Yellow RC seems extremely important. You can use it as a sort of Vreversal in order to save the Burst for later. My issue is getting a blue RC when I want a yellow, and getting a purple when I want a red lol.

Yeah, never played +R myself but from what I gather he was all about the butterfly oki. In this game you're really only getting butterfly stuff off hard knockdowns from sweep and throw. I really wish far slash comboed into Fuujin because that's a great button.

Anji is fun but my initial thoughts are that he's a bit gimmicky compared to the other characters. My day 1 guess is that he's low tier - I haven't seen many top players using him. I'll probably keep grinding with him though. I found a combo that does 70% in the corner but you need to land a cr.HP starter and I haven't managed to do it once in a real match lol.

That's good you can turn off some stages. I'll just stick to the ones with no NPC's in the background. This is probably a non-issue on PS5 (just wish I could get my hands on one).

Anji because he is the closest thing to Alpha 3 Karin. Nago, Gio and Millia all look cool to me as well.

You have to buy the deluxe or ultimate editions to get the game 3 days early. Really not a fan of this - especially for fighting games where everyone wants to be playing Day 1.

Anyone know if you can switch the in-game BGM? Love the +R soundtrack and was hoping to listen to that in-game.

Unfortunate. Probably the game I'm most looking forward to - but in the end it's probably for the best. Wondering if the reason for the delay is the netcode, since SNK hasn't really worked with rollback before.

Yamazaki needs to be in this for me to get really hype.

Hurricane qualified for top 8 with 'nerfed' Cammy and he beat Tokido. Cheering for Bonchan or Luffy. Bonchan's Karin is S tier, and as a Karin player he's probably my favourite to watch - but you just gotta love his Sagat. Luffy would be nice as well since he's proving a lot of people wrong that vshift killed Mika.

I guess this is exciting if you're a VF5 fan but I was hoping for a whole new game.

Yeah, they're going to have to do something much more drastic to get players to pick it though. Or if they nerf VT2 by making it 3 bars but that might kill the character.

Sad they took away Dan's infinite BUT the way they buffed it with the random ex fireball is pretty clever. Like how he goes, "NANI?" when it comes out lol. Capcom has literally buffed Cody's VT1 every patch like someday players will pick over it over VT2. Note to Capcom, slightly extending the range of his normals and giving him a plus on block special does not equal access to a command grab, one of the best projectiles in the game, the ability to reflect projectiles, plus crazy advantageous knockdown setups and corner/midscreen damage buffs.

Old game good, new game bad. This reminds me of the time I was watching omito stream the strive beta and the chat was trying to get him to say how bad the game was compared to +R. And he was like "Strive is way better than +R". This wasn't the response they were looking for lol.

I feel the same for Menat which is why I think play for these characters tends to drop off the worse they are. People aren't going to put time into a hard-to-play technical character that is mid tier when they can just pick Cammy or Bison.

The fact he made top 8 with a relatively new character while apparently not taking the game all that seriously points to Rose being pretty good. I doubt she's bad, most likely at least midtier. Filipinoman said he thinks she is underrated by the community.
