  1. Heck the barber guy could be a fan of Dudley's heh, his picture's right next to G's anyways. I can't make out his tattoo, but it looks like a Motorcycle on his left facing arm and something is my life" . I'm wondering if the wall is like those restaurants that show pics of all the celebs that have popped in there? Hmm. edit: looked at the video in the highest quality. "Barbering is my life" is on his arm with a drawing of scissors. On his right facing fingers is something like "ROOT", one of his pins looks like something for the US armed services, maybe former member turned barber? When my and my pals were watching the stream, we were wondering if Rudric had any potential ties to Dhalsim. At one point I wondered if, given the student-teacher themes, he may have been a disillusioned student who left him and turned to crime. Ryo's post: ""RUDRA" Rudra (ुढ्र [rudra]) is a storm god in Indian mythology. Its name comes from the root word rud, which means "crying, barking" and means "one who raises a roar" or "one who shouts". (From Wikipedia)"
  2. This is exactly what I'm thinking. Hah, I was writing up something for this just right now, but yeah I definitely think this is more for his specific aims. His whole aesthetic utilizes uncle Sam, but he has no sense of patriotism and wants EVERYONE to unite, so if he's calling for an army, it would not be for America. I don't think it's indicating that Dudley's a barber. It's probably just an ad for his general brand or, since in this game members of the cast have opened eateries and merch, Dudley may be selling iconic mustache wax and this being a Metro city barbershop, it's in demand there.
  3. Cameos in the Guile barbershop pic: https://twitter.com/Shockdingo/status/1649215487073480708?t=FaA3_Ctz7z02DGngpq3Jyg Edit: ack, picture never loaded
  4. It's not available yet, but you'll get a music app in world tour: While there's no Q yet, at least there will be trench coats & slacks as clothing options, so I can make him:
  5. Also, I could have sworn I saw an option for choosing how many stages arcade mode was. Loving the full circle moment; Bison tried to kill Ryu with a semi, now we can kill the semi in arcade mode lol
  6. I was wondering if it's a South East Asian country or another stage in Nayshall?
  7. I wanted the Mad Gear box, but I'm getting SF6 on PC and as far as I could see there's no option for that 😞
  8. Ugh, I hope not. Maybe it's because I've read too many comic books, but dead family/dead family member/dead teammate is such an overused trope. Not even in origin stories, but "this issue will SHOCK YOU!" ways. You can drag a character through the wringer, through hell in so many ways and not go to dead loved one. The devs have been moving the series forward, but going back to another "good shoto struggling with evil/hate" would be a regression. You don't even have to have Ken have the happy ending immediately, it could even be melancholy and be his new direction for the next 3 games where even with JP dead/defeated/depowered, the effects of the plot still require Ken to stay away and fix this. You can add new things along the way and build towards a happy reunion in SF8 if need be, but just killing Eliza and or Mel is a waste. Especially now that story is more important to the series, you could do more with the npc characters, you could make Eliza compelling, be his Mary Jane (classic era) who shows strength and resolve through the horror show that their lives, but the come together stronger. For all that these folks have been doing to move the timeline, character designs, and motivations forward, Ken becoming Violent Ken would be such a waste, especially since they're doing something big with him and unique so far.
  9. I really don't see them killing Ken. This whole direction feels like they're giving him trials to give him new direction, but not a swansong. I'm thinking that they're breaking him down to build him up again will eventually reunite him with his family for a good ending. I also feel that this is to say, sure Ryu and Luke are the future, but also Ken, while not a headliner, is capable of his own story. Ryu and Luke are giving their whole lives to their fights, but Ken's family and love of them is being elevated as his main aesthetic now, rather than, wandering warrior.
  10. Yeah, I was kinda concerned when we learned Necalli was not human and some Pillarman. I don't want things to wildly escalate. I REALLY don't want G to be mystical, I want him to be harnessing some sort of power rather than being a spirit or God. Since SRK, I've been saying how I don't want SF to get into the shonen power creep / escalation trap. I want it to have martial arts and some mysticism a dip into some sci-fi, but I don't want it to go KoF and have gods and higher beings regularly. It works for that series since it was there right in the first arc and the series has always hovered in that realm. I fear going too wild could get into a tailspin. Though so far with all that we've seen in SF6, it feels very much like we've come back to somewhat grounded setting. We're in urban settings, a manhunt, a plunderer with a power native to the series, and the path of warriors young and old, so I feel pretty safe for now. I hope that the current team sticks with this direction, has some surprises, but doesn't go crazy in the world structure or something hah.
