@MillionXHow would you recommend getting through the levels in dead cells? It seems the game rewards speed running through levels as I can get strong items if I manage to find the exit under a certain time. However some of the runes I found were from careful exploration just taking my time.

I bought dead cells. This is the second rouge like game I've played (the first being rouge legacy which I didn't like at all). Just in the opening minutes it shitted on rouge legacy for me. I like how snappy and fast the gameplay is. Once I understand this game it feels like this game could be one I would be able to Speedrun. Hope there are things that carry over with each run as that's the one thing I hated the most about Rouge legacy. IIRC, only money carried over between runs and I never got a lot of it. I'm hoping I can get some weapons, spells, upgrades or whatever to carry over to keep me going. Starting from zero each time I get old for me quick.

The cancelled Dreamcast game was actually meant to explain this. Castlevania Resurrection was going to star Sonia Belmont and Victor Belmont in a time traveling adventure taking place in 1666. The latter being the secondary protagonist and hailing from the 1800s. Victor didn't want to fulfill his family legacy and ran away. This is purposedly why the clan disappeared for the century. The heir apparent was bitch made.

I completely agree with what your saying. Some of the words listed here and some of their suggestions is absolutely ridiculous. They don't want people to say walk-in because it's ablest? Gendered words in general treated with scrutiny and hip hop hooray having ties with Nazi Germany? This feels like it came straight out of an episode of South Park

Bloodlines made Quincy Morris a distant relative of the Belmont's. That's why he and his family had vampire killer in the 1900s. Since they weren't full blooded Belmonts the whip would drain their life force for using it. That's how John died and why Johnathan needed to fight the memory of the whip to unlock it's full power.

Portrait of Ruin is my personal favorite Castlevania. Knowing it's a direct sequel to bloodlines I wish the game had a similar aesthetic to that game.

People were pissed with Dawn and PoR because it was a change. Kojima artwork defined Castlevania at the time so changing it wasn't going to sit well. Those games weren't the first to sport the aesthetic as Rondo of Blood had a generic anime aesthetic as well. As much as I love Kojima art her work has plenty of anime troupes as well. Every male character she draws is a conventionally handsome pretty boy and that includes Dracula. Her style wouldn't be out of place in a shoujo work.

It could be he has a different throw depending on the position of his opponent. Mika has two different forward throws in SF5 depending if her opponent is crouching.
