  1. I tend to agree. RTS games become much easier when you learn the shortcut keys: know to make teams of your units, know how to zoom to a team instantly on reaction, get back to base, etc. Learning the systems to quickly zip around the battlefield and react to changing circumstances is def half the battle. That aspect in itself, now I think about it, mirrors FGs. Still think FGs are tougher to get into, though.
  2. Side thought: while I take the whole Ken thing (as described by that cesspit's "leak") as likely a nonsense, Ken going through crap (as hinted by his model, art) and going off the rails could open up interesting interactions with his sister-in-law's husband c.f. being a family man
  3. Bruce Lee family forced to come out and say Makoto and Cammy's pants have never been under their jurisdiction
  4. it's very bleak, but it's a 4chan leak iirc? Immediate alarm bells. And didn't the same leak mention the "dog tags" were for Mel? And really, the chain thing around his neck doesn't look like a dog tag at all. I think we might well see a disillusioned Ken, an unfulfilled Ken, but not a broken down and out "lost everything including Eliza and Mel" Ken.
  5. Posting here as I reckon this thread really should be more of a thing:
  6. Unrelated, but positive: Edit: maybe even more unrelated than I thought, I'm guessing it's to do with Unreal given Epic Games' involvement.
  7. I'll def give Guile, Ryu, Chun, Cammy, Luke, Honda, and Juri a go while learning what makes the newcomers tick. That'll definitely be enough for a very long time, even if some are changed and I dislike the changes. I've always found something to enjoy in new mainline SF games.
  8. I got a Tekken friend REALLY into Blazblue with the autocombo system there (Chrono Phantasma, iirc) - once he got the timing and movement down, he was great, and ditched it. That's my hope for this implementation. Sufficiently weakened, but good training wheels.
  9. That was a rumour from when SF6 was in "troubled development" and internal testers disliked the game, iirc
  10. Can only hope that this is similar timing to a fully charged FA
  11. All the parries, counters, focus attack looking stuff is broken down on this page, under the drive system (sorry if been posted, thread moving quick) https://streetfighter.com/6/en-us/mode/fightingground.html
  12. World Tour single player mode: https://streetfighter.com/6/en-us/mode/worldtour.html "World Tour is an immersive single player story mode. This is a completely new experience that defies genre labels. Carve out your own legend on the streets! Look for more news on World Tour in the near future!"
  13. https://streetfighter.com/6/en-us/mode/fightingground.html Modern/Classic contro;l schemes... much more there. "Street Fighter 6 offers a new control mode to play without the need to remember difficult command inputs, allowing players to enjoy the flow of battle. Players who are delving into the world of Street Fighter for the first time, or those who haven't touched a fighting game in years, can jump right into the fray. Of course, the traditional control type of the series is still available for players who enjoy it." SURELY there'll be a penalty for "Modern"
  14. I'm cautiously optimistic, I liked what I saw. I hope the music obscured some of the audio feedback on hit - and especially block. Chun looks great!
  15. The way the char was hidden in hoodie, etc. makes me think it'll be some sort of create your own character mode perhaps.
  16. Heard the most popular German person at a party is often the party pooper 😞
  17. GameInformer interviewed Shuhei Matsumoto, Fighting Collection (and SFV iirc) producer and asked about this, and he gave a surprisingly honest answer. "GI: Does the inclusion of series like Darkstalkers, Cyberbots, and Red Earth increase the chance of a revival of any of these series in the future? Matsumoto: I genuinely want these titles to be played once again on current gen consoles. I also want people who may have seen them but never had the chance to play them to get this opportunity. That said, we do not think that this will necessarily increase the possibility of these series being revived."
  18. The ransomware leak Capcom suffered suggested they were planning SF6 to be multiplatform and cross-gen. Old data, and can't be trusted 100% though that a handful of stuff has been true (Monster Hunter Stories 2? On PC?) lends credence, I reckon. Edit: Sorry, Skort - I fucked up the quoting. I was agreeing with you!
  19. Is Jeff Grub a reliable guy when it comes to game news and stuff? He seems to think SF6 has a decent chance of featuring on next week's PlayStation State Of Play. When asked about a reveal at Evo, said "I think that they definitely go hard with SF6 at Evo. But I've heard that SF6 is getting its reveal sooner than that. We'll see."
  20. @Dayaanhave you asked @Mattatsuto play 3S? Not saying he's responsible, but...
  21. Holy shit! While I think Ganondorf may be the best one from those I recognise, they're all incredible. And I'm glad I'm not the only one here who fondly remembers Skies Of Arcadia. Amazing stuff
  22. I wish I could tell you. Nothing like this happens in the UK that I'm aware of, sorry.
  23. Not sure how this works, but just read that some Blanka Udon comic's part of Free Comic Day, assuming in the US/Canada, & thought it might be relevant to some folk here https://www.freecomicbookday.com/Catalog/JAN220042
