I still love Xmas but thats probably bc: I'm single and have no kids. My bday is a few days before I only have to buy gifts for a few people. Cooler or pleasant weather without snow. I do minimal decorating (tree, few indoor knick nacks, and 2 strings of lights outside) My mom bakes/makes some good stuff. (She doesnt cook much now and only makes certain holiday things from Thanksgiving - NYears) I can imagine it is a hell for retail, delivery/postal shipping people, parents though.

I saw Eternals today. I have never read the comics. Pros: The sense of scope and scale as a "long" term (over thousands of years) sort of project. The diverse cast and some brief sexuality lol. I believe this is the first time weve seen ASL in a MCU film and a gay kiss from a main character. The twists and the shifting allegiances of some characters. One of them was kinda moving (I am a sentimental squigga. YMMV) There werent really any true "villains" in this. Cons: Some characters were get short shrift (understandable since there are 10 leads). A little long I would have liked one more big action scene. Overall: 7.5/10 The second end credit scene....

Despite growing up with NES games, I don't miss the harder difficulty of some of these "retro" games. Modern games are too easy ,but at the same time I dont want to increase my BP when playing them lol. I feel like I mostly play games for the combat and or story Just becoming an old squigga I guess
