Finally made it to gold 5 with Lily. Gonna try and clean my shit up and hopefully I can get to platinum 1 before the week is over. Fuck JP.

I’m at Gold 2 with Lily now. Some things are clicking but I’m still playing SFV. Neutral is more solid but I need to practice my drive rush conversions. My DP’s are getting better. Never really had to learn to AA DP in a fighting before so I’m just pressing that shit even when it’s most likely not gonna work. Fuck DJ. Character is for clown shoes ass niggas

I'm calling it, Lily low mid. I think she will def get some adjustments this time next year. I know I know, too soon. I just think she's lacking and her weaknesses are more obvious even from a scrub like me. El Chakotay got to master rank with her and won most of his matches getting there and even he said he sees the cracks. I also see no big JP players fucking with the character and none of the SF6 uploaders are putting out allot of her matches. It's okay though because when she gets her VT2 Kolin buffs I'll be eating.

I put so much of my heart and soul into getting good at SFV and I feel the same. I'll try my best to take it one step at a time but right now I'm not too concerned with getting insanely good. I've never played a fighter with this much depth before.

I haven't posted in a minute but these are my thoughts about 6/Lily after grinding over the weekend. When I played the in betas (all 3) I could easily tell that 6 wasn't like V despite some V shenanigans working in the betas. I got to gold with Kim in all 3 betas but I think it was through sure luck of the draw because Kim played the closest to a SFV character for me. I'm playing Lily right now and I'm honestly lost as shit on how to use the character at a basic level. She has 0 medium links her main target combo can't be linked from a light and her pressure is mostly built around condor spire going brrrr but mostly if you have winclad stocks up. Some of her corner routes are basically pitiful if you don't have multiple windclad stocks up. Allot of her combo potential is gonna be built around maximizing her DR combos. Which unfortunately for me I'm too retarded to do (Yes I'm grinding them out). Her main offense tool to get winclad stock up is to use st.HP,fd.HP,back.HP into medium or heavy winclad. If you space it you can sometimes avoid being punished and there's even the ability to set up a trade combo if someone pokes while doing it. However because it's not a true block string unless the opponent is in burn out you can just DI or parry the follow up. I'm not really a fan of lily's medium button just being pokes that can't be DR'd from and her cr.MP is only super cancelable from a DR extension. I'm fucking dog shit so I know I'm just not playing the character good but I do feel like while I like half of her tools some other parts have me scratching my head. I also wish she had an air throw. Also this is just a personal feeling but I definitely feel more "stuck" in fights in 6. I feel like when things are happening on the screen I can't just jump out of pressure or back dash or walk back. I'm gonna stick it out with Lilly maybe till I reach Gold 4 or Plat 1 and then play Manon and learn her. I'll see how I feel about this comment by the end of the month.

This character is getting fucking toasted this time next year. No way any of this stays unless he some how ends up being bottom tier. I’m really liking Lily. I think I can make her work. I was leaning on Manon largely because of how she looked but something about Lily’s buttons and easier hit confirms makes me think I can experience the game better. My only issues is I gotta learn how to churn butter because she’s got a 360. However it doesn’t seems like an integral component to her game plan because she can’t even get DR oki off it because even the EX version puts her too far away for that.

Did my final ranked matches against a strong Falke player last night and managed my highest points average than I've had since 2019. Had a ft20 with a long time rival and won it to cap end my SFV experience. I went into training mode to say goodbye Kolin and then deleted the game. It's been an insane 7 years and SFV means allot to me. Funnily enough I didn't feel sad when deleting the game, just melancholy. Here's to you Kolin and to another 7 years of SF.
