  1. Yeah, you'd think he'd mention it more. But the game isn't even mentioned in his twitter bio or pinned tweet. Like, can you at least pretend people might get the game at some point?
  2. He (Grummz) is as serious as a grifter can be. As in, whatever brings any shine to him. In terms of digging into his grifts for entertainment, he seems to be a gift that keeps on giving. According to this tweet, dude's selling "founders packs" for his "totally going to come out at some point" game EM-8ER at insane prices: It's fun to laugh at the grifters, but I sometimes get sad (or laugh harder, it's a mixed bag) at people he milks who take that kinda shit seriously. EDIT: BTW, he goes all the way in on the game/grift in the thread that tweet is a part of. That's not it by a long shot.
  3. Am I being an idiot with Ticketmaster? They recently changed their site to ONLY show stuff in your location. Nothing x miles out if there's nothing by you. Instead, in the "nothing by you" case, you get a list of EVERYTHING in a category, and you have to search stuff down. Am I missing a button somewhere? Only way around this is to just pick different locations by me. I have no clue why they thought this would be a good idea (assuming I'm not doing anything wrong).
  4. Maybe it WAS intentional, but they meant to invoke the Hard Rock Cafe. Only thing I can think.
  5. And has a game he's (allegedly) working on and got kickstarter money for. Yet, he spends all day on this shit. It's hilarious. I was looking for a new "make me feel better by just existing" dude to laugh at ever since the dude who led the charge against Shane Gillis (Seth Simons) went private years ago. This Grummz guy is filling those shoes nicely.
  6. No. I guess my area's just bad. My insurance went up 60 bucks the second I moved. Been steadily going up since then, and I haven't even been here a year yet.
  7. My insurance (Progressive) just raised their monthly rate yet again by 60 bucks. Is every insurance blowing up thanks to inflation or is it just them?
  8. Ever since the last little kerfuffle we had over digital faces here, I've been peeking in on this guy just to laugh here and there. He hasn't let me down; he talks about dumb shit like this all day. But this feels like gold. If you EVER want to know what a persecution fetish is, it's like god/the universe shaped the perfect example above. I feel sad for anyone waiting on whatever game he's working on. Even if he was closing in on a release date, there's no way this terminally-on-twitter dude is giving you something good.
  9. He HAS to be playing to the crowd at this point, right? This is intentional, right? There's no way you're this ass and making up excuses for this long just on your own. His audience probably doesn't even want him to get good anymore.
  10. That's Harry Potter though. People know and love Harry Potter no matter what JK Rowling did. All I see about Stellar Blade is ass/titties and a bunch of clowns praising it just because the MC is hot.
  11. I wonder if this retarded-ass "debate" is going to impact Stellar Blade's sales at all. I'm like 95% "no", but having your game get mostly talked about by a bunch of losers b/c titties and ass can't have a good effect. Seems like that shit is all I hear about this game, and it seems like the devs had nothing to do with it besides designing a hot MC.
  12. I WANNA be super happy about that, as I loved Hades 1. But we're still years away from 2 coming out for consoles at this rate. Maybe I'll do a first and try it on PC.
  13. Stuff tends to do better and stay in public consciousness more when it's week to week. Binge shows are forgotten about soon after, unless they're really good. That's my take on it anyway.
  14. There would be a big negative reaction to, say, Chun-Li or Cammy showing up fat the next game. You would get "fat shaming", I'll admit, but a whole lot of "why does it matter" would be replaced with "I'm going to wait until the game drops" or similar stuff. There is a certain beauty or coolness standard for certain established characters, and drastic changes like adding 1-200 pounds just cause is crazy. And it's also not at all what's happening. What's happening now would be the equivalent of a bitch fit over the scar on Cammy's face being a slight bit bigger the next game. Hell, that might be a bigger concern, because then at least it's obvious what the change was. That's why I'm asking "why does it matter"? You going into all these other examples (like Birdie) and making it bigger than what it is still doesn't get at that. I disagree that there's this wide concerted campaign to make women less beautiful in western games. But even if there were, how do the "changes" people are claiming (either between games or between model to game) make any differences? You're acting like this is some real "slippery slope" shit or a big problem when it's not.
  15. You never got "why does it matter" for Birdie because it's a drastic change. It's understandable if people are split on his look. The shit these face-gaters are on is not drastic at all. They're acting like it's Birdie in SFV when it's not even close. That's why you get "why does it matter" there.
  16. Also, he's 56 (born 1968). I just saw that. I know that should mean nothing, but to me it's extra funny that a dude in his mid-fifties is on twitter all day crying about DEI and face models when his crowd funded game gets glacial updates and is likely years from being complete even if he is working on it.
