And they ripped off Isla with Kimberly. I'm a Capcom fanboy but even I'll admit SNK has them beat in the character design department.

From the latest Game Informer interview: Since this is basically a lightning round session, most of their responses are short and poignant although the director talked a decent bit about the hardest Street Fighter 5 character to cut for SF6. "Personally, I wanted to get Cody in, especially because World Tour takes place in Metro City," said Nakayama. "He's an appealing character who matched the universe of the game, and we really wanted to get him in." Why didn't they put him in then? Cody could have been in launch roster and they went with Ed lol.

They need to announce an open beta to make up for this.

1) There's a cracked beta on PC. Some people here are playing it. 2) Juri doesn't have to store to get access to her projectile anymore. 3) Nobody knows the release date other than it may be coming in the spring at the earliest.

There's only a handful of characters in V that can do impressive stuff. Like some of the combos Sako does with Menat are eyebrow raisers. But yeah, in general SFV stuff is not that impressive. SF6 EVERY character will have access to cool stuff because of the system mechanics.

Would be great to see. I haven't played SF4 since 2016 and I miss it dearly. Capcom seems a lot less willing than ArcSys and SNK to do these things unfortunately.

Definitely not dead for me, still get a fair amount of matches. Although I have to set search to casual + ranked now and I tend to get to about 3 casual matches to every 1 ranked match. Also, I fight the same 3 characters: Alex, Ryu and Ken over and over lol.

It's looking to me like a spring release. February is too soon, they would have announced it already. That comment about only one major release in the first half is obviously RE4 Remake.

My brother just had his wedding in August and it was great. They did away with a lot of the usual traditions and just had people chilling outside playing drinking games and dancing. It was by far the best wedding reception I've ever attended.

Yeah, it started to happen in season 7. I'm surprised that season got a free pass from most people cause that's when shit started going downhill. All of the slow burn and buildup of season's 1-6 was thrown out the window so they could tie up loose ends. The last 2 seasons felt like a completely different show.

Forgot about the best anime game GBVS. GBVS 2 with rollback netcode would be the only ASW game to get me hype. I've given up waiting for the first game to get rollback.

I'm seeing very few if any complaints about SF6 so far. Literally, only a few people that don't like DI, some people don't like the music and heard a few people not liking the menu navigation. Seems like pretty minor things. I like that the system mechanics help mitigate bad matchups. The game is universally giving you tools that just aren't there in other street fighters.

I don't know what it is, but every time a new SF comes out you get these people that are like, "all those players from the previous SF are going to suck, get ready to play a real SF!". It's ironic coming from Sanford because his ego is probably one of the biggest in the FGC just because of a few minor things he did in 4. He actually spent the entirety of V's lifespan blaming the game, meanwhile all the other SF4 players just adapted. Same will happen with 6.

FT3 should depend on the game. SF should always be FT2 IMO. Garou they play FT3 and I never understood why. It is a faster paced game but still not that fast, and the rounds tend to be drawn out.

Can't wait to see a little girl smashing opponents into the ground with Mexican Typhoon.

That's what it was like early on in SFV. Two hits blocked, crossup. Rinse and repeat. BTW, I heard someone paid $3,800 for a beta code 🤣

I've seen plenty of times where pro's know jack shit when it comes to the game. Punk barely knows frame data. I don't think being pro makes that players opinion the gold standard.

I watched some of those matches and was like "this isn't the Samsho I remember". Those characters are zipping around the screen.
