bittersweet Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 Figured we could use this as a general sort of fitness/health/gym thread to discuss workout tips, places to purchase protein, dieting tips, etc. Quote
Darc_Requiem Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 If I can find the motivation. I'll need to make use of this thread. bittersweet 1 Quote
bittersweet Posted May 9, 2018 Author Posted May 9, 2018 I know the feeling man. I've slacked off a lot on my previous workout ethic. Quote
misterBee Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 I started working out again. Never managed to get big in the past but maybe I'll do it this time. 👍🏼 bittersweet 1 Quote
Darc_Requiem Posted May 10, 2018 Posted May 10, 2018 Getting big isn't an issue for me. If I'm in shape I'm 225. I'm....not 225 at the moment. Quote

I'm just wondering because I'm 6'3" and according to the BMI, I'm overweight unless I weigh 200 lbs lol. Quote

I laughed my ass off. My dad was 5'6 180lbs when he was in shape. I was in the best shape of my life at 239lbs. Desipte weighing 42lbs more than I did in HS, I could wear the same clothes. Quote

If I don't work out I don't get fat, but instead just stay super thin. The goal for me isn't to lose weight, but to instead gain weight by building muscle. Quote

I was extremely active in my youth and then an injury took away the entire winter worth of physical activity my body grew accustomed to; but, my hunger levels never changed 😞 Quote
Darc_Requiem Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 (edited) I'm went back on a diet on Monday. Lost 35lbs last year. I was good for about 6 months, put 30lbs of it back on this year. I'm tired of looking like SFV Birdie, I want to be Alpha Birdie 😉 Edited June 22, 2018 by Darc_Requiem Pastrami, misterBee and DangerousJ 1 1 1 Quote
Pastrami Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 (edited) Been doing the 5x5 stronglifts program for about a month with a friend. A month ago he was complaining that we started with too light a weight, but that stuff adds up quick. We are about a workout or two away from doing the big boy plates aka 45lbs in squats, bench press and deadlifts which will be a first for me. Now my problem is eating enough food consistently. Shakes are my go-to, but damn does it get old drinking that sludge sometimes. Edited June 22, 2018 by Pastrami Darc_Requiem 1 Quote
