  1. Oh, is that so? I thought those games were all on the same version of unreal engine, but if Xrd alone is on 3 then perhaps it is different. I don't think Xrd would be competing with Strive at all, they target different audiences. If anything it would maybe take from +R , BBCF or P4A players, people who want games that feel like that era of ASW. On top of that most people who play the games with the intention to compete that might even prefer Xrd to Strive would probably still choose to play mostly Strive simply because it is a current game with support, patches, official tournaments, a high level of competition, etc. Really don't think it does much besides be a general GG advertisement to have Xrd rollback. If anything I'd bet the reason there isn't Xrd rollback is because they don't believe the demand is there, or at least not there to degree to justify the expense. I'd love to be wrong though, it would be nice to have Xrd with good netplay
  2. DBFZ getting rollback as I thought, not hearing the same from Grubble was weird but the weekend aint over so maybe theres hope for them The big deal to me though is IIRC, interviews made it out like getting rollback on ASW games made on the Xrd engine was not possible and thats why Xrd/Grubble/DBFZ couldnt do it. If this game can do it then maybe there is hopium for the hopeless...
  3. Melty changes are enormous, this is looking like a real game now If they fix the pc port i absolve them of their sins
  4. I'm feeling pretty confident that Granblue and DBFZ are getting rollback announced this weekend The Singularity approaches bros... soon people will just be able to play whatever it is they want to play
  5. Could you hook me up with the knowledge on how to get trustworthy steam sales numbers? I'm interested I'm gonna go boomer mode with you and say I don't think I like F2P as a fighting game model I wont try to argue anything against the strengths the model obviously has, it is clearly optimal for getting more players but as someone who's been playing this genre for a while maybe I want a game that has a full roster out of the box, a full selection of content/bonuses/customization that isn't locked behind a microtransaction, more than I want more players.... then again with the barebones release games like SFV had, on top of options for in game ads and plenty of MTX maybe we were already there and we just got suckered into paying full retail price for it and games with similar low-content launches LMAO
  6. i see a lot of people express that and dont really get why sure, the tower was not very good as a ranked mode, in that skill level at floors 10/celestial varied wildly within floors much less between them. You can also pick matches, dodge people etc which is wack for a ranked mode h o w e v e r the tower was great in that it put everyone playing in the same place, and had enough social functions to meet or target specific people in it. I thought it was pretty cool that I can see top players grinding and play them if I want/go out of my way to get specific character matchup exp. It was a flawed take on ranked in that it didnt really provide an actual rank to grind and had DIY matchmaking, but I think it was actually fantastic for trying to get better/meeting consistent players. I think it had more to offer than the bog standard netplay options and hope to see more like it in the future
  7. What kind of wack bluepilled post is this Its too hard to remember l m s ms? The button names that are in the game? MS has to be two letters instead of one and that's where people draw the line and break out the reality stone huh S m h
  8. every day striker grows more powerful, this character is hilarious
  9. Dem leadership does not give a fuck about these things, is the problem. Their game is to lean into progressive leftism when it's convenient and act like centrists the rest of the time to catch the elusive "average" American. They take the votes of progressive people for granted because that group has no other option, and spend all their free time being republican-lite so as not to offend the swing voter by looking "too" left. Democrats are not spineless they just play a different game. Republicans gain and hold office by bitching up the other party, dems gain and hold office by bitching up their constituents to gain more constituents
  10. There's also the possibility that sf6 is f2p I could see something like a rotation of free characters, 70 dollars for the whole base roster plus first wave of dlc, 50 for just the base roster, solo characters for 4ish dollars a piece... It probably is a "normal" release but idk...
  11. I love frame data changing in burnout, why would anyone be worried about it being fake depth or whatever? It being burnout it's all but guaranteed that the frame data gets worse, I can't imagine you gaining options in the penalty state. And that's a good thing because fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you for misplaying lol Earlier in this thread I saw comparisons to DNFs exhaustion, this is already looking nothing like exhaustion. DNF exhaustion is a slap on the wrist, I will gladly enter the "penalty state" in that game just to throw more shit on you that is so plus or extends a combo so long that it's over by the time you get to interact with me again. Burnout looks like an actual lose condition, where you not only lose system mechanics but also have worse frame data for a long, long time. It's also going to make it that much more impressive if someone can pull a win out from a round where they got put into burnout.
  12. The "first look" build we got of SFV I think was way further behind than this version of SF6 we've been seeing The first version of SFV they showed it just to show it, special exhibition, no further information. SF6 shows up playable to a bunch of people with a lot more clearly in place and seen, a versus screen, a character select, in-game movelists, a website that outlines a lot of game functions extremely clearly This game is a lot more put together than SFV was, I wouldnt worry about cut moves/systems going from what we saw this weekend to the final release
  13. A street fighter game where buttons feel good? Where you can... whiff punish...?
  14. They left us with a lot to chew but probably dont expect more till evo 😔
  15. Damn jamie level 3 goes less hard when hes sauced? that....makes sense lol
  16. Alright now I'm a little worried 1f parry that catches highs and lows? I was also confident they'd have rollback but I'm less confident that they can nail crossplay, especially with ps4 in the mix Capcom......
  17. I'm gonna hope that the loading time is bc they're playing on something that doesn't use a SSD
  18. Guile didn't have a choice bro, remember the lore Guiles wife is Ken's wife's sister, Eliza gets divorced telling Guiles wife about the single grind inviting her to the club and whatnot He couldn't be slacking our guy wasn't gonna allow himself to become ken the sequel
  19. They're giving people a lot of ways to play, which is gonna be sick IFFFF those ways are all viable. Do you pop level 1s every hit to optimize short term damage? Gamble on weirdo utility level 2? Or decide you want a round 3 checkmate? Between that and the drive system it feels like they want you to do... what you want to do
  20. Spin isn't even his dumbest move imo, that award goes to clone bc goddamn that move is dummy Also yeah crossplay coming soon, beta this summer
  21. The selectable face versus screen is pure SOUL Capcom making me believe in them
  22. Characters base movesets are probably going to return smaller/ weaker than before to account for everyone getting drive cancel combos. Can't forget that EX moves are also now tied to drive and that drive starts full at the beginning of the round, so EX moves might not be as strong either since you'll be able to use them more liberally
  23. Now that i chew it over they're gonna have to exercise caution with that parry lol If it's active frame 1 that would make it an insane defense option since it requires no motion and is cheap on resources since it seems to only passively drain drive meter. It also seems to continue to parry high and low moves, so one less thing to guess. Wonder if it eats crossups too... Yeah there's no way they let it parry on frame 1 that would be way too stupid having to deal with that while applying pressure. Hrmmm...
  24. Parry is definitely like a stance. I'd compare it to focus attack or sc6 reversal edge but instead of having a canned attack attached it just parries with the option to rush. I wonder how soon the parry is active, and what timing activates the just parry...
