I like COD. Don't hate. 😢 Lots of good stuff coming. I think I'll invest in an XBO-X or buy new graphics card for my living room PC. My desk system is a beast but the TV rig could use a bit of a boost.

Not in the arcade, but I did play it a bit later on other platforms. I think DOA2 on dreamcast was the most DOA I've ever played. ❤️

I wouldn't worry about the death of single player games. Some of the most anticipated stuff announced so far have all been traditional single player stuff. DMC5, Elder Scrolls 6, Starfield, Sekiro, Cyberpunk etc. Just because Bethesda is putting work into online spin-offs for some of its franchises doesn't mean the world is ending. 😄

I was pretty excited about that conference. I might buy a XBO-X at some point in the future. Orrrr I could just play these on PC. We'll see. 😄

I mean, I had a projector, movie seats, and surround in my basement at home -- I still went to the theater occasionally. At least right now even if you have a huge TV there is still nothing that is going to be bigger than the screen at a theater. No sound system as loud either. I think it's still worth it if I ever manage to get off my lazy ass.

I mean, these are persistent online games. There shouldn't be any expectation that they are going to have an offline mode. For people like me who like online games like this, this is great!

Mobile version did have a very thin colored strip underneath the username bar. I suppose I can add it back if it's a problem. Desktop version did not have this, since on desktop username is to the side rather than on top.

Yeah that Space Marine game was good fun. It's a shame there will never be a sequel to continue the story. =[ A lot of 40k games suck because they'll sell the license to just about anyone who asks. So many shitty Warhammer mobile games and whatnot. Very few gems. The 40k wiki and the novels are the way to go if you just want some good story content.

Don't need to play -- check out the lore some time though. It's crazy. But basically: Humanity enters a golden age, expands across the stars, then gets into a fight with its AI slaves and civilization is nearly wiped out. The emperor, who has been silently guiding humanity since the beginning of recorded history, decides to stop pretending to be Jesus/Santa Claus/whoever he has been masquerading as throughout history and reveal himself to the rest of the world. He decides humanity has been fucking up for way too long and he might as well just lead us himself. He creates 18 sons from his DNA who in turn lead 18 armies of Space Marines. They bring peace and prosperity back to humanity before half of his sons become corrupted by Darkness and a civil war nearly wipes out everything again. The day is saved but not before the emperor is wounded so badly that he's placed on life support basically forever. He's placed in a special golden casket and while in a coma uses what is left of his psychic power to stop dark gods from breaking through into this dimension. All of his sons are either killed in the conflict or disappear. Humanity, now leaderless, drifts aimlessly while trying to combat the monsters/aliens/demons that continue to move in from all sides. It's a pretty neat world/setting.

As cool as it is, the model maker within me thinks those toys are begging for a good airbrushing. All that flat color is really taking away from how good those toys could look! 😧

I always thought the whole alpha/beta thing was a bit silly. Being a wallflower has its problems but so does being an angry gorilla oozing testosterone. More people gotta focus on fixing the specific problems in their life rather than worrying about which 'template' they fit. I see so many people online going on and on about how other people are beta/alpha whatever and they're just as fucked as anyone else.

That reminds me - I could use a partner for learning DOA. (and playing Tekken) Where are you based and what times are good to play?

As long as DLC doesn't come to a total of 700 dollars again I'll buy it.
