  1. No you're given a male hamster as identified by it's sex (biological). Gender is a social construct usually based on appearance. Cycle back to the 1700s and wigs, tights, and high heels were all considered part of the male dress code. Exactly. Because if you go to the hospital they need to know your anatomy as to why you are there (e.g., identify as male but being treated for ovarian cysts). I have a friend of mine who works in the health informatics space and its become very apparent that SEX is the operant wording. The point is that the two aren't the same.
  2. The point of reverence is exactly that. If you are 50 and say you're 8. Someone could identify as that, but most would look at it as asinine. The key is the word you used; gender. Gender and sex are not the same.
  3. Yup. Many of my conservative friends are calling this a joke yet the State is honoring the "fetal heartbeat". It's put you in a corner where a benefit extended to parents has now been expanded. "When you pray for the rain, you gotta deal with the mud too" -Robert McCall (The Equalizer)
  4. Someone in my feed posted that this movie is revisionist . It's become a thing to hate things. When she started speaking that BS
  5. You don't have to do so. It's a respect thing. Let's be honest though, there is a certain level of reverence for that statement. Being called a "god" vs. being called "she" are not the same. There are levels to this. Note that people are honestly free to deny your said assertion. See the last sentence. How does that feel?
  6. How? Agreed. Sexual dimorphism is an actual thing. If we continue down this track, we need to rethink sports as a whole. Then the result would lead us pretty much right where we are.
  7. Yup https://sneakernews.com/2021/01/20/nike-air-force-1-canvas-db3541-100-release-date/
  8. 2015 final result 2022 (Incomplete) It has come a long way 🤣. Granted, Menasor's trailer is doing 90% of the work, but it's far better than the Combiner Wars figure.
  9. I actually told my wife about this. I have zero intention on ever putting pronouns in my profile. I am more than happy for someone to make that assumption. It's not like like inference is a bad thing. I never really understood why people really give a shit. If it's impacting your mental faculties because someone wants to be called something else, maybe get yourself checked out. Personally, I just give the Kanye shrung and honor the request. My issue is when you get pissed because a person infers improperly based on the textbook definition. Give people the chance to be informed.
  10. That 3 ep premiere is either a good or bad sign. I'm at the point now that if it doesn't keep me engaged in the first ep, I will come back at the end of the season. There are better things to do.
  11. I feel this so. I mentioned that to someone that you're ok with one thing, but when it's culturally relevant to you, then it's a problem. Sidenote- Radical Left and Right Wing may have been one of the more memorable characters in Venture Bros.
  12. I had to really think about early memories. The sitcoms were mainly me just being in the room. G1 Transformers Night Court ALF Mr. Rogers Cosby Show
  13. Same here. I bought the JP sets some years back. The only one that I couldn't get through was Headmasters. The fact that was the case is honestly what saved the franchise. Beast Wars got an award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation in 1997 (which is hilarious looking at it now). If you do plan to watch the netflix series, watch it at 1.25x speed (no I am not joking). Everyone talks like they are catching their breath.
  14. I really didn't care for Siege. I liked the concept, but the voicework was trash. The story really didn't grab me. I didn't even watch the last two parts. As far as some of the other TF series; I did enjoy Masterforce and Victory. Transformers: Masterforce Transformers:Victory
