  1. When you run into one of these Ryu's it's like the scariest thing ever because you have no idea what's going on in their head.
  2. Yeah, I hope she comes back and they base her on the SF5 design. SF5 Poison was a huge upgrade from SF4 Poison in both looks and gameplay.
  3. I was going to say that looks nothing like Juri's body, it reminded me of Mika instantly. That said, I ain't complaining.
  4. SFV was actually pretty lab intensive but I agree with what Sonero said that the things to lab were just kind of boring. Like practicing meaty timings and how do I not die to this character's V-trigger - are not what I would call stimulating. As much as SF4 gets hate for vortex and unblockables, I found myself spending and enjoying my time in training mode grinding setups and execution. I get that that's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think having a deep game is good for its long term health. Similarly, SF6 is looking to be more lab intensive with all the drive mechanics, plus the extra tools they've added to training mode will actually encourage people not to ignore this stuff. Two thumbs up from me.
  5. Yipes for like one month and then shut it off. No one else has a chance.
  6. This is amazing. First that there's actually a ranked mode lol. Second they actually listened to our complaints all these years. Capcom is knocking this out of the park.
  7. I thought so too. It looks the same as 7. That said, 7 looked good.
  8. Yeah, that is insanely tough to pull off. He's essentially doing one frame links repeatedly.
  9. I'm surprised she's listed as short range. Juri has always been a midrange character. Maybe she's more rushdown oriented in 6.
  10. Kimberly looks pretty cool. Probably won't end up playing her because I'm not into bushinryu characters - but she'll be fun to watch in tournament.
  11. I think it works. I've used that name for RPG characters as well.
  12. SFV took a turn for the better as soon as Takayama and Matsumoto took over. They've righted the ship and the game is now in a really good place. With those two at the helm Capcom's fighting division looks to be making a comeback. SF6 has received positive reception so far and every indication points to it being a fantastic game. I have faith that if Capcom were in charge of CvS3 it would be a great game.
  13. I was surprised he said that knowing Max is a huge Capcom fanboy. SNK made SvC Chaos and from what I know that game wasn't that great. Capcom made CvS2 and it was the pinnacle game. I'd be fine either way but I'd probably prefer Capcom make CvS3.
  14. That fact there's even a possibility of CvS3 is amazing. I thought the chances of ever seeing a new CvS game were lower than Darkstalkers. Capcom seems a lot more willing to work with other game devs and that's encouraging for the future.
  15. I don't think it plays like SF5 at all. Only similarity I can see is the punish counter acting somewhat close to crush counter on whiffed DP's.
  16. They actually put a character in this game named "mash" 🤣
  17. None of my mains from previous SF's are in 6, so I'm going to have to look elsewhere. So far it's Jamie since I love Yang and his moves were inspired by the Twins. AKI definitely looks cool and I'm with you - she needs to not play like FANG for me to give her a look. The old man with the cane has an interesting design as well. As far as DLC I want: Yun/Yang Cody Karin Sodom Rolento Elena
  18. Certain moves in SF have juggle points and the combos are pretty short anyway. I usually just copy what I see the pros do. DNF Duel on the other hand drove me nuts trying to figure out why characters were flipping out of combos.
  19. Yeah, I completely ignored the game but then watched some of it at Evo and it looked fun. Apparently a lot of the earlier issues with shield have been fixed and the game seems to be in a good place now.
