Ryoredcyclone looked up in his Japanese copy of How to make Capcom fighting characters and found that the Asuka detail indeed WAS in the original. The only thing they added in the English version was the clarification "from Evangelion", evidently because they simply felt the need to make it clear which Asuka was for the Western audience. So the book is effectively the same, and the conclusion is that Capcom just added some details since CFN times (because that Asuka cosplay thing WASN'T in the original site description, I looked up as well and also didn't remember translating it). Damn, now I want that book...

Anyway, she can't be Irish. She's redhead, so of course she's Italian. ALL Italians in SF world except Rose are redheads, full stop. 😛

No demons involved, it doesn't do more damage for accumulated sins. It doesn't even implant ki into the body to make it explode like JP.

I'm not even the biggest Akuma fan, but he looks fantastic. I'm loving the details and aesthetic push he's gotten. Someone on Twitter pointed out that for some moves, his entire face darkens. I love that Capcom is overhauling so many things, that's why I wanna see more SF3 folks, I can only imagine how cool they'll be under this direction!

They decided to add the full script to the SGS form Ryu Final

I actually made an Ingrid concept a few years back that did that. I only did it because I have so much respect for @Miðgarðsormand he's a fan of Ingrid. If this man can translate lore from multiple languages for the story thread. I could put the time and effort into an Ingrid concept. Also he helped me with the Icelandic. He's to languages what @CESTUS IIIis to character creators. The best.
 

 

In case nobody here watched the Capcom Highlights stream, Nakayama confirmed the name of Akuma's cave stage, Gokuento, in which it's set in the same location as his Alpha 2 stage, which was also called Gokuento.
