  1. Cops killing people again? I dunno, they can't help themselves.
  2. The smartest women I've ever met have also been the most attractive (or were when they were younger).
  3. You sure it's not a gay bar and the dude isn't trying to get a threesome?
  4. I know my reactions are shot now for FGs, can't hit confirm or punish and it's fine. But somehow I keep one shotting every insect that comes in. Just one swing one kill. Sometimes up to 3 swings max but haven't needed more than that. Usually 1, a couple of times 2 swings. I can whack them right out of the air, and actually that seems the most effective, they seem to be more on guard when they land on a surface, although I've gotten them plenty of times that way too. There was one hornet/wasp or something though that looked way too big to whack, fortunately it somehow crawled back out under the AC or something. I need to plug that up. It was the size of my thumb. Also there's just way too many insects getting in here. I turned a room into a home office, I had no idea this room had so many insects getting into it.
  5. I dunno what it is, but drugs and alcohol are almost always the right answer.
  6. Man people are really angry about this Cosby thing. Maybe women will march on the Capitol now.
  7. I have some opinions but don't necessarily want to post them. And I don't know that I'd DM you either. Too bad you're not on Discord. There are a multitude of reasons why this doesn't work nearly as well as you think it does, and is far worse than just approaching for men.
  8. Why are all of Cosby's accusers white women... And why are they now all attacking a black woman for saying something in support of him.
  9. I remember when SRK was at its peak, we would always get stories like this on Gen.
  10. I decided to bleach my towels. One is green, the bleach has made it less green with some spots as well. It's a fine towel and it actually doesn't bother me anyway. But there was no real reason to do that.
  11. @MillionXYou should be glad this stuff wasn't around back then, because they can track you and you'd have gotten caught and probably kicked out of school, likely beaten up by a mob first, and fully cancelled. Especially for the underage girls, they watch that stuff. They've even punished the girls for sending pics, of course they'd go after you as a guy. But on this topic, I wonder if that Kang guy got killed by some random dude trying to harass his girl in front of him.
  12. Nah you can, all it really does is keep you out of the hospital/the really bad symptoms. This first vaccine was merely a stopgap measure. There's going to have to be another one to give full immunity, although nobody is even sure if it's possible to get full lifetime immunity. I guess we'll see. I still wear a mask indoors/at stores, but I don't go to stores too much. I don't wear it in my car or when outside or around people I know indoors. I'm not sure when the masks won't be required indoors, but I'd prefer sooner rather than later.
  13. Do any of you play KOF98? I'm pretty casual now but I still like the game, if anyone wants to get games off FC2 hit me up. I really only know one person that plays it now and I don't mind losing but I don't really even compete, I'd like to play a bunch of people maybe and clean up my play a bit.
  14. Man, the way most people play today though, it's almost entirely knowledge checks. The human elements seem to be lessened. Laugh (the Korean player) identified 3 traits/categories of players. Top players have all of them but lesser players tend to be in one or two, and even top players will still probably have different strength numbers if you were to make like a character card of them. The traits are body, mind, heart, if I didn't get them wrong. Sajam does have a video on it. In the past, you could get away with any of them although I feel body is the most important and a requirement, others do disagree. Myself for example, my highest rating probably would have been heart, then body, then mind. Today, I feel most people are mind and then maybe body, heart tends to be missing. Most people to me play like AIs now, with setups and strings they've drilled non-stop, barely paying attention to what the opponent is doing especially once their string is starting. This is especially true in SFV, but many will claim all games are like that. I don't know, I just know back when I was playing, it was different. What you're describing, and the tweet you're responding to, yeah I'd enjoyed that too, that's what I loved about fighting games. Closely matched competitors constantly adjusting and adapting to each other, going back and forth. That mental and emotional battle. But I just really have to disagree that it's like that now.
  15. About a year ago but it's really bad netcode. Poorly implemented rollback is not a good experience. Someone actually made a patch to fix some of the really bad stuff. Capcom then changed V so that you could no longer use that patch. They made their own patch which improved the netcode, but wasn't as good as the patched version. This version imo is still unplayable so I can only imagine how bad SFV over a year ago was.
