Dan is coming!

Yeah Mazey Day and the other supernatural episode stick out like sore thumbs. They were okay TV, entertaining but they did not feel like Black Mirror episodes.

@axeman61The new season is good. There are 2 great episodes there (Joan and Loch Henry) in there. The rest are good, but some of them veer into the supernatural a bit. All of them were very entertaining.

They aren't the same height, Dictator is slightly shorter than Claw. Dictator is 5'10-5'11. Sometimes he was listed as 6'0 like in the Alpha series. He is the shortest of the 4 Kings.

Yeah I made note of that earlier in the thread. SF6 can look really flat when not lit properly. SF5's models have some innate texture/shading due to the artstyle that makes the colors pop and feel alive. It's very noticeable in World Tour in some areas where you meet the masters and the area is not lit the way the fighting is. Also some of the stances and how the animate is like a noticeable downgrade. Like in SF5 you really get the sense in earlier seasons that the animators took their time with some of these (compare it to Honda for example which is almost static and one of the few stance improvements in 6). I think both games have "lifeless" backgrounds and some questionable lighting decisions. It will be interesting to see how the quality of characters and stages changes over the next 2-3 seasons.

SF5 has some better stances and animations. You can clearly see the style differences here. 5 is like an Alpha game and 6 looks closer to 2.

I think it's healthy to have annual celebrations of sexuality - gay and straight. I think it's completely necessary even. Americans are total prudes when it comes to this compared to Europeans. But once Rainbow Capitalism took hold and Pride tried to become "family friendly" to rake in the greens, there has been a clash between the old guard and the new shit on what it means to be "Proud". The original Prides were never intended for children, they were in essence non-violent "fun" protest marches by adults and for adults. This is why kinks and fetishes always found their way there because it was at its core a shameless celebration of human sexuality in all its colors. What's happening now is not in the spirit of Pride IMHO. It was the never the goal to have Pride flags in schools, or force people into the celebration. Don't get me wrong there is still much to protest around the world, but we have veered off course for the better part of a decade. I firmly believe it's because of the steroid of capitalism and corporations who hijacked the event and mutated it into its most soulless form yet.

" Now I've already predicted many black moons ago that S2 will likely contain some or all of the characters from the graffiti wall - Sakura, Bison, Balrog, Ibuki and Rainbow Mika. So it doesn't surprise me that these characters will start popping up in press releases, fluff pieces, toys, etc. as part of a discreet push from Capcom before the announcement next year. But this is something different.... Since when is Bison's backstory something that comes up? Once sure, but twice in the same month from two unrelated places? Are they really going to pull the trigger and tell us his origins?

Many years ago I imagined that the "Evil Ryu/Kage/Kairi/Evil Hokuto" narrative/gameplay function would be formally transferred to Gouken's Daughter in a future timeline. She joined to avenge Gouken's death (actual this time) only for Akuma to reveal to her that she was his daughter with Sayaka that Gouken raised to keep safe from him. Her ensuing fight with Akuma would bring out the devil in her. Very melodramatic but narratively I wanted to transfer all these floating ideas (Ryu's parentage, Evil Ryu, Ryu's potential love interest) all into an actual canonical character and quit playing what-ifs. Also a character that looks like Hokuto who is about the same age as Ryu would be badass.

I think if they add Viper or Rolento, D.Dark would become much easier. But I think Pullum is completely workable now. Just need to mod in her belly dancing music for the super. 😄 Did you guys see the Nightcrawler? It's really well done.

There are real people that believe in equality of outcomes regardless of merit. I don't doubt it's a troll but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't.

Hot take - Fuck Disney. Capcom Fighting All-Stars with modern/dynamic controls and famous faces from all its killer franchises (but especially the fighting games that are not Street Fighter) would sell like hot cakes.

I was just watching Pullum Purna's epic dance-til-you-die super and that EX games continue to be so ahead of their time. Now Manon has a dance super! I really wish Capcom and Arika would play nice and integrate the EX characters into the universe. In particular, I think Pullum, Skullomania, Garuda, and Doctrine Dark could be very unique additions still. If Capcom are also planning to retire Evil Ryu/Kage, and are not planning on pursuing Violent Ken then a new young SNH fighter could be warranted - Kairi would be perfect.

His SF4 ending implies otherwise. Vega had a vested interested in Shadaloo's survival. Aside from the instance of Vega letting Cammy go because of her insatiable beauty, Vega has never betrayed Bison's bottomline. Bison can make Vega young with his science. Urien may have perfected the human genome project after Shadaloo's fall (possibly with stolen tech), but at the time of Alpha and SF4, it was Shadaloo who arguably were at the cutting edge of gene manipulation for many years before the brothers took power of the SS.

I thought the episode with the two homies who end being virtual reality fuck buddies to be very real, and a clever exploration of homoerotica with new eyes. I agree about the rest of season 5 (they do get kudos for turning Head Like A Hole by Nin into a pop song). 4 was great though come on. I'll watch 6 very soon and let you know.

If/When Vega returns, having aged 10 years, do you guys think he would've gotten work done or is he aging gracefully? This is a serious question, because Vega sticking by Bison was in part because he wanted eternal beauty.

I posted a few pages back that Retsu and someone like Geki were in the finals of the Nayshall tournament and stood side by side with you and Bosch. So there is hope.
