  1. Honestly it's past time to put that horse out to pasture. There's been like two previous end of SRKs where people came back and did their farewells. The second time there were way less people doing that and by now, forget it, very few people are going to come back or even care. Anyone that cares at all is probably here.
  2. lol man, I have a few thoughts on people that complain about this stuff. But I'm lazy and don't like getting into any arguments. All I'm going to say is that...what you're describing, that's like every culture and every time period outside of 70s and later America. American dating is very recent and still not accepted in most places around the world, including Eastern Europe. Sure some Western Euro nations adopted it, and you're seeing it also in some other cultures like in South America, but it's still considered crazy liberal and something only loose women do. China is also beginning to edge a bit towards it with a rising middle class and women's incomes, but it also had decades of a one child only policy so everything is screwed up there. Japan's typically the most progressive and American oriented of the Asian societies, but they still do marriage interviews and call women "Christmas Cake" for being unmarried and over 25 or whatever. Plus they've got some serious issues in general. I know you're not reaaaaally worried about the human race dying out, but I can assure you, people will keep fucking and biology will take over. If COVID killed literally everyone over the age of 20 tomorrow, society would rebuild quicker and easier with people hooking up and having children left and right.
  3. Every time I look in the mirror, all these lines in my face getting clearer. The past is gone. It went by like dusk to dawn.
  4. You're supposed to still wear a mask. If everyone gets vaccinated and wears the mask for a year, they think that will get rid of COVID. I don't think it actually will, and it will take better vaccines that are probably coming in time.
  5. Steak depends entirely on the cut and quality. I'll go rare on great cuts and even well done won't help a bad cut, only thing for a bad cut is a long, slow, stewing process. And even that only can do so much.
  6. Greedfall is an okay game, but I wish it was better than it is. I finished the prologue and landed on New Selenes, and maybe it will just get a lot better, but I'm kind of thinking this game is what it is. It's not going to be great, it's going to be just extremely mediocre. I have a feeling I will just avoid Spider releases from now on. Technomancer was decidedly average too. I don't think this dev studio has what it takes to do anything better, it's this weird by the numbers style where it's not going to be offensively bad but also just can't be good, like you gotta take some risks to actually have a chance at being really good, but they make sure to avoid those risks. Like they're making a game to pass a class with a B.
  7. The main villain should be Lexi Luthor, a white/latina chick with kryptonite bootie shorts.
  8. PS2 being retro is hard for me to deal with. At least the emulation is pretty solid now I guess. Soon enough the XB360/PS3 will probably be considered retro as well. I think for me it would be cutoff at PSX for now, maybe PS2 to stretch in at most. I've actually been playing PS2 again. Never finished Legendia way back, I'm almost done with the main quest but it's honestly a little boring so I'm not sure I'll finish it. Prior to that I'd played through Suiko III a few times and enjoyed it, and right no switched off to DQ VIII which is going well. I did a run of PSX before that, playing through Suiko I+II, FF7, SO2 primarily. Wasn't feeling it for FFT, Xenogears, SOTN. I don't enjoy gaming as much as I did when I was younger, I know I absolutely loved these games before but now it feels like I just don't enjoy some. The ones I did enjoy, I'm not sure why, but they tended to feel even better than today's newer games, which I'm not necessarily also fond of. I'm old enough now that nostalgia can really kick in but also old enough that I guess I just don't enjoy a lot of stuff. I think this is the age that you start drinking a lot and probably using recreational drugs. Can't really work out and sleep as well as before so that's out, and it'd be weird to be chasing girls and getting hyped for that, kinda been there and done that. I guess some people still do that though. I remember Boomers saying we would stop playing games when we got older, but I think gaming still has a draw, just I'm more selective is all.
  9. I feel like I remember the name Stuart Hayden on the old SRK forums, but maybe not. Mine is because I figured if The Rock is the Brahma Bull, Austin is the Rattlesnake, and a bunch of people are named after lions and dragons and other stuff, I might as well be Serpent. Nobody seemed to really use that one, the closest was Orton with the Viper which was later. Shortening it to Serp seemed natural and that's what most people seem to just refer to it, which works fine too. I eventually looked up Serpent as a nickname. I think it's been used like twice before, one of the uses is some famous assassin/hitman or something. I guess maybe three times as the devil also goes by serpent, if you want to count that. IRL I pretty much always just use my real name and pretty much everyone calls me that, but oddly enough a couple of times I'll hear Serp/Serpent and one guy said something like "You're Holy Phoenix?!?" which I thought was silly. The Holy Phoenix moniker I just stuck on their back when people were running around with clan tags or whatever, and is based off Flame of Recca's Kurei character. Super old manga/anime that I bet most people never heard of.