  11. I see your point. I really hope he's not an alien or something and I really hope they don't use that design I just never liked it. He looks like he belongs in Star Gladiator.
  12. Necalli is a mess and a reminder of the narrative hiccups, I don't think an encore is in the cards. Heck even in the comments of this piece by ssshuckle someone points out that Capcom JP wished Necalli a happy birthday via Tweet, but Eng Capcom ignored. Ouch lol Also, gendered & non-gendered pronouns are used in Japanese more often than English, may be because Necalli is inhuman, not sure, but I doubt this is anything. Like I said, Necalli was a mess and halfway through SFV, they just rushed the loc'd one out the door and into the dumpster in a hurry.
  13. I'm curious if JP's duality will be similar to Dr. Doom's? He's a hero to his people and can even have hints of nobility, but he's an antagonist and outright villain to those outside of his nation.
  14. Yuuuup! This goes with the theory I've had that G's been around for ages, but the President of the World Gimmick is just his latest. I still think G & Q are separate, but connected people, but this goes on with showing that they've both been around longer than we expected. I really hope that if they are continuing the thread of G & Q, they do it early rather than waaay later. While I'd love to play as them in s2, I'm fine with cameos and references in world Tour off the ba to show that they're still remembered and we'll be going there eventually.
  15. Hard to say. Since it's so recent and by the same dev team for the most part, I don't think so, but I can see them elaborating or tweaking things. They may be vague overall and just build from what was there if they're going to reference SFV. Ooh, good find, thanks for posting, dude!
  16. These last Chun and Cammy posts got me to thinking. I hope that they introduce or even reference an epilogue to ASF or something, like once the big ending with Bison happened there was a big effort of striking down as many remaining global forces of Shadaloo or remaining loyalists or something so that the heroes could be marked as doing something. Cause so far it feels contradictory with what we all saw happen vs what the SF6 canon is stating. I dunno, just one last adventure for the heroes to have before the time skip would be interesting, heck that way we could see or at least have in the background them fighting the cooler SF movie- styled grunts and other things introduced in Shadaloo CRI. I dunno, just rambling lol.
  17. Well said, I am one who likes balance. I don't ever want SF to get so grim-dark serious as the manhua's that it becomes a parody, but after a bit of the wacky days of Sf4 & SF5 stuff, this does feel great. Serious & intense when it wants to be, but remembering there's a soul of fun and hilarity that's compatible too. This is very good! Sweet mercy, I desperately wanna see what Q would look and work like in SF6. I wanna see how they'd revamp his supers at the very least!
  18. Lilly looks delightful & I can see people just loving her. Curious to see if she's directly T. Hawk's daughter or if she's just another member of the tribe. Wind effects are looking cool and I like that picture taking aspect. Curious about where that'll go. Cammy's look initially had me wondering if she's on the run, but the site description + casual outfit makes me wonder if she's furious at being stuck on deskwork at HQ. Does she always have everything listed as hates? Curious if there's something more going on. Her animations look amazing! I love her winpose, the way she vanishes and the camera's searching for her is cool stuff. Her stage is so cool, dark and moody. With the trench coat dude there, it made me want Q prowling in the background. Gief is looking great! Loving the new moves and his intro in the trailer was badass! I love that he's got more students in addition to Mika. Keeping the respect on this man and having the muscle power legacy continue? I love it! Guys, this game is gonna be fantastic. I'm so excited!
  19. I'm wondering, what if it's a new faction all together? This is a concept I'm playing with in my forever-in-development project, but after Shadaloo crumbles, a power vacuum slowly creeps into the world and so you've got people trying to be the new Shadaloo or everyone's noticing that Shadaloo doesn't have a stranglehold on the entire world (and criminal underworld) so people are carving out small bits for themselves. What if these masked folks are part of a new Chinese gang or crime syndicate; not a world-threat, but popping up more and more to the point that it threatens Chun Li and Li-Fen's neighborhood? Also, I commissioned one of my favourite twitter artists to bring my idea of a Marisa vs Q match to life: Viper continues to hate her current assignment lol
  20. Heh, perfect timing then, eh? I'm slowly starting up my SF projects again and in the far future, this would need to be addressed, thank you for the beautiful, heartfelt answer! I knew I could count on you, dude! Best of luck with your fanfic! I'll be sure to consult you in the future, cheers!
  21. @Chun-Li_Foreverneed your insight; would Li-Fen call Chun-Li mom or something else? I don't recall how she refers to her in Chun-Li's SFV storymode post-ASF. Thanks in advance!
  22. For real this time? It feels like the release date for Duel has been moved a bunch of times before.
