  1. Here lies the problem. This requires an "explain it like I'm 5" for me to understand how this is possible.
  2. The production of energy is responsible for most of greenhouse issues. I'll agree that we have to find a way to make it more efficient to the production (e.g., most of the solar energy production is inefficient because of thermal loss). The tech can do it, but we just aren't there yet. Another issue is highway infrastructure repair. The gas tax is used to fund a fair bit of these projects. Once that revenue starts to dry up, what's next? That's my exact issue. It's gonna be a hard sell to know there is built in obsolescence. This could potentially wind up being like the light bulb "cartel" with battery manufacturers. The one thing people don't realize is that at this point, domestic and foreign cars are one in the same given the supply chain. Companies build specs and a manufacturer fabricates it. Whoever controls that space is gonna control the market.
  3. I understand the point, but I'm certain profit margin factors into this. My biggest issues with EVs are the battery since they'll get tossed at some point. If this is an eco-move, we need a way to conquer that problem. Otherwise, they are a better long term solution to mobility.
  4. Pulled the intake to get to the MDS solenoids. Took an honest hour to do so. The bad one was toast. Resistance for those units is supposed to range from 10-12ohms. The bad one was at 3. Checked the other three and were within spec. True, but it's negligible. The 5.7 can easily run into the 400K mile range if well maintained. The goal is to just get it back into spec (for now). I can tune it out, but if I am gonna do that, I want to add a few more things. That said, the intake and the valley are pretty cruddy. Not super bad, but you can tell it's got some mileage. I got new gaskets for the manifold and EGR valves. Took a vacuum and got any loose dirt out. To say it's got over 250K on the dash, I'm pretty impressed.
  5. Looks like I don't have to use Tubi anymore to finish JoJo Part 5. All 6 parts are available on Netflix.
  6. I'm with you. Money is a means to an end in our current society.
  7. Somebody gotta do the Street Fighter 2 victory screen with that 🤣
  8. I hope this doesn't give anyone the idea to create a line of "Sex Pistols".
  9. Here it is. My new (to me) 2006 Dodge Durango Limited 4 x 4 with the 5.7L Only thing wrong with it is the MDS Solenoid on Cylinder 6 isn't activating (which just means it stays in V8 mode). That's just taking the intake manifold off and replacing it. Not much aftermarket support for this year, so that makes things interesting. Belonged to on older gentleman who drove it from NC to Tampa all the time. I got all the service records for the car, so this was a steal. A little over 2K for it.
  10. I think it'd be nice to do it on occasion. I do think that for most of us, this is here to stay. Most people gained 2 hrs out of the day just from working at home. Cherish the moment. I get up with my crew once every couple of months when I travel back down to SC.
  11. Thank you for saying what's I've been thinking since I read that 😂
  12. May have found my project car. It's a big girl 😂. I'll post pics once the deal is finalized. I am sticking with the Mopar family though.
  13. They either been in that store waaaaaaaaaay too often or were employees. They were way too organized 🤣
  14. Based on the charge, at minimum they have to serve life (30 years) without parole. The point of that channel is to give a reaction from something silly. People say something stupid, it gets a reaction. That would be like asking Charlamagne the God to stop doing Donkey of the Day because "insert X politician" keeps making gaffs. They could stop this by practicing what they preach. I was expecting Bryans to get off frankly. I agree, there is no reason for this to have occurred. The only way something that would allow a more permanent punishment is by video evidence.
  15. This is one that I could actually see happening given the story of how it was "acquired" https://www.history.com/topics/us-presidents/mount-rushmore-1 Snippet from the article. While I was working with a number of tribes in the northwest, there is a lot of disdain for that monument.
  16. Or maybe that 200mbps connection from Spectrum ain't all it's cracked up to be.
  17. It's getting phased in it seems. I started seeing it on a few videos once it was announced. Now it's pretty much everything at this point. It's been a while since I have seen a meme this accurate 🤣
  18. What a great time to remove the "THIS IS SHIT" counter The topic is one thing, but this seems like it was written by a 12 year old that just learned how to use sentence enhancers.
  19. So Google really did remove the dislike counter. It's stupid for a data company to remove such a useful data point. . . but feelings I guess.
  20. Easy Recommendation- Pixel 6 MKBHD Review - Note that he reviews the 6 and 6 Pro Almost a month in, possibly the best smartphone I've owned. Easily the best value since my Nexus 6P. edit - With Black Friday sales happening now, Some places have the phone for less than retail. MSRP is $599. Another really solid contender is the Pixel 5a. Note that with the 6 out currently, the $200 difference isn't that large of a gap based on performance. If you are on a budget, that's another really solid option.