  16. The lag and delay on SFV is so ridiculous, I don't know why people even accept it. I played some KOF98 on FC2 yesterday night and it felt pretty damn good. My reactions still aren't as good as they were when I was younger, that's normal though. But SFV had me convinced I was some sort of geriatric simpleton, it usually felt like a second or two late one everything.
  17. The internet is like weapons. The tools are good, it's just people are bad.
  18. This is why I always tell people to get cardio in. I can tell you've been doing cardio. People say oh you need to do so much to burn fat, it's not worth it, it's all calories in. But that's ignoring that cardio especially is an appetite suppressant and fitness in general changes your body's natural dietary craving. It's simply easier to eat healthy if you're active. I'm not a huge fan of a "diet" specifically, I think it's more cleaning up naturally. Nothing short term, albeit you might want to try some keto here and there, but generally long term dietary choices. That being said, the occasional fast food is perfectly fine. Especially on a rest and recovery week.
  19. The FGC can't even agree on notation, partly because they can't seem to be bothered to actually do written resources anymore and would rather just have videos scattered around on youtube and social media. There are more resources today than ever, but it's a hell of a lot more "work" too. Some people are getting paid now, but most people never will, yet everyone's putting in way more work. Smashers and unga Kens might be the last group of people that just are in it to have fun.
  20. That's the thing though, population could outright collapse in 2-3 months, in which case I don't know that I'd want to play it then. I feel like fighting games take so much time and commitment to learn properly that it's a waste to only play them a couple of months, I'd like to at least be able to play said game for a few years. +r had (has?) a pretty active population so maybe Strive also will be fine. I dunno though. I haven't really played fighting games, especially seriously, for a very long time. And with said long layoff and with age, I don't know if would again. I'm just kind of keeping an eye on things. I played X, #r, and whatever was in between some 20 years ago, so I have some familiarity, but I won't know how much carryover there is. But a 10+ year SF layoff wasn't too bad so maybe 20 years on GG would be fine too, I dunno. I'm interested if its popular and maintains a large playerbase but otherwise, meh, I'd rather just casually play some old FC2 titles that I already played before and not worry about learning new things.
  21. I wonder how Strive will affect SFV going forward, and how much Strive can maintain as well. Have we already or will we see the peak in the next week or so, or will we see growth for awhile and a real revival of FGs? It's been a looooong time since FGs were legit a major genre. It feels like everything else has gotten more moments to shine in the sun. I haven't jumped on Strive but I might in the next couple of months. I just want to see if people are still playing it in 3 months.
  22. The Matrix still applies today. "Hey do you want this great society where you can live in comfort and happiness?" "No, I would rather suffer doe". "But like....really, there's more than enough resources, you could be happy you know?" "Yeah but, that means other people would be happy too right? I don't want that. I'd much rather a few people be happy even if it's not me, just so I can point and laugh at other people suffering like me and insist I'm better than them" "Illogical..." "I'm human doe, that makes me smarter than you, stupid machine".
  23. Be that as it may, you are one person, and there are 8B+ people in the world, with that number ever increasing exponentially. Over half of those are females. And the vast majority of men are thirsty and will simp hard for every female. And quite frankly, that simping the vast majority of the time leads to reproduction, hence the 8B and climbing world population. There simply is no normal scenario I see where the population declines and the vast majority of women can not manage to get male interest, should they desire it. Remember, not all females want it to begin with either, you have to also account for women who do not desire men, for whatever reason. The only way men ever stop simping for women is when men die off, and the number of men becomes very small, such as after wars and plagues (women typically get preference for healthcare and all resources, and are also protected from war, so men typically die out when these events pressure the population). My belief is the men that think they are going to stick it to women and that women can't find male partners are fools. Just not going to happen. I'm not going to tell them what to do, but to me it is a foolish mindset and they'd be far better off getting an actual hobby or something, and worrying about themselves instead.
