Ed already had a dodge in SFV it was his V-Skill 2. And thinking about Ed's kit I don't really see how they'd tone down his Psycho Power. Most of his attacks has a Psycho Power flourish. His up kicks had PP. His projectile which was proto sand blast had PP. He had power dunk before Marisa. I think his over all style will carry over from 5 but with more target combos and cool juggles off his level 1/2.

It’s been what 3 months on AKI now? I really love this character. But sometimes it’s really hard to figure out how to be consistent with her. My new goal is to try a get to 1600MR but the MR grind is fucking tough as shit. One moment I'm doing sick AKI combos then the next I’m getting punched in the face by Marisa or getting dabbed on by fucking Jamie’s. Also speaking of Jamie. I know this character is considered “low tier” but holy fuck every Jamie I play has the most good like fundies. I swear no character makes me more mad than that fucker. Not even Blanka which is fucking crazy. People meme about muh drinks but I swear I can’t fucking stop the drinking bro! I’m gonna go back to playing Lily at some point. I want to unga again and I think getting to master with AKI has helped me expand my understanding of the game. Blog post over.

You could get to master in SFV with a 46% win rate. The reason why it was so fucking hard was because the ranks were super compressed due to lack of players. So being at 1400LP put you in the bracket of fighting everyone that was right on the cusp of Ultra Platinum all the way to fucking Warlord. Absolutely no one that wasn’t pushing 70% win rate was making any substantial gains. Because SF6 has way more people playing it and because the ranking system doesn’t go to shit till you hit legend 43% W/L is pretty viable for hitting Master.

I mostly agree with you but I still think the outfit payment method is BS. Capcom knows they can ass fuck us because they gave us a game that was basically the second coming of Jesus. So now they can just dangle that over us every time we bitch about DLC. Games like Granblue have something to prove much like SFV did so that's why they're going hard and Capcom is laughing to the bank. I still wish we got more shit like EX colors in the passes or even like what Granblue is doing like giving you special colors for reaching certain ranks. But I digress.

Got like 200 points away from master and then it all went down hill. Lost over 800 points. I haven’t spiraled like this in a minute. I also have a new found seething hatred for anyone using modern controls. I first I was cool with it because I’m a woke ass nigga but these lazy little shit get to press one button for DP and super and it’s absolutely fraudulent. Having to change your entire fucking game plan because niggas got easy mode mapped button is so fucking gay. I fucking hate SF6!

After playing with AKI for over a month here’s my thoughts. I think AKI is a good character. I think her main issues are that she’s meter hungry and basically auto losses once she’s cornered. I think she losses to every projectile character with Ryu/Ken/Chun-Li probably being her worst match ups followed by Cammy. I think she’s goes even with characters like Lily (still annoying) and Marisa (relatively okay). I don’t think she has any 6-4 MU in her favor. She losses the fireball war and when you use her EX fireball she basically is throwing away meter for the chance of a potential mid screen shimmy or cross up and that cross up will only come after EX slide. She’s got a neat command grand that can open people up if they’re sleeping at the wheel but it’s effectiveness isn’t as fear inducing as say Marisa’s special that cancels into a command grad. Here’s what I think AKI needs to be slightly better. Forewarning I’m absolutely dog shit at fighting games and don’t understand theory crafting so everything I say will probably sound retarded. 1. Expand the hitbox on her level 1 both upward and covering her back side. When dealing with people doing throw bait jumps in or cross ups I’d like to have an answer to it. Right now her level 1 is probably the worst one in the game. I’d also increase its damage. I was teetering on making it fireball invincible but if we need balance then I can take getting hit out of it. If all level 1’s don’t have projectile invincibility then disregard. 2. Extend her hitbox on cr.mp. This is a fairly simple ask. We need a longer poke that can combo into something reliably. Her only longer non command normal poke is her stand fierce and it only links into itself. 3. Make poison status affect force burn out if opponent has no health left. This is a devilish buff and I highly doubt Capcom would do it (pussies) but holy fuck would it be funny as shit lol 4. Increase recovery on her poison tendrils. 5. Increase recovery on her fireball either regular EX or both. 6. Fix medium poison tendril. I don’t know how but it’s a shitty anti air. >i-i-it’s not supposed to be a good anti air Fuck you! Outside of that I really can’t think of anything substantial that she needs since she still has to have some weaknesses.
