  1. I finished watching all of the Rambo films over the last five days. I had never seen them before. My ratings: First Blood - 8.5/10 Rambo: FB2 - 7.5/10 Rambo 3 - 6.5/10 Rambo (2008) - 8/10 Rambo: Last Blood - 6/10 Impressions: The breakdown scene at the end of the First Blood is one of Stallone's best performances alongside the first Rocky/Creed films. The sheriff in the first movie should have gotten a little more character background. Apparently, in the First Blood novel, he was a Korean war vet and has resentment because he feels Vietnam vets and WW2 vets go the lions share of attention and not those of his war. I was surprised that the Viet girl in 2 dies right after they kiss. It was cool that 3 had him go after Col Trautman, but the final battle was bit too cartoonish. Also, it really feels like pro-Afghanistan film. There's a dedication to "the people of Afghanistan" as the credits roll. I guess they were trying to show the costs of war among a foreign country's citizens, but part of me was wondering if they wanted to appeal to conservatives and dunk on Soviets at the same time. These films sure are lean. 80-97 minute runtimes without credits. 4 and 5 sure ratchet up the violence. for 4, it adds to the terrifying vibe of the Burmese soldiers and the hopelessness. 5 feels like an audition for Rambo to be featured as DLC in Mortal Kombat 11 - The 2 main villains are taken out in true FATALITY style. It took me out of the film a bit- 1-3 had R ratings but never went that far. Million, you would probably love 4 and 5 especially. The last 30 minutes of 5 feels like it could be called "Home Stallone" My issues with 5 are that it feels a bit too modern in terms of lighting. The neon lights and how it is shot makes it look a bit too glossy. The plot feels like a Taken type of film. The military elements seem downplayed. I do like that he set up his own Viet Cong style tunnels on his own property though. Learn what worked against you and use it on another enemy. I would have liked the last film to be more drama and maybe downplay the action a bit. Also, maybe have mostly American" villains or something that couldn't just be physically beaten. I really liked this song at the end of First Blood.
  2. Spider-man's Greatest Moments: First appearance of the black alien costume (ASM 252) (1984) The alien costume debuted in this issue though chronologically it first appeared in Secret Wars #8 published a few months later. In that story, Spider-man reached into a machine that generated a costume similar to the Julia Carpenter spider-woman. After Secret Wars ended, Peter returned to earth and used the costume. It responded to his thoughts to come on and off, produced its own webbing from its own mass, and could imitate other clothing. While Peter was initially excited, the costume would envelop him while sleeping and force him to go webslinging. Soon, Pete goes to Reed Richards and learns that the costume is ALIVE! And thus after removing it, The amazing Bag-man is born (for just one issue ) (ASM 258) For the next 50 some issues, Peter uses a cloth version of the black costume made by the Black Cat. However, in the new Web of Spider-man, the costume returns and mimics his old costume, and while trying to fight it, some 3rd rale Vulture wannabees named Vulturions try and fight him. This takes him to a church where he finds that.. However, while the symbiote bonded to him , it gained some emotions and saves Pete from being inured by the bells. Note: Peter will use a black costume until ASM 300 where a venomous journalist makes his debut. Some of these scenes (church bell) and the nightmare Pete has in ASM 258 are homaged in Spider-man TAS "The alien costume" parts 1-3 in the first season. 3:30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_Yoik2WfEQ

  8. Between Trump and Musk, there exists the perfect tie length. Also, at the last bit, NIGGA YOU GAY!
  9. The second image of Jean, Cyclops, and Maddie above is photoshopped. Jean/Scott are from an inside panel of X-men #1 (1991) and Maddie is photoshopped into the image from a pinup of X-men villains that Jim drew that was at the back of the book or on a poster. The original image has Madelyne placing her hand on Sinister's chest and with a dark blue color instead of black. )There are modifications of the below image using computer coloring which had the black Madelyne costume. However since this was in 1991- Marvel wasn't using computer coloring yet (That was in 1994 for the X-titles)
  10. How is it there in Qatar with world cup? Do you come back for Thanksgiving or Christmas?
  11. https://www.lamarsacuisine.com/locations I don't even know if its in your area. My ex gf lived in Sterling Heights and Shelby Twp, MI and we went there 1/2 times. It is a middle eastern restaurant that has multiple locations in MI. I love their fattoush salad, kebabs, etc. I really liked it a lot, esp compared to many of the middle eastern places here in Tampa.
  12. Happy Birthday Axeman! Have you ever been to a restaurant called La Marsa?
  13. Spider-man's Greatest Moments: "The Kid who Collects Spider-man" (ASM 248) (1983) Spider-man meets a hardcore fan after his story is printed in a Daily Bugle column. Spider-man recounts his origin and recalls some early adeventures to Tim. Tim asks who Spider-man really is and... After noting the supreme irony of selling pictures of himself to a man who hates his guts, Spider-man says goodbye to Tim and swings out the window.
