  1. I can play tonight. Still just goofing around with random characters. I'm in the mood to play the game, but don't want to grind it out with anyone but Rose.
  2. To be fair I don't think a lot of Kens would have as much success using it as a punish or anti-fireball as you do, your reactions are really fast. I remember when you first picked Juri vs my Menat, you chose v-skill 2 and I thought "Man I'm glad he didn't pick v-skill 1." Then the next game you did and I thought "SHEEEYIT"
  3. Sure I'll take a look, thanks. VT1 is too big brain for me though, if that's what it is. Right now I'm mostly missing punish opportunities or just getting mauled on defense.

  8. You can also EX command grab through those randomly thrown-out mirrors if they're closer. That was one of my favorites vs low level Uriens.
  9. I really like what this patch did for a couple of characters I like, Sakura, Cody, Laura (lol), but my head is still so wrapped up on Rose it's hard to get motivated to dig into them. Maybe I'll just try and play Menat again as a Diet Rose substitute in the meantime. If anyone feels like running some casual sets sometime this week, I'm up for it. I can wait patiently for the strive beta to finish.
  10. Dan has a normal that's back heavy kick. It crush counters the opponent into a crumple state. It's also a pretty solid anti-air. CC on anti air means you can juggle for more damage. Edit: Another one - Dan doesn't have a 3 frame, and his standing and crouching medium punches are both 6 frame start up. BUT he can counter hit combo cr lp - st mp - cr mp. And if you do those three as a block string, then cancel into ex Dan kicks, he's right back in their face +2.
  11. Trying Dan now, he does indeed have a crush counter. Medium and Heavy Dan kicks are -4 point blank, light is -5. But if you space them right, they're safe, and light Dan kicks can even be plus.
  12. Did Laura's ex shoulder always combo off of her light punches? Cause it does now.
  13. I'm in training mode now. Poison EX Heart Raid is only +1 on block.
  14. Sakura cr. light punch combos into ex tatsu now too. Amazing. And Ex tatsu is V-trigger cancelable, holy shit,
  15. Alex Meyers testing Sakura...her df roundhouse anti-air is legit. It's hitting almost behind her head. Combos into heavy dp.
  16. That's kind of what I was asking but I don't think there is much of that. I was hoping for a Hakweye from Marvel or Metera from Gran Blue type of character but I'm seeing that in the roster yet.
  17. I'll try Ky, Faust seems a little too goofy for me. Also I did not mean to disparage anime fighters. Let's just call them "fast games." I preferred to play zoners in a fast game like MvC3 as well.
  18. So I wasn't really interested in Strive until I played the beta and actually had fun. I'm still really not into the super fast, crazy mix-up based rushdown of anime fighters though, so are there any other zoning based characters in this roster besides Axl?
  19. I do hope we get the full balance change notes today, but I also have to admit I kind of love that short period of time where all we have is the Japanese version, and people are putting their heads together trying to decipher it like Indiana Jones discovering an ancient stone tablet in Latin.
