So, I got the game and I'm labbing characters. So far I've checked Ramlethal, Giovanna and May, which are the characters I'm interested as main. Ram because she got big mid-range pokes which is the style I like, Giovanna because she looks both cool and easy and I'm not used to how GG works, and May even though she wouldn't be a character I'm interested but she looks instinctively fun to use. Oh my God, May is actually so dumb. It's so easy to imagine running into someone new to fighting games and make him refund the game just by spamming fast dolphin it's actually frightening.

Fair. She needs it. How did that happen anyway? I know Chipp is made of wet paper, but surely not wet enough to die to a single super.

Ramlethal is a mid-range character that can zone with long normals and her specialty is pressuring people to death once she manages to drive them into the corner, she's also top tier and complained about so she can cover the ragequit thing. Otherwise Faust is not a top tier but is a weirdo character with even longer normals and uses random items as a main mechanics, which might be good to make unfamiliar opponents feel confused and annoyed, like Blanka does.

My first reaction upon seeing the thumbnail was to think "Oh, that girl looks cute". My second reaction was to check her name. "Chris" Mind immediately goes to an image of Chris Redfield. Damn you Japan and your androgynous pretty boys.

We have produced an environment where Tweets with less than 10 likes come out with an unironic tone of corporate apologies, everybody is completely aware that all of this is fake shit but everybody is still expected to perform because they're either forced to or interested in keeping the charade going. Capcom doesn't strike me as a company particularly into reboots, at least the Japanese side of the company. The only exception has been the DmC reboot and see how well that went. Capcom is more like the company that has never rebooted its more mainstream and more story-focused Resident Evil franchise, whose lore is just as tortuous and who doesn't even use a floating timeline like Street Fighter, so the incident of Raccoon City happened in 1998, RE7 is set in 2017, and Chris and Jill are probably close to their 50s at this point. Rose's line is maybe a suggestion that Zero 4 might happen, but even if something like that actually happens it's probably going to add to the existing story rather than rewrite it.

Advanced anime tiddy physics. You need a CERN-tier PhD in order to understand them, and Capcom also uses a CERN-like giant underground lab to test these advanced physics before releasing them as costumes.

And since we were talking about RE8 and Resetera, here's a random Resetera moment that I found entirely by accident. This is what hating horny makes to your brain:

I just played the RE8 demo without having followed the game much outside of hearing about big-tiddy 3-meters-tall vampire lady. My reaction is that I can't believe Capcom is just making Bloodborne 2.

I mean obviously. It's just unrealistic that the magician Italian MILF would walk into a fight and throw her magic balls and tarot cards with heels on. Come on man, we need some realism in my martial art game with fireballs and robot chicks with a cavernous man's voice. Man, they're going to be pissed when Akira inevitably gets a horny costume straight on release. "Horny" as in something they would consider highly erotic and sexual. Like, I don't know, something that shows calves. Ankles are already risque territory for them.

The CPT rules only ban costumes if they mess with the gameplay, like Gill's Pyron costume that has weird visual effects all over the place or Mika's cheerleader costume where she has pom-poms covering her hands.
