and I can see why he wouldn't like SFV's story. But I find it hilarious how NO ONE mentions how much better it is as a MODE than pretty much any other fighting game. It doesn't use the shitty chapter structure that NRS does, which forces you to play one character, lets the villains get 0 wins and forces contrived interactions just for the sake of filling a character's chapter; it's not simply a movie, like Guilty Gear; It's really the best story mode in any fighting game. I can get not liking the story itself, but it works much better than whatever other companies are trying to pull. And this was just the first attempt. There's improvements to be made, for sure. Some are obvious, some are not. Some might be gimmicky, some might complement the game as a whole. But it's not a total disaster. NRS, the so-called bastion of story modes in FGs has been struggling with their model for 6 games! The writing is terrible there too, the actual mode holds the story back as well. If it weren't for the high production values, it would be crap. It's sad they completely abandoned the story mode for the world tour mode, as cool as that looks. I don't think those two wouldn't be able to coexist. It's not like the player avatar is going to be the main hero or anything.

Years ago I uploaded a Work-in-progress / conceptual version of this project (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PH_N933qocs). This is the final version of that video. Contained in this and omitted in there is the Super Saiyan God ritual. Many flaws still exist: - the audio mixing is not great, because I am not very well experienced in separating voice tracks from music tracks, so sometimes you will hear the original soundtrack in places I meant to have silence. Sound mixing is also pretty bad, volume is up one scene, then too low the next. Sorry about that. Despite this, I do not plan a further version so... If anyone likes the video and thinks he can improve the audio, I am down for it. No credit needed or anything like that. Just do your magic and make this better, cause the way it's cut, it actually works pretty well and it would be a shame not to have the best version available. I am even willing to share my project, so just contact me. - the continuity is very hard to synchronize between the two mediums. The Super anime is almost intentionally made in such a way to make mixing it with the move almost impossible, as the two fighters spend most of the fight on separate sides of the screen, between the two versions! However, I tried my best to do justice both to the animation and to the story. - subtitles: I tried to cut most of the peanut gallery scenes for the sake of time. However, there are still few frames at the beginning of some scenes that begin with what was supposed to be a line uttered by a supporting member of the cast, like Goten and such. Nothing I could do about it and should not be that big a deal, as to detract from the enjoyment of the video. - copyright: this is the second version I upload, as the first was blocked in all regions due to copyright. As such, I had to modify the entire video. I added a filter over it, making it reminiscent of the Tournament of Power look in later Super episodes and also, in some particular scenes, the pitch was modified, so if the voices don't sound quite right, take it up with Toei. If you've got an hour to kill and miss Super, don't hesitate to give it a watch. Despite the flaws still in there caused by my inexperience in editing, I find the end result to be pretty entertaining. If the video is received well I intend to do a mash-up of Vegeta vs Freeza from Resurrection F. Goku vs Freeza from RoF is pretty much covered by AnimeAjay's cut of the entire movie (I can track down the link if you want to see that. That's pro stuff, not my amateur audio mixing ass), so I won't bother with that, but in Ajay's version he used exclusively the movie beatdown Vegeta gives Freeza. I think there's potential there and it would be a much shorter project than this one.

I'm not saying the areas should influence what DLC characters make it in, but thematic areas additional to the season pass, as bonuses, tied to thematic characters packs actually sounds pretty cool. So the characters would influence what other areas make it in. For example, it wouldn't make sense to add an area in, like, Germany, without Hugo or Falke in the game. But if these characters are planned, a new area tied to them makes sense.

I can already envision: Shadaloo Pack: Balrog, Vega, Bison and F.A.N.G/Decapre, Shadaloo Island as location, with different areas like the Secret Laboratory from SF4 or SF5. Kung Fu Pack: Yun, Yang, Fei Long and Gen/new character (Gen's apprentice?), with Hong Kong locations, including a cool movie studio with DRAGONS, like Fei's SF2 stage. Kanzuki Estate Pack: Karin, Birdie, Ibuki and R.Mika, with a Kanzuki lands area, including Karin's house and Ibuki's clan. And I can already think of more but don't want the post to get to big.
