Isn't the basic version with cloud saves like 60 something bucks a year? I can understand not finding value in it; the free games month-to-month are lame most times. But if you have a variety of games you put a lot of time into, I could easily see value in that.

I both agree and disagree. Yes, it is on the fans to stop buying. But we can't discount just how much devs (on behalf of publishers) fuck with the game in order to push people toward the micros. Or they fuck with the game to help everybody who might buy them vs the rest. Most pubs can't do lootboxes anymore, but they can taint matchmaking every way to put you up against people with the new shit, make things a grind unless you buy micros, or similar devious tactics. You see no better example of this than in Call of Duty nowadays. The biggest thing people complain about is Skill Based Matchmaking being cranked into overdrive. But the primary reason they cranked it is to protect the new players so that said new players might buy micros. When the community has really had enough, they'll just switch to some other tactic. So, yes. People should stop buying micros. But these pubs are trying everything possible to push people toward them, so even that simple solution isn't that simple.

Always found it hilarious that Conservatives are the first ones to say "we don't care about celebrities or their politics", but will hump a fucking hole into the leg of ANY celeb (no matter how famous) that agrees with them. It's why most conservative comedy/comedians suck now, because they're really just pandering to the audience instead of being funny. Because that's all they need.

Horror is easier to make than other stuff. That goes for movies and games. Fans just want to be scared, and that's relatively easy, as what's scary isn't as subjective for most people as what's, say, funny. It's way more achievable on a sensible budget too.

It's sad that this is where my mind has been thinking about Jonathan Majors, but: I think he's a bigger bag fumbler than Gina Carano. She's finally been beaten. At least in the halls of Disney. Gina Carano - even if she didn't fuck things up - was likely never going to headline a Disney Star Wars show, with how much they've been announcing shit and cutting it later. Plus, she's still going to be alright, as she's in a casino money family. Majors had what was likely an 8 figure deal to be the marquee villain of the MCU for a stretch, and threw it away doing dumb shit. Yeah, they didn't set Kang up right, but there was still time and the money still spends. Now this dude has to settle for being King of Tubi IF he has a career at all. He can get roles a few years into the future, I think, but they'll NEVER be on the Marvel/Disney level.

I kinda get what he's getting at; Kratos has matured A LOT for someone who did the shit he did in GOW3. But still: is Kratos supposed to just be a stab-happy murderer forever? Wouldn't that get stale?

I get that we don't know what hell they went through to make this game on this old engine, but if that video is any indication, their design is still crazy outdated and people are going to call a spade a spade. There are games doing stuff better than them on just about every front now.

This year, I turned as old as my mom was when she had me. That fact popped out of nowhere to really fuck with me on my birthday (my salary at my current age is probably what hers was at that time), but I got over it. But yeah, these "milestones" can creep up on you.