  17. To the maybe one or two of you who know who Joyner Lucas is, tell me this isn't some shit he would do.
  18. I can go to the same social media, sales, or youtube you do to see that you only speak for a few people in comparison to everyone else. Again, I don't know what hug-box you're in, but most people do not give a fuck about this shit. I happen to be one of those people, and truly can't understand those who do. It's why I asked in the first place. Wrong. MK11, the last game, sold 3 mil by the end of 2019 (the year of it's release) after an April release. MK1 has sold over 3 mil now, 6 months past release. Not "way less". https://gameworldobserver.com/2023/11/09/mortal-kombat-1-sales-3-million-copies-vs-other-mk-games Spiderman 1 sold 9m units by the end of 2018 (the year of its release) after dropping in September. Spider-Man 2 has sold 10m to date after dropping in october. It has been a slower climb, but still not "way less" than SM1 by the same time out. Horizon 1 sold 7 mil its first year, and Horizon 2 sold 8. Again, not "way less". Horizon Forbidden West is the only one of these that's been out more than a year (vs the predecessors, which have been out 5), so I'm doing first year sales. And also, even if you were right and sales had a major decline, linking that to "not as hot/appealing as I'd like" faces in any way is crazy talk. It's just stupid to suggest the game would fail even partially because of the heroine's face vs literally anything else people are talking about with that game right now. And again, no games are failing because of this type of shit. I'm not. I said the fixation on a VG lady being hot is weird. I said I could understand if it was a dogface or something drastic, and this shit people are flipping out over just isn't drastic. This is not just "aesthetics in games", it's "I only deal with the finest digital bitches". You can keep your money and avoid any game you want because a lady (main or not) isn't as hot as you think she should be. That's fine. But to prattle on about it sounds childish to most people. I can't help that. And that's not arrogance (at least on my part). It's just me having grown out of that by 13.
  19. The thing is, literally everybody agreed that ugly sonic was a nightmare. That's why they changed it. Only a small portion of people on the internet think that the "face-gate" girls are ugly period or ugly compared to their model. That's why they just get eye-rolls from most people.
  20. Because: 1.) There's debate, even here, on if there even were changes in the first place. 2.) If there are these tiny differences between model and character (for regular characters that should be 1-1), they could be for a multitude of reasons relating to gaming engine. 3.) Again, even if there were these changes, we're talking changes where people debate if they exist. That lets you know they're not serious. Why are these non-serious changes grinding to you personally? If they changed it, what do you get out of a game where the in game model looks a little more like the face model? 1.) Don't let whatever echo chamber you're in fool you: most people do NOT give one thrust of a fuck about this, or see any "pattern". People were crying a little over Tanya's face in MK1. MK1 still sold. People were crying over Mary Jane in Spider-Man 2. That game still sold. People were crying over Aloy's face. Forbidden West still sold. Even on social media/youtube, if there are problems brought up with those games, it has NOTHING to do with the faces. This star wars game will be the same. Whether it bombs or sells well, nobody will give a fuck about the heroine's face at that point. 2.) Art style is one thing; this fervent need for a video game girl to be hot is another. It doesn't affect gameplay, which is why most people don't care about it. And plus, the girls aren't even unattractive (to most people). I could see if they made somebody into a real dogface when the model is a hottie. Or, like, made Mary Jane a white Zendaya in Spider-Man 2 for no reason. But this is picking over tiny differences that, again, most people don't care about. So why do you care about them?
  21. I'm curious, and I want to get past the "to each his own" stuff: what does any of this matter? I'm not being sarcastic; what does any of this matter?
  22. The crazy thing about this whole mess is that it does not fucking matter whatsoever. It's puddlegate, only more pathetic, since puddlegate at least stopped when Spider-Man 1 came out. I could see some bitching over things if differences between games (or models and characters) were drastic, but people are bitching over differences that are not major at all. Hell, even if the gaming industry WAS undoubtedly making women less attractive in gaming, does that affect gameplay at all? Does it take people out of the story? The overwhelming answer seems to be no. I know for me, a woman being finer would not have moved the needle one mm on any game I loved/hated over the past 20 or so years I've been gaming. That's why this whole thing baffles me: I literally can't imagine a man over the age of 18 giving a fuck about how hot video game girls are. That is, unless it's an affront to the character somehow. All the stuff people whine about so far hasn't been.
  23. Yeah, I don't know much about DEI, but invariably, someone screaming about it on twitter is a racist or sexist loser. It's starting to take over "woke" in that regard.
