Dune isn't weird to me. I grew up on weird scifi and fantasy as well as anime way too mature for my age. But in terms of mainstream ideas of scifi its Def weird. No space Jesus story will ever be weird to me lmfao

More or less why I'm surprised dune is doing so well. It's a weird fucking story... It's part of the really out there aspects of scifi. But I guess the 2021 movie does handwalks mainstream audiences through a decent chunk of the story so that's prob why it's done so well.

Twitter has to be the most weirdly designed app. You could be looking at 3 posts and suddenly it decides to refresh and now one of those posts you were reading disappears into the ether

If so then I use the fact I work as conventions to back up what I'm saying. Alot of posts on here are from a very online perspective whether it's Twitter or maybe some friends posts. When I offer a different perspective from cons it's a on the ground kinda way. Whether I hear voice actors talking, see for myself things that may differ... Ie. You aren't gonna see a bunch of kids cosplay non popular characters. They are more often than not gonna do what is popular. I don't feel it's a bias for me to say I see something different.
