Sounds like there were terms for subscriber counts post-sale, as well as a non-compete for X number of years. So now they have to try and keep sub numbers high enough to get the cash out. Maybe the buyers aren't as stupid as we thought they were.

Man I'm happy. I forgot how much I genuinely loved wrestling. Just how much it improved my life and gave me something to enjoy every week. I am really happy we have AEW. I don't know what the future holds, but I just can't watch WWE anymore. This is it for me. If AEW ever fails, I'm just done with wrestling forever. Wrestling when it's good is just so damn good. It's special. WWE made me forget that, it squeezed all the joy out of it. Honestly, fuck WWE. Fuck Vince.

They kept jobbing Bray out, he absolutely should have complained and I'm glad he did. WWE honestly sucks. I hope AEW drives them into near bankruptcy. I don't want AEW to be a monopoly either, but I'd much rather see AEW as the lead dog than WWE.

Haha man, it's like every troll internet argument. The dumb side first calls everyone else a nerd and attacks them that way. Then suddenly they switch tactics and they are the experts in the field, while still being verbally abusive. You can't reason with or have discussions with stupid people, they don't have the capacity to understand nor the desire to engage in any type of honest discussion. Everything is an argument for them where they marry themselves to whatever random position they've chosen, until they choose to change their minds. They are always "winning" the argument you don't even want to have, and will shamelessly state anything to further that. This is also the case for CSR for most companies where they insist on refusing to honor a warranty or admit an issue on their end.

Still remember the SRK threads where a bunch of us were enjoying Punk vs. Heyman weekly promos on RAW, man feels like a lifetime ago. Who could have guessed what would have been Punk's last feud in wrestling? I hope this hypes people up and we get some action in this thread every Wednesday and Friday night like back in the day on Mondays. I'll make sure to stop by and I hope I see a bunch of familiar names.

No Man's Sky is apparently getting another huge free expansion. 5 years since that debacle of a release I think they're one of the best devs in the industry. I haven't picked the game up yet but I probably will on the next sale I see for it. Something like 17 feature/content updates, and a lot are really big.

I don't remember such a time. All I remember on SRK was people dickriding Daigo, Justin and SooMighty. I would troll people on that dick riding, but that only set most of SRK off (and hence why people in the know would keep telling me to). You know all this. Don't pretend it wasn't that way. FGC has always been mostly fanboys and nerds living vicariously through a couple of pros. The competitive "scene" is just bigger now, as in it's easier to watch and more people follow along but don't actually play. I think in terms of actual players we have the least ever now, but in terms of viewers and people watching streamers and all that, yes it is more than before---purely because there is so much more streaming and there is CPT and all that official stuff that didn't exist before when A3 tourneys were like 8 dudes heading down to Philly on a weekend, and regionals were like, 60 people at the biggest ones.

That's the thing about fighting games. People are either bitching about them or talking shit to other players. It's an obnoxious genre to play unless you've got a good local offline group, and then it's really more enjoying a hobby with friends than anything else. Now generally speaking every multiplayer game is better with friends, but you can usually still have plenty of fun just playing solo queue in most games. Not really for FGs though. If I was a young dude growing up today I would not touch them. I happened to grow up in the arcade era and the games were popular, and so I enjoyed them. Totally different world today though. The FGC will usually gaslight about this, until some personality wants to ask about it, then suddenly they'll....usually attack casual players and gamers for not playing or not being "good" enough.

It's going to have to be a really good char to save this dying game.

What I don't get about this ScarJo thing, people are attacking her for enforcing her contract against a mega-billion dollar company with executives that make more than that yearly and they call her greedy for that. But why side with the billionaire oligarchs every time? Just why? If you think a millionaire has too much why do people think billionaires need to be so desperately protected and they shouldn't be taxed or forced to pay anything out? What is it with Americans and this insane mentality of protecting billionaires and large corps like they're defenseless, voiceless little children? Come on. Someone explain it. Hell don't even explain it just admit it, for some reason it's like pulling teeth to get people to admit people love siding with billionaires.

I've played about 160hrs of fighting games this year so far, which is over 5x of the decade previous combined. But I think that's fizzled out again. I don't like online play much at all unless I'm actively playing friends consistently, but at this point, even vaccinated, I probably won't be playing offline. I haven't touched anything in 3 weeks and I guess unless Kyo is the last SFV DLC char I probably won't again anytime soon. And what are the chances that Kyo is going to be in SFV? That's just so unlikely.

My barber is Jewish and a lot of Jewish people show up all the time, really orthodox too. They pretty much all despise Israel. I don't actually know any Jewish people in person that support Israel, despite the huge media push and a few vocal voices I've seen online. Israel is as much for the common Israeli/Jew as the US government is for a regular American citizen. Unfortunately the Israeli media and the Jewish agenda won't paint it that way so when there is a reckoning, and there is ALWAYS a reckoning for evil, most of it will probably fall on regular people while the bad guys get out of dodge like usual.

I got a 4k curved monitor yesterday. It's kind of cool but there really isn't much 4k content out there. The size, colors, curve and freesync are all pretty nice, but I'm going to need a new GPU for TW3 on 4k, and that's about the only game that really takes advantage of it that I have. Otherwise it's nice to read and watch on it, I'd still probably suggest it, but for gaming I wonder if it will be worth it any time soon. Maybe in like 3-4 years I guess, hopefully for Starfield and some other games I'm looking forward to.

You guys complain about women too much. I'm not attacking you for it, but I guarantee they aren't worth this much effort and thought. I guess I'm probably still a bit older than most of you, I promise as you get older the less of a shit you give about women. That's the real reason 40+ year old women can't garner any interest. They either have to go after men half their age who are broke and make them feel insecure, or they get ignored by men their age and older who want nothing to do with them.

I can kind of understand why though in this case. Like if you're that stupid, the only reason you have wealth of any kind if because of straight white privilege. Systemic, institutionalized racism that guarantees you a comfortable livelihood and your children being taken care of as well. The "other" side wants to do away with that and actually make the system meritorious. You might not know what that word means, and you might repeat talking points about minorities being lazy and poor and stupid and that you're part of the superior race, but deep down inside you keep noticing that the majority of people are smarter and more capable than you. Then you see Trump, a man that is very, very similar to you, and he's very wealthy and even became POTUS. And he's going to keep the current system, even advantage you even more, so you desperately cling to that. You're not smart enough to really understand all of this at a conscious level, but your subconscious, some level of self preservation and whatever tenuous grasp to reality you have tells you that you can't possibly compete in a fair world and you'd be in the absolute gutter, where you think minorities belong, and you even understand the systemic oppression that has kept them there, which benefits you. This is why right wingers are so low income and low education and why we think they are against their own interests, because most of us can understand class warfare and institutional issues in play. But the very bottom of the barrel that Trump draws from, it's not something that will help them. It will merely displace them all the way to the bottom where they belong, they have the understanding that it's zero sum and always hierarchical. And this is the only way to keep from being at the bottom---by forcing others even lower, despite getting exploited by the top more. There were articles in the past couple of years explaining all of this in some major publications, basically the idea of displaced white supremacy scaring these types and that's why they circle the wagons around Trump. I'm sure google can get those articles for anyone interested.
