This is pretty interesting. Matchups between 1700+ MR ranks. This looks like a standard SF6 tier list but a few things stand out for me. Dee Jay and Juri are a lot lower than expected. Dee Jay is usually seen as top 5 and Juri usually hovers around top 7 - but here they're both around mid tier. A.K.I. and Manon are much higher than expected, sitting around mid tier. And according to this Rashid is top tier and #3 overall. That last part doesn't surprise me as I've always been very high on Rashid.

He has those things but unfortunately they're just worse versions of what the top tier have. His DP is easily the worst in the game; has dead zones and can be neutral jumped on wakeup for a full punish. It also will randomly activate SA1 if the opponent uses a move that crosses ups Jamie and/or changes air trajectory like Ken's air tatsu. This basically spells the end of the round for him. His cr.mk is stubby compared to the other cancelable lows. Cammy, Ken, Ryu, Chun, Juri all have way better cancelable lows than Jamie. And the characters that don't have cancelable lows like DJ, Guile and JP are just way better in other areas. None of these characters have to give up oki to drink either. At the end of the day I don't think he's terrible and he's really fun to play. But there's a reason he's at the bottom of every tier list you see and also listed as a 'good matchup' in every matchup chart.

Interesting. I've been considering switching to leverless, or at the very least just trying it out. I've been using a TE2 for ages, and while I still enjoy it - every time I get missed inputs I'm wondering if I'd be cleaner on a hitbox. Only thing is they're quite expensive here in Canada which is the main reason I'm hesitating. One thing that drives me nuts with Jamie, that I thought would help with leverless is his cross cut DP execution. They can very easily accidentally activate his SA1 which means you lose a bar and he sits there break dancing across the floor leaving his opponent all day to do a max punish. It completely sways the outcome of the match and it happens often - even to the best Jamie's. Another thing is just walking and quickly blocking/dashing that would help immensely in the Guile matchup.

I feel like they knew people would buy the season 1 pass with the game regardless of characters. The only super popular character is Akuma being the big seller at the end. Capcom is saving the good stuff but at only 4 characters a year I'm legit worried that some of my favourites aren't going to make it to 6. Thank god for Jamie but I would like to play another character at some point.