  10. I've actually been wondering this for awhile...is iStu=Zoo?
  11. I looked at it but I don't think I'm eligible yet. It's not a big deal since I'm fully remote and should still be for months. I feel like once the supply is good and eligibility is expanded it won't be hard to get at all, like they'll have it at every local drugstore, so I won't need to worry about it. My mother pesters me about it occasionally but I usually kind of just hang up on her and ignore her. I'm too busy to deal with it right now, but I guess it will be important sooner rather than later. Not sure about the 2 shot one though, from what I'm hearing the one shot one is way easier to store and there's just more supply of it.
  12. lol seriously. Had a friend that was an NCAA division I wrestler. I had about 20 lbs on the dude, but he was as strong as an ox. One of the nicest dudes I'd ever known too, and always had my back. Got married to a co-worker and I remember the last time I talked to him was at the wedding. Hope he's still doing well.
  13. I had a friend suggest I do this 12 years ago. Not sure if it would have worked out but man if you've seen what streamers have to deal with a lot of the time, it's not enough money to deal with the internet's toxicity. The worst examples of humanity are always hunting down streamers and being toxic. If you really love it and want to do it as a hobby, and don't have any other choices, I can see it, but I doubt you're in that position. I think just not having to deal with losers is priceless.
  14. Honestly this stuff keeps happening because we give these people the understanding that we as a society will protect them from repercussions from their actions. If we made it clear that if they acted up, they'd get punched in the face and beat up, and that not only would we not protect them or help them, but in fact would just laugh at them, they would stop immediately.
  15. Just curious, what's your education level and occupation? No real reason I'm asking. Just trying to be in awe of how much smarter you are than other people.
  16. If I can't mock conservatives for marching on the Capitol, then I don't think they should be allowed to sit here and whine when some of them finally get some sort of repercussion for being openly racist, Anti-Semitic and sexist.
  17. 20 years ago I could get SRK being the way it was, with insecure young men being clueless and desperate. But come on now, it's 20 years later, most on here are middle aged, you guys gotta chill with that. At least act like you know. Yes I know what I did. I wonder where he is now.
  18. They're just angling for money, I doubt this goes anywhere. Not exactly my expertise, but I vaguely recall that you're right and warnings can be limited to common sense.
  19. Same for me. I think it's partly because I grew up only with regular TV, and they aired ToD all the time, and it was on the channels that actually came in with good reception with the old rabbit ear antennas. That, Hercules, Star Wars ANH and Speed were probably the most aired stuff on TV. Saturdays you'd also see Conan sometimes. I was surprised how fans hated ToD, but in retrospect, when I went to rewatch the old Hercules: legendary journeys with Kevin Sorbo, it was really pretty crappy. It's possible if I actually did rewatch Indy, I'd think it would suck too. I don't know when I'd see it again though.
  20. lol why is there a 2 year gap on this thing? Anyway, social media isn't actually social. They used to claim being on the internet and messaging people was anti-social and for geeks and nerds or whatever. But now everyone is on social media, and even pre-pandemic it seemed like most people prefer their social media life over their real life (although their social media is usually faking their real life being better than it is). So this makes me think most people are actually not sociable and only did that stuff because they felt pressured into it. When they had the choice, they clearly preferred to put some distance between themselves, as is also the case with the wealthier people are, the more distance and space they use and the more excuses they have for not being around people in general, especially regular people or strangers. So the idea that most people are extroverted is probably wrong, and maybe it's some sort of social programming from the top to try and force people into thinking they are, because somehow that makes things better for the people at the top, but really people just will take the non-social options if they have any choice at it, while claiming otherwise.
  21. People legit thought BB carried Brady when BB was a terrible HC before Brady.
  22. It's probably over. Sure it will take another 2 hours to actually play 20 minutes, but it's not enough time to score and stop the Buccs like 4x.
  23. There's a trick to that. Basically post up what you're doing that doesn't work, and pretend it's working and it's the right way to do it. The dumbass trolls will then post how to correctly do it and tell you how stupid you are and there's no way what you did could work.
  24. Nutrition matters, but not quite the way people think it does. It's really still mostly your actual physical activity (motion) as well as getting sunlight. For me sunlight and exercise are major appetite suppressants, and also naturally change my diet. If I'm healthier and more active, my body tends to crave healthier food. When I'm sedentary and indoors too much, I tend to find junk food is tastier. COVIDs been really tough on the sunlight and motion part. I would usually take daily walks and wait for public transport regularly, not so much anymore obviously. Not sure when we'll be able to walk around and go back to normal again. Winter I usually tend to be indoors more too, but that's usually after being out a light the warmer times, not so much this year as I've been indoors most of the time since the middle of March. I don't know about other people, but it's definitely getting to me mentally a bit now.
  25. https://reason.com/2021/02/01/she-could-have-been-hurt-worse-police-union-defends-officer-who-pepper-sprayed-9-year-old-girl/ lol of course the pigs back it.
