I live in Canada, but yeah, our matches are always fine… well last weekend had some weird slowdowns going on, but that was really the only time I’ve had much issue with the online in all of the online matches I had (probably logging on for like 20 different play sessions)

Rogue has one too. Not that I think it matters - I just consider it “anime” game. Mostly for the fact that I like anime games because of how their speed and movement reminds me of MVC2 and not a typical FG (SF, MK, etc).

I’m going to consider it anime. It has super jumps, air dashes, and beams that take up 70% of the screen.

Yeah, that was like me. I pre-ordered it cause the movement and combos looked awesome, but I read all the complaints about shield and never gave it much of a chance. Then I heard about the post-Evo patch and decided to finally boot it up to try it and have been having a blast. shield isn’t nerfed into the ground, it’s still very much a thing (from what I’ve seen), but it’s not as rewarding as it was, and I believe most characters got more tools to punish it. The last patch was really significant in that it also have characters new moves and properties to their moves - making them also have a lot more utility and combo options. It’s a really open game mechanically and it’s very fast.

I only started playing it after Evo, so I’m still learning and have only hopped online once, but I’m liking it a lot. it’s my favourite anime game since Xrd (and maybe even since MVC2).

Yeah, Samsho and Melty are my main games right now. Really loving both. I do really want to play an MK game though, but not sure which one… Been meaning to try MKX again but liking the other two games too much

I’ve been labbing for the last few days and really like the game but I have no idea what’s going on mechanically. The game’s tutorial is pretty terrible IMO. I’m using my stick with this game, which I thought for sure would be a Hitbox game, but a stick feels better to me, especially for aerial movement. What are you guys thoughts on disabling rapid beats? I’ve read that disabling them makes block strings easier (don’t have to worry about going into an auto combo), and tbh, doing auto combos is not fun for me and I hate doing them… I am definitely aware I’m putting myself at a disadvantage disabling them though, as mashing into combo will become more challenging, I’ll drop my combos, and it seems like auto combos have some additional normals to guarantee the combo at nearly any range that I can’t seem to access without auto combos (this is at least true with Akiha). I like the A+B option as well, but wouldn’t want it to interfere with the dash macro. The game is really fun though, and probably the best anime game I’ve played since Xrd (imo).

Was thinking of buying her too when I just saw she was on sale… I don’t even play the game, but we’ve been babysitting our nephew lately who loves DB but hasn’t gotten into FGs much, and I’m wondering if this game could change his opinion edit: I know she isn’t an actual DB character though, but I also just buy nearly any FG content (game or DLC) I can as long as I can find a microscopic reason to justify it lol

Yeah, I’m pretty sure he was arguing with you when that came up. TBH, when anyone one here is arguing (not debating in-game stuff, but like actually arguing) I tend to just skip it as best as I can. in that instance, I remember playing games the night it was happening and mostly ignored it. I do remember when he said that though (I wish I could remember what he said tbh, but anyways) and essentially the argument ended as a few others laughed at him for it. And I’m pretty sure I didn’t see him after that except for one post several months later, where he seemed like he still had a chip on his shoulder (iirc anyway).

Not sure why GetTheTables stopped posting but I talk to him sometimes on Discord. He’s not really playing fighting games that much from these days. Ryles sounds like it could be a few different people, but I suspect you’re either talking about Relusion or the “Ryll Shit” dude. No idea about the latter, but Relusion is very active in Twitter - not sure why he stopped going to SRK (I think he left before we moved here). And if I recall correctly, Dime left losing some argument, noticeably losing because he called some country/island (that was most definitely not in Central America) a part of Central America… I could very well have the details wrong (this was like 3-4 years ago), but everyone busted his ass for it and I haven’t seen him since… actually, I think he did one long post a year later and I think he mostly just talked shot and bounced lol
