  1. I'm sure she was pissed that another Disney project wasn't ready for her after the Black Widow movie. I don't blame her, being shorted Disney paychecks must sting.
  2. Long gameplay footage of Eastward, this game has great pixel graphics!
  3. I have plans to get a new PC this year so the Steam deck doesn't interest me now. It is tempting to have my whole Steam library portable without investing in a decent laptop, so maybe next year.
  4. Picked up a couple of games from the Steam sale. Snagged Octopath Traveler, The Messenger, and Annalynn, an interesting retro style arcade game.
  5. VGM Friday: Also, a video about the development of Cave Story:
  6. So her name is just a combination of the words dough and drop? Good grief. I look forward to the female versions of Doink the Clown and the Mountie.
  7. I didn't know she was subjected to that much insanity from the creeps that were associates and managers.
  8. The file size is over 21 GB. To be fair, Axl's stage appears to be the busiest stage in the game.
  9. I will start with Sol, Giovanna and I-No. I plan to try out Faust later.
  10. It sounds like the artist had multiple purposes for the copyrighted book and CD. Not just to create a portfolio of art, but to also sell it as clipart for a side hustle. Clipart books were big back in the 1990's (I have an ancient clipart book with CDs in my office that I still use for design). For this conversation, it is pretty photos for art and sale, such as taking a picture of a sunset and selling it for a postcard, advertisement etc. The use is of commercial nature or if it is for nonprofit education purposes The copyrighted work is highly creative or if it is fact-based Part of the entire original work was reproduced or just a part of it The reproduction reduces the value of the original work or has no effect Take your pick, any answer would be a great punchline for a joke.
  11. How Capcom used the photography is a slippery slope, as stated under the fair use of copyright law for photgraphy: When considering whether a reproduction of a work is fair use, the U.S. Copyright Act says “the factors to be consider shall include whether: The use is of commercial nature or if it is for nonprofit education purposes The copyrighted work is highly creative or if it is fact-based Part of the entire original work was reproduced or just a part of it The reproduction reduces the value of the original work or has no effect https://www.ppa.com/articles/copyright-law-your-rights-as-a-photographer Assuming Capcom had a hodge-podge collection of references, it would not be out of the question that Capcom had references similar to the photographer. A few years ago I worked on packaging for markers and I took photos of every tiled surface I can find. It would not surprise me if other photography exists of the same surfaces, whether it was for advertising or artistic purposes. An example is the "unique" door in the article, but that is assuming this door wasn't manufactured, a woodworker did not make dozens or hundreds of doors with the same design, or another person provided their own photo.
  12. Looking back on it, the framework for the women's tag division evaporated about a year after the titles were introduced.
  13. Why even bother having tag titles for the women at this point? Does Smackdown have only one women's match a week?
  14. No, it is just the nature of this thread to be less than 5% discussion about Street Fighter.
  15. I look forward to more discussions about anything except Street Fighter.
  16. An interesting vid revolving around Rare designing and developing Donkey Kong Country and Killer Instinct.
  17. It boggles my mind how busy Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts is, as if no one is willing to spend LESS money so they can make it at home. There is one Dunkin Donuts in my neighborhood that is so popular that the drive thru loops around two parking lots
