I like world building as well. Last thing I want to watch is some speed run nonsense like the last season of Game of Thrones. Ahsoka, as far as pacing goes, gives me old school Dragon Ball Z vibes or to be less hyperbolic, it seems paced like a 22 episode television season. Which isn't good when your season is a third as long. It just have a bad feeling they are going to slow play everything only to have the last two episodes be chock full of events that get blitzed by due to lack of time. I agree that we need more of Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. Those two along with Huyang are the strength of the show for me. Although I feel episode 3 was Sabine's best episode. Well except for her shooting like a Storm Trooper 🙃 Edit: Just realized I made an unintentional pun 😂

I wasn't talking the EVO comic. I was referencing the SFV side story comic that seems to be A.K.I.'s origin story. My memory ain't what it used to be, so I'm not sure about her brother's fate. I remember F.A.N.G. giving a choice of a knife or a stack of cash which I thought he laced with poison. I know for certain that A.K.I. chose the knife. IIRC the knife had a snake on the hilt. She leaves with F.A.N.G. and her brother took the stack of cash and stayed behind from my recollection. Which if my senile ass has the right of it, means he's dead.

Having sex for money and enjoying it/taking pleasure in it are not the same thing. Maybe we'll see something from her showing otherwise come September 27th, but nothing shown for thus far indicates a sexual gratification component to her violent tendencies. Her primary trait seems to be obsession with her master following closely by poisoning people. Even in the EVO comic, only murdering Rashid and pleasing F.A.N.G. was on her mind. Even the the brief snippets we've gotten with her and F.A.N.G. are of father/daughter or student/teacher dynamic. There isn't the undertone of sexual tension that's present with how Sakura views Ryu. Edit: @ShakunetsuHaven't read the F.A.N.G./Phantom comic in a while, didn't her brother go for the poisoned stack of cash while A.K.I./Phantom chose the knife?

I love the fact that EndingWalker is cooking people with Ryu in SF6. It annoyed me how some people side eyed him for his success with Ed in SFV. The kid is an exceptional player. His rise reminded me of Idom's. Some young kid, giving people work with a character no one else is really having success with.

I have a feeling Ed is going to be a lot different in SF6. With Modern Controls being a default option, I think that's going to effect the input method of his moves. Honestly I hope they give him more boxing techniques.

A.K.I. makes Juri look like a well adjusted individual.

AKI's poison seems to be a combination of FANG's poison and Gill's retribution mechanic.

Taking pleasure in violence isn't that unusual in SF. Just like fighting unarmed isn't unusual in SF. Cody could not stop beating people up and got locked up for it. Akuma lives to fight master level opponents. The list goes on. Taking sexual pleasure from violence is however unusual and that's Juri's thing. A.K.I. isn't being seductive or making any sexual innuendos, she just like's killing via poison like her master. A master she seems enamored with. Sakura thinks she's too obsessive.

The A.K.I. and Juri comparison comes off as surface level to me. A.K.I. is an obsessive psychopath that lives to please F.A.N.G. Juri is a chaotic anarchist that serves no one but herself. Juri gets off from inflicting pain on other's like Xenia Onatop in Goldeneye. A.K.I. shows no signs of getting any sort of sexual gratification from the violence she inflicts. She's not seductive in the slightest. While Juri is taking selfies over her KO'd opponent, A.K.I. straight up murders her foe in victory animation.

Episode 3 of Ashoka was just meh. Little at all happened. And one scene was just plain dumb. Isn't the season only 8 episodes?

Yeah it was the grand prize. After that, combined with his level of play, we knew he wasn't full of shit. Honesty, I may be wrong, but I think it was "Tom Brady". When I first saw him on commentary for an NRS game years ago, I was like "He looks like the dude that cooked everyone at MK back in the day."

@DoctaMarioThat reminds of my arcade days. There was guy who claimed to be the MK2 champion. We all thought he was full of shit....at first. Dude never lost a game to anyone at MK, any MK at all (MK1-UMK3). He was so good he would let his opponent pick his character. He bodied everyone with Reptile in MK2. I remember the MK champion got a Dodge Viper. So I'm leaving the mall and I see dude get into a Viper. Wish I could remember his name. Best MK player I'd ever seen at the time. He kind of dropped off the map when MK4 hit. He didn't care for it.
