  1. The article didn't mention race but I mean, most of us knew it wasn't going to be a white kid. The kid could have been any other race, black seemed the most probably but I certainly have come to expect every race other than whites to get abused by cops, children or otherwise. Hell even the MAGA dickheads when they stormed the Capitol started complaining about police abuse, despite the fact that they weren't getting shot at or tear gassed the way everyone else does at peaceful events during an outright invasion. Partly because a good chunk of GOP welcomed them in and they had a bunch of law enforcement within their ranks. That's just America. Blue states/large cities mitigate issues somewhat but don't erase them entirely of course. This abuse of power happens plenty in liberal cities as well. There's just no winning if you're a minority in the US. Hell I remember when that rich guy got profiled in his own neighborhood during Obama's term. The white power structure wasn't about to bow down even during a black President, so they glossed it right over after. To this day I still don't understand why minorities come to the US.
  2. I placed 42 orders on Amazon last year. I average something like a dozen most years. Obviously pandemic influenced, I wonder what it will be this year. Got two orders in already this month, for stuff that I normally wouldn't have had to order online (dental floss for one).
  3. I have a 14 year old Vizio, the picture is slightly off center and the buttons aren't super responsive, and the remote died a long time ago, but it's surprisingly still functioning. I have it connected to an old laptop, and I'll watch stuff off it while eating dinner most nights.
  4. Probably nothing will happen, but we might be seeing the beginning of the end for Wall St., which would be great because those parasites have been dragging down the economy for a long time.
  5. They'll just get bailed out again. We, the people, did not make it clear to the bankers and government back in 2008 that it was unacceptable, so they just laughed and got worse and worse. We won't do anything now. The only people with the balls in this country to actually do anything are ironically the dumbest people that do it for the wrong reasons.
  6. Same with me. It's not high class food we all know that, but it's cheap and it's actually usually healthier than other fast food options, and tastes pretty damn good. I think it's because it probably reminds us of high school cafeteria food. But outside of a few years in SoCal, I've never had one around me. I see their commercials, but that's it. And I think even the SoCal one I went to closed down a few years ago (I only know because I saw someone tweet about it closing).
  7. I guess it's a roleplay thing, but for me I'd never want to hurt someone I loved and I can't imagine someone that loved me wanting to hurt me either. So what do you really have left? I think that's why it's something people have to pay for--it's generally not going to happen in regular relationships. That being said there are people that have cuckold fetishes and rape fantasies so what do I know.
  8. Brady's been to 10 of the things and would have won 7 there. It would be real hard to equal that, and especially if he has the L to Brady, who will eventually retire, it's a hard sell. MJ needed to beat Magic to be MJ. Mahomes is going to have to beat Brady to be the GOAT.
  9. Game is usually close when it's Mahomes vs. Brady. Mahomes needs this badly though to have a chance at GOAT status. If Brady takes it, I don't think it's even possible to surpass him.
  10. McGregor's real strength was his promotional ability. Same deal with Rousey. In MMA smaller fighters and women didn't really sell until these two put those divisions on the map. Even now you often see people disparage the smaller fighters, despite the fact that obviously these smaller fighters would rip their heads off. I don't know what UFC will do without them, their only other mainstream star remaining today is probably Jon Jones and he's crazy.
  11. TKO is any ref stoppage, I'm not even sure why they use that term since they're usually just classified officially as KOs anyway.
  12. Ironically, this is more dangerous to do in a red state, where the MAGA heads will just pull a gun out and unload clips on any melanin enhanced people they see.
  13. She does have heels like that I think, that's her usual public image. But the weapons are going to be heavier than she is. That can be amusing sometimes. I'm always amused by the little girl with the giant weapon that has all sorts of spinny moves.
  14. The last couple of pages reminded me of r/nba, which has an average user age of 16.
  15. If our planet was the FF7 one, would COVID be the planet trying to clear us out?
  16. 12 years ago a friend of mine told me to open a youtube channel and just stream myself playing older games. I didn't bother. Now I see today how it's exploded, and I'm honestly stunned. I have no idea how good the money is or not, but it's probably pretty solid and some people seem to be living off it.
  17. Right but...that's the thing, that's just called cooking. It's Hamburger Helper that's the anomaly.
  18. Not to anyone specifically, but I wonder why people say "made from scratch". I mean as opposed to what, Hamburger Helper? Obviously you want to use quality ingredients, whereas scratch kind of connotates bad or missing. Usually people do just say they're making something or made something, but some people in some instances mention scratch. I just don't quite know when those situations are or if I'm missing something on that.
  19. Good job proving my point, one post after whining how women don't want men LOL
  20. 95% of the time it's dudes claiming that's what women say though. Otherwise they'd just link actual women saying this stuff. I find most men whine a lot more about what they think women complain about than what they actually do. If it was up to women, most of them would get knocked up in their teens and would be married mothers. But men don't allow them that option.
  21. I thought he sounded familiar! But I remember BTier being a really nice guy, and this guy was being kind of insulting.
  22. They also become physically bigger/stretch out. But that really isn't supposed to be at regular human speeds, your track example doesn't sound right. The Large Hadron Collider is something like 3.4 km or whatever and they have to super accelerate particles to even begin to notice any differences.
  23. lol I can't believe people respond to him and actually take it seriously. I wonder if Einstein is wrong about the speed of light though. His theories insist the speed of light is the absolute fastest anything can travel at. This is the one thing I suspect will wind up being wrong when the next major advancement and discoveries are done. Part of the reason I dispute that idea is, if light travels first, then what was the light illuminating with the Big Bang? Matter exploded out first and then light makes more sense to me.
  24. The way privilege generally works is rich white men--->rich white women---->rich minority men---->all other white women----->all other women=all other white men----->all other minority men Generally speaking, a group is unwilling to admit privilege exists to any group beneath them. So for instance, rich minority men will insist they have no privilege and are the same as everyone else----but will insist rich white men and women are privileged. Meanwhile they will abuse their privilege over every group beneath them and gaslight them. As you no doubt noticed, the shared trait of the top three groups is their wealth, which seemingly overrides other distinctions, but those distinctions do take effect tier wised still.
